Mels Posted January 12, 2021 Posted January 12, 2021 Hi guys, I've just changed the slide on my 18c. Everything was fine until I put the selector switch back in. Now its stuck on single fire. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Cr0-Magnon Posted January 12, 2021 Posted January 12, 2021 Arrgggh, I would struggle to explain it but I've just rebuilt one of these and it is very fiddly to get right. You're best watching a Youtube vid on it and following step by step.
Mels Posted January 12, 2021 Author Posted January 12, 2021 The trouble I'm facing now is that I can't seem to move it at all, even too remove it. I was hoping I've missed something obvious.
Mostly Retired Moderators L3wisD Posted January 12, 2021 Mostly Retired Moderators Posted January 12, 2021 @rocketdogbert? Have you come across this on your billions of Glock rebuilds? ?
Guest Posted January 12, 2021 Posted January 12, 2021 @L3wisD Hate the bloody things, try not to touch G18’s anymore ??. As has been said, check out a few vids, try to dislodge the selector ??♂️
Mels Posted January 12, 2021 Author Posted January 12, 2021 Thanks guys, ill check out a few more videos and try to figure out what its stuck on.
Root Admin proffrink Posted January 12, 2021 Root Admin Posted January 12, 2021 From what I recall from my times fucking with Marui glocks, check you've not lost the tiny spring that goes in the selector itself. If the spring is crimped that can cause a lot of issues, and this happened to me a few times on reassembly. Basically take it apart and put it back together again is worth a go most of the time anyway.
Cr0-Magnon Posted January 13, 2021 Posted January 13, 2021 Sounds like you positioned the selector incorrectly and the little pin bit is pushing out in the wrong place. See if you can locate it and push it back a bit to allow you to rotate.
Mels Posted January 15, 2021 Author Posted January 15, 2021 Hi guys, Thanks for the help and advice with some small modifications to the nub im back in business. Thanks again.
