MacBones Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 I've used a G&G top tech TR4-18 version 3 and thought it was amazing, so I'm looking at buying a new gun but torn between that one http://www.proairsoftsupplies.co.uk/acatalog/t4_18_416_light_top_tech.html or A G&P gun like http://www.proairsoftsupplies.co.uk/acatalog/M4-MRP-Combat--S--AEG-G-P-GP_AEG009BK.html which is £100 dearer, if anyone can comment on either or if indeed has used both and can compare them to each other or similar weapons I'd be very gratefull. cheers.
Baz JJ Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 I have the Gen 3 416 from G&G. No complaints except there is a bit of butt wobble when its extended. No trades obviously.

Yes I noticed that myself, its no real issue though, I'm just wondering if a G&P in the same cost bracket will be a superior weapon build/performance wise.
Supporters Airsoft-Ed Posted October 9, 2013 Supporters Posted October 9, 2013 The G&G comes pre-upgraded with a tightbore barrel, high torque motor and a mosfet, so you can use 11.1v LiPos out of the box without any issues at all. The G&P comes with none of those things, but costs more. G&G is definitely better value for money in my opinion, but performance will probably be about the same in terms of range and rate of fire.
MacBones Posted October 9, 2013 Author Posted October 9, 2013 Thanks Airsoft-Ed, a good pause for thought there. I wouldnt want to start sinking more money into the G&P to bring the internals up to the standard of the G&G.
Baz JJ Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 I didn't even consider the GP. My dilemma was the VFC that Pro Air now stock.
robbo0070 Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 g & g top tech get my vote not had a problem with mine.
Sam_G Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 I had the G&P MRP CQB so the really short version of the one you posted. Loved it! No wobble at all. it was the most solid gun i have had. Never used a top tech. I would be tempted by the MRP due to the fantastic quality. Just changed the hop rubber on mine and it was great.
Supporters M_P Posted October 9, 2013 Supporters Posted October 9, 2013 G&Gs shoot better but feel like toys compared to a g&p. If you want great externals go G&P, if you want better performance go G&G
