I've never heard of Golden Bow before, which makes me assume it can't be all that great a brand name.

Pretty much all the G36s are cheap and fairly good, try an SRC Version 3, KWA, Jing Gong, Classic Army, Tokyo Marui etc.

But not the Ares... Or any that might be on justbbguns.

Due to my amazing GoogleFu I belive that JG's other name is Golden Bow, but dont quote me on it.

Aye, I remember hearing something like that before, but I thought it was that they were one of the manufacturers CYMA occasionally use and brand as their own work.

But, like Cam, I'm not 100% sure on that.

From what I'd heard, Golden Bow are actually an amalgamatory company.

They're pretty much anyone who wants to rebrand a rifle and exist in limbo so to speak.

You could be buying a WELL, JG, CYMA or BE.

JG and CYMA brand their own G36s within the UK so I'm going to assume it's the BE, and if so, steer clear.

I might be wrong, but there's actionhobbies who sell the JG and CYMA under the definite brands of either CYMA or JG, and so I'd buy from them because even if I am wrong, at least you'd know what you were getting.

If you're getting a G36 and don't want EBB, then the JG is certainly a nice bet for something a bit cheaper than the TM.

Not a clue, I've never seen a G36 with that rail set up and silencer before.

How come you're on European websites? There's easily enough choice within the UK to need to look elsewhere. Plus there'll be no annoying faff with customs if you aren't importing, either.

Hi, Just going to clear a few things up here (Since I speak chinese :P)

1) Jing Gong is Golden Bow - "Jing Gong" or "金弓" literally means "Gold Bow"

2) JG are great for THE PRICE. However, If you have a high budget; go TM (Tokyo Marui), you can't go wrong at all. Anything from M4s to P90s etc.

3) Regarding your latest question: you should be fine, since according to Wikipedia (please correct me):

"Airsoft guns and pistols are allowed a muzzle velocity below 100 m/s (328 ft/s) i.e. equivalent to a muzzle energy equal or minor to one joule. Under the law, airsoft guns are not classified as firearms, but as toys. You can buy and sell them both from stores and from another private citizen, either domestically or from abroad. Internet purchasing and mail shipping is legal and unrestricted. No license or registration is required. There is no mandatory minimum age to purchase airsoft and/or use it during a regular match. The Italian Ministry of Interior only recommends that their sale be restricted to people over the age of 18 or 14 if accompanied by a parent or legal tutor or if the replica is not particularly realistic or powerful (i.e. low-grade airsoft products)."

- With that concluded from this information, you should be fine with any retailer that does international shipping, HOWEVER

"Red tips must be present on the barrel ends of the airsoft gun when they are imported and sold by a store."

With this law here, your best bet is to order of Evike or some US Based Airsoft Site since they also have this law in place.

4) On-Topic: Capped Budget, go for a taiwanese brand (SRC*, ICS or G&G) or even some chinese brands (JG or even CYMA**)

The Taiwanese Guns can range from £140 (€171) up and Chinese from £100 (€122) ish up.

*Get the latest Generation of Guns from SRC, GEN III - Great Guns, could do with a better Hop

** Their AK's are great!

That's US law, not UK/Italian law. As soon as it enters the UK it is subject to our laws, so if you have no means of defence and are trying to import a RIF, then you won't be able to. I've no idea how it works in Italy, but it is still unlikely to be the same as the US.

In Italy Airsoft firearms are considered toys, unless the muzzle velocity os over 1 joule of energy, around 100 ms, if the velocity is over this amount you need to buy it from a registered seller ( And you must have the tight to bear arms, etc.) Although regarding air rifles as long as you can prove that you bought it from X you are genarally fine, also you must have an adult present at all times if a minor.
