Cerbo Knight
love then except for the paint job on the scar-L,I really hate digi, but still nice guns. Love the M14 Thanks, I'm not too keen on the Scar's paint job either but I'll soon fix that with some OD and black :] The M14 is my first AEG, and I don't think I'll ever get rid of it. Maybe. Though the WE M14's look incredible.

Supporters Liam Porter Posted September 19, 2011 Supporters Share Posted September 19, 2011 I had Butler Creek ones, but they split at the hinge on both. What FPS are your guns shooting at?
MZKaleem
a high one. and james, it doesnt bother me too much, i dont tend to concentrate on the colour of the gun as long as it isnt tan or green/orange/blue/clear etc lol
Cerbo Knight
The M40 can go anywhere between 800 and 200, dependant on weather and gas while the M14 and the Scar are running at around 330. Though I'm thinking about upping the M14 to 425 and locking it to semi
Supporters M_P Posted September 19, 2011 Author Supporters Share Posted September 19, 2011 I love the m40, m14 is nice too, though I'm not keen on the eotech. Scar would indeed look better in black with OD upper and cheek rest

I don't know why, but I've always had a thing for M14's with EOtechs...

Supporters Liam Porter Posted September 19, 2011 Supporters Share Posted September 19, 2011 I've been doing this biology for about 4 hours.. done one page so far. And to keep kinda on topic, any ideas how I can get rid of my horrible shiny black plastic on my L96? Also, colour suggestions are nice, fancy a change

Cerbo Knight
Seconded, OD L96's are the only way to go. OD rifles look good in general
Supporters M_P Posted September 19, 2011 Author Supporters Share Posted September 19, 2011 If I'm honest I prefer two tone green l96's to black ones i think black is too dull and a bit boring
Supporters Liam Porter Posted September 19, 2011 Supporters Share Posted September 19, 2011 I was thinking OD. Now, any tips on painting it? Apart from the obvious like disassemble, cover parts you don't want painted up, etc?
Cerbo Knight
Krylon. That's pretty much it. I don't do anything to my rifles apart from rub them down with a lint free soft cloth - to make sure there's no loose particles. I think they come out pretty well. Oh and there's the biggest tip. Patience. That goes miles.
Supporters M_P Posted September 19, 2011 Author Supporters Share Posted September 19, 2011 Sand it slightly to rough up the surfaces you want to spray
Cerbo Knight
Yeah, forgot to mention that with spray paints that aren't krylon you'll need to sand the surfaces first.
