kirvesuk Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Hi all, I fancy something different to wear to my next airsoft game, and as I use a G36k and am a bit of a fan of all things German, thought about a gsg9 loadout. I'm still a total noob at where to build a loadout from, can anyone give me some help as to where I could buy black combat gear and other gsg9 appropriate items? Thanks all!
Russe11 Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 wasn't someone selling black combat gear in the sales part of these forums? Something like this might work too http://www.britishmilitarysurplus.co.uk/ishop/1069/shopscr147.html
kirvesuk Posted December 11, 2013 Author Posted December 11, 2013 Guys - is it possible to get a helmet that has a functional face visor? I was thinking you could have the visor down and not bother with glasses then?

There are some FAST style helmets with an integral visor on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Paintball-Tactical-Fast-Base-Jump-Goggles-Protection-BJ-Airsoft-Helmet-Black-/190989889540?pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&hash=item2c77e27004
Airsoft_Mr B Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 I still wouldn't trust those visors though, I know I saw one on a cheaper helmet so of course it's bound not to be good quality but personally I would like to have the peace of mind my eye pro is full seal and there's no chance a BBs going into my eye. Are the visors even properly ballistics tested? Besides, would your site allow it?
Supporters Ian_Gere Posted December 18, 2013 Supporters Posted December 18, 2013 Those visors are dodgy. Definitely. Somebody had a thread about them a while back - a BB went straight through and a few more shattered it into pieces. There is a British Army Anti Mine Visor which obviously withstands BB's at any velocity they could exit a muzzle at without disintegrating. It's designed to fit the MK6 helmet but would fit a PASGT or any with slightly wider ear areas. Having used one on my MK6 I can say that you have to be careful with your breathing to avoid fogging, which is easy enough, but what cannot be dealt with, except by a specialised rifle stock of a sort which I have only seen available for AK-74 and MP5 variants, is that you can't sight down the barrel at all.
