Asomodai
Take the slide off and silicon grease the rails they run on. Plenty of youtube guides showing you how to do this. That's the first thing I'd do regardless of any further advice. It the slide rails are bone dry then the slide wont go anywhere. What gas are you using? Is the slide metal or plastic? Chris55
thanks gave at a good clean with a degreaser and then lubed it up using silicone spray (wd40) no change

Pick up some true 100% silicon oil instead. Is the slide metal or plastic and what gas are you using now? Are you filling the mag with gas correctly? (Bottle nozzle pointing towards ground?) Chris55
Green gas pointing down and metal slide Its not wd40 its their specialist lubricant silicon but I'll pick some plain silicon up soon thanks
Supporters Rogerborg Posted August 24, 2020 Supporters Share Posted August 24, 2020 For metal to metal, I use 3-in-1 oil or a drop of lightweight motor oil if you have any to hand. Silicone is great for plastic or rubber, but metal to metal just needs any sort of slip-and-slide gloop. That said, any sort of lube should do the trick short term. Does the slide feel like it's catching at all? If not, how long are you gassing the mag for? You can't over-gas it - it'll stop filling when it equalises pressure with the can. Is there any sound or smell of gas leaking from the mag?
