speedfreek Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 Hi all, Can anyone recommend me some gas to use with my TM M92F, metal slide and receiver and uprated recoil spring? Thanks in advance!
bigshep Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 flippant answer: methane, readily available, but quite hard to gather and preasurize
kejot Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 any 134a gas should work , might struggle with the metal slide, id go for green or propane
speedfreek Posted April 16, 2011 Author Posted April 16, 2011 Thanks guys, Is the gas in this link what I should be aiming for? Also, generally how many mag fulls do you get out of a full can? Sorry for the completely noob questions!
kejot Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 thats the one, but how many mags is impossible to say, but loads it depends on mag size and gun type, full metal gbb use most, but you should get 1-2 loads per magfull of gas, and how cold/hot it is also might be worth looking at a AI propane adapter and get some propane bottles, soon pays for its self if you use pistol a look
speedfreek Posted April 16, 2011 Author Posted April 16, 2011 also might be worth looking at a AI propane adapter and get some propane bottles, soon pays for its self if you use pistol a look Thanks for that - much appreciated. Will only be a secondary weapon so won't be used a hell of a lot
kejot Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 Will only be a secondary weapon so won't be used a hell of a lot i said that as well, but use it as much if not more love pistol only games now
Cam-the-airsoft-sniper Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Personaly I would only use 134a but hey! its your gun.
speedfreek Posted April 17, 2011 Author Posted April 17, 2011 Personaly I would only use 134a but hey! its your gun. What is your justification for that? Any specific reason?
Supporters M_P Posted April 17, 2011 Supporters Posted April 17, 2011 With a metal slide, is use green gas or propane
Cam-the-airsoft-sniper Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 Simple because I prefer to play it safe... My poor, poor revolver...
Supporters Nutster Posted April 17, 2011 Supporters Posted April 17, 2011 Green gas is just propane from what I remember, so it's probably cheaper in the long run to look into getting the propane adapter and a small'ish propane canister
Supporters Finius Posted April 17, 2011 Supporters Posted April 17, 2011 Doesn't airsoft specific "green gas" have lubricants and such in? I've always been told as much.
Supporters M_P Posted April 17, 2011 Supporters Posted April 17, 2011 yeah green gas has lubricants propane doesnt
speedfreek Posted April 17, 2011 Author Posted April 17, 2011 yeah green gas has lubricants propane doesnt From what I have seen the propane adaptors have lubricants that you actually place into the adaptor so when you charge the mag it loads it with lube as well? Long term I think that will be the easiest option - and most cost effective.
Supporters M_P Posted April 17, 2011 Supporters Posted April 17, 2011 I believe thats how it works but I'm not 100% sure. I use green.
