bornleverpuller
Why do the major websites and even the few shops I have been to struggle to keep adequate stock levels? I realise that the majority of items are made in the far east but I don't imagine these are cottage industries so why arent they getting enough in? Unrustle_Thine_Jimmies
Most products are bought via Hong Kong wholesalers who always put stuff on the slowest boat to Europe/USA. Because dem dirty azns h8 us.
Carrel
Also there is a certain amount of supply and demand. If there is no demand there is no supply so when it comes around to someone wanting something there is difficulty getting supply because of shipping products ect ect. Tariq
Most retailers arnt bothering with a lot of TM products, as they are pretty expensive, not aimed at our market and other cheaper brands are putting out guns just nearly as good. Asian orders from distributors aren't flown in. They get put in shipping containers which can take 1-2 months to arrive.
Supporters Ian_Gere Posted December 29, 2013 Supporters Share Posted December 29, 2013 I think it's less about the way that HK Wholesalers do business, although I'm sure that does impact us, and more about the fact that as a market UK airsoft isn't that big and there are an awful lot of suppliers trying to serve it. The majority of UK suppliers are really small businesses too, so it just doesn't make sense for them to hold items in stock which may only sell 1-2 units per year, or less even. One supplier who seems to be sticking his neck out with his inventory, but doing so in consultation with his customer base, is Eagle6, but again it's a very small business (not the bloke's main job) so if you're after something less than common which he doesn't think much of, you're fucked! Supporters M_P Posted December 29, 2013 Supporters Share Posted December 29, 2013 It is hugely frustrating though I'd agree, you'd think that the bigger retailers would hold more stock to last a longer time- its been like this for ages, surely some of them would've realised that by now. Still can't believe that none of the big retailers stock a decent amount of KWA stuff.
