Unrustle_Thine_Jimmies
Another thing I found on reddit. Go me. Bolt Airsoft is a new Taiwan based company who make EBB Recoil AEGs. The guns have vastly superior recoil to the Marui Recoil shock M4 series(416,SOPMOD,RECCE etc..)having greater or equal recoil to the harder kicking SCAR and AK series. It does not however, feature bolt lock functions like the Marui, which is a bit of a shame. The first generation BOLT guns were plagued with problems, the second generation features new redesigns for more reliability.Rather worryingly,it has some design features akin to the TREMORS kit, which, was a rather big failure, however beefed up internals hope to fix that. They seem to be standard AEG internals(GB wise and Hop wise) and not the Marui types, which means easier upgrading. The recoil engine seems to be stuck to M4s,but hopefully bolt will come up with a design for other guns. They also use standard AEG mags which is great since the TM ones are very expensive. An Internal overview of the gun is available here,it is a little advertisey but is an excellent overview. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tuJeuo95Clk RA Tech have also made a comparison to the Marui M4 SOCOM and the BOLT B4A1 They Retail for Around 380$(280£) It's great to see companies coming up and innovating,I really would love some recoil goodness and not pay mahoosive amounts of money. Supporters M_P Posted August 8, 2013 Supporters Share Posted August 8, 2013 Pretty sure these have been around for a year or two now on wolf armouries? I wonder if they'll last very long internally? Would be nice but with the KWA erg in the mid £300s and the TMs a bit more than that, I'm not sure there is a huge market for these especially seeing as they're from a pretty much unknown brand. Unrustle_Thine_Jimmies
It's small company with a rather solid gun, they deserve some attention, and this is more news for the new gen versions.

I'm all for news on new stuff, I just can't see them selling huge numbers as they cost £350 over here. That's around the same as the new KWA recoil rifles and only £50 or so short of a tm. Supporters jcheeseright Posted August 8, 2013 Supporters Share Posted August 8, 2013 indeed, while the recoil is stronger will the QC be as stringent at the factory? I'm happy to pay the extra for a gun I know will not break down.
Unrustle_Thine_Jimmies
It's 380USD actually, not 350USD,Got the price wrong. It's only about 280£.

Yes but once retailers add shipping to them, tax and their own mark up it'll be nearer £350 (that's what they're currently being sold at)

Supporters jcheeseright Posted August 8, 2013 Supporters Share Posted August 8, 2013 no, it really doesn't. The recoil from these guns isn't very significant.
Chippins
Not really worth the extra money. I'd still get a gas gun over it.
