ikarma70 Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Hi, I have a mate who has a hardly used 10 year old tm ak47 with original box and bits, he suspects the battery is knackered but has lost the charger, what's its value please? Atb Andy
Supporters Monty Posted August 2, 2014 Supporters Posted August 2, 2014 I've seen them sell for around the £130 range on a few forums.
ikarma70 Posted August 3, 2014 Author Posted August 3, 2014 10 year old? Errr.... around the £100 mark? Wondered if it's worth buying given it's age and lack of use?
Unrustle_Thine_Jimmies Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 80 or so quid or so sounds fair to me. In Japan the price of a new one is about 130-140 pounds. TM's casting is generally good so I would not worry about zinc pest on the metal parts or the plastic degrading and becoming brittle. the age does not mean much since the old AK47 AEG has not changed since it's release in 1994. Plenty of people have owned decade old TMs with no major issues.
Supporters Lozart Posted August 4, 2014 Supporters Posted August 4, 2014 Wondered if it's worth buying given it's age and lack of use? My TM M4 was about that old when I bought it. New hop rubber and a general clean up/service and you'll be fine.
