And sure.you havent found any suppressors? Virtually everyone is 14mm ccw! Aha, Spartan Doctrine are dead cheap, or Sp00ns ones are good, but abit pricey for a silencer, in my opinion. Id go Spartan, £6!
Supporters Ian_Gere Posted August 14, 2013 Supporters Share Posted August 14, 2013 You remember from 'Science' that stuff has a centre of gravity, right? So the further some part is from the centre, the more its weight affects the centre of gravity... A suppressor is just such a part - they aren't that heavy, but it's weight that tips the balance of the rifle forward, which makes your offside arm (left if you're right handed), which will be weaker anyway, ache more. They don't really do much either, because most of the sound an AEG makes isn't coming out of the barrel. Still, they can look cool, so why not... https://www.google.co.uk/#bav=on.2,or.r_cp.r_qf.&fp=7fcd4423faf4195f&q=spartan+doctrine+silencer ? Supporters Ian_Gere Posted August 14, 2013 Supporters Share Posted August 14, 2013 Really? http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/spartan-doctrine-40x200mm-light-weight-silencer-14mm-cw-ccw.html or you could ring up RedWolf UK and ask them when they'll have a black one in next / to get one from HK for you. & the battery is the exact same one from Component Shop as Fire Support, but cheaper. I've never used a Kong charger, but if it's the same people who make the King Kong MOSFET's (which I say so somebody else who may know can tell us), it will be good. I can tell you that Turnigy chargers are good and easy to use as I have one (Accucell 6 which is more expensive than the one I'm recommending, but I wanted to charge a greater variety of batteries). You don't need to charge various NiMh batteries as well as LiPo's, so that one is perfect. It's not only cheaper than the Kong one, but you can order it at the same time as your battery and save P&P. That said, I recommend that you buy 2 of those batteries. I would not be surprised if you run one down before the end of a day, but also because it is always good to have a spare. You don't actually need a LiPo Alarm, so long as you trust yourself to remember that if your gun slows down you MUST stop pulling the trigger otherwise you risk over-draining your battery and damaging it permanently. If you have a spare battery, you'll not be put in the position where you think the gun may be slowing down, but you're not sure if it is slow enough to have to stop, and you don't want to stop because you're having such a laugh spraying BB's all over the opposition! Component Shop ~ 2 x Vapex 7.4V Crane Stock Batteries & Turnigy LiPo Charger + 1st Class Recorded Shipping = £41.44 Fire Support ~ 2 x Vapex 7.4V Crane Stock Batteries & Kong Multi Charger + Recorded Shipping = £57.

Supporters Ian_Gere Posted August 14, 2013 Supporters Share Posted August 14, 2013 Don't be afraid to order from abroad, Jourdan. Most shipments arrive safely and well within the estimated time. Technically you are supposed to pay VAT on items from outside the EU which cost you over a set amount, about £15 IIRC, plus a handling fee of £8-ish. But in practice, unless it's a big package, or a gun, 90% of packages from China or HK will not be examined by customs and you'll not have to pay anything. Shinobi
I believe Airsoft Clubs shipping for one-two small objects (Suppressors, nothing else lads ), is only like normal UK postage. And then possibly Customs as Ian said, but unlikely

Just google whatever it is you want in whichever colour you want, it's extremely simple. I hear what you're saying there, but as a recent convert myself having had no previous experience with the hardware the only reason I didn't post a similar barrage of questions was because I have a good mate that's into airsoft who guided me through the "buy this it's good"/"don't buy that it's worthless crap" phase. If you're presented with a web page full of different suppressors for example, if you've never used one before you wouldn't necessarily know that they have different threads (CW/CCW) or that they make three parts of f-all difference to the noise coming from the gun. You'd have no idea that while the internals of a G&G Combat Machine are basically the same as a Top Tech, that the Top Tech will weigh something approaching the mass of Guildford or that if you forget to wind your high cap mag you will find yourself looking rather foolish when BB's stop coming out the pointy end in the middle of a firefight! At least Jourdan_S has had the decency to limit his questions to one thread unlike some spamtastic types that have recently frequented this here forum. Cut him some slack. infynity
We have all been in this situation, its worth going to a shop to handle some guns really. I originally purchased a SRC G36C when I first started as I was recommended it as a good starter gun. To be honest I regretted it. It weighs quite a lot and the retractable stock became a pain in the arse. Id recommend the Tokyo Marui GBB MP7A1, its small, well made, powerful, sounds great. Its gas so no need to charge batteries. The drawback is the mag s only take 40 bbs, but once you get in to airsoft you realise this is more realistic and better fun. Mike636
I wouldn't recommend any GBB for a beginner , can be unreliable in cold weather, higher maintenance standard, cost of gas and out of curiosity how much are spare magazines?

Jourdan_S
Ok, i think i know the answer to this (yes i've researched) but i still would like to ask you this question: I am under 18, is there any way i can purchase RIF's, i.e. through UKARA which i cant because of the Age limit, but still is there (in a legal way)?
