Will this be ok for woodlands?

If so is this the beSt in this price range?

Hmm... Might buy this one myself :)

Question regarding the springs though, which should I go for?

A combat machine is a great way to start and me also being a newbie am going to get as my first gun.

CM16 raider (tan)

Also another gun that alot of new people use is the G36C which is a good looking and robust gun model which is in your budget. And as already said dont get a £20 gun which feeds from the scope. Because you will get oblitterated at skirmishs!

Ok, so after having a look about and based on advice here it seems a Combat raider is the way to go......

such as: http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?cPath=268_318_403_494&products_id=6076

However,

As I would be willing to spend a bit more, is it worth going for something like this instead?

http://www.proairsoftsupplies.co.uk/acatalog/G-G-TR4-MOD0-TGR_016_MD0_BBB_NCM.html

I mean they are both upgradable internally just as much as each other right? and is the more expensive gun worth the difference would you say? I am not quite sure what I am doing with all this just yet!..

Thanks again guysh!!

nah - if he wants to spend a bit more on gun with a little more ooomppphhhhh:

http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?products_id=4839

or if that is too much:

http://polarstarairsoft.com/products/complete-rifles.html

but many think either has a "slight" unfair advantage, some sites don't like either on regular skirmish days

and understand as these are way beyond the lame a$$ traditional AEG's

but hey if money (& bb's) are no object fill both ya boots and go absolutely nutz

just lmk where you are going to skirmish so I can avoid

Yup.... Borrowed a combat machine and found it nice to use. Prefer slightly heavier weapons but could easily get on with one. Will buy one ASAP and start the pimpage!!!

Hey guys.

As a proper noob I am in need of kit. I currently use a MP5K (which my brother gave me) with a red dot sight and tracer unit attached, This works great at my local indoor skirmish site but I want something bigger and better :)

Next summer I plan to attend lots of outdoor sites as well as my regular indoor haunt so I would like some more firepower.

I like the look of M4s and have had a look around and they seem pretty well customisable which is another factor as I want to add torches, sights etc and make look really cool :)

So I was wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction, there are LOADS of shops and sights selling M4s and I just do not know enough to work out the difference yet and would like some pointers.

So, I am looking for:

An assault rifle, possibly an M4 which:

Looks good

Is adaptable for accessories

A possible starting point for a project to customise with different parts

Will be robust enough for indoor and outdoor skirmishes

No more than £250

I am open to suggestions and have found some I have asked my 2 airsoft buddies to look at ANY help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Al

M4 is good but its hard to find some good gun with very less price take a look at airsplat.com
