The 'What have you just got for Christmas' Thread
Snakeeyes75 replied to DX115FALCON's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
F*cking Pandora! Bane of ALL men! -
Cool! I thought it must be as the gun works, if a spring was rattling about in the thing then surely something wouldn't be working EDIT: I'm just watching Eagle 6 takedown of the gun, I think it may be the smaller spring inside the main recoil spring. I take it the little one prevents the recoil weight bottoming out on the metal casing?

Hey guys, as the title says! I just bought myself a Marui Scar L CQC. Firstly this thing is the mutts nuts! Can't see myself ever going back to my G&G now. One thing I noticed is that there sounds like there's something maybe loose in the top (Could it just be a bit of movement on the metal recoil block). When you hold the gun with the tip of the barrel pointing up, then turn it so it's pointing at the ground it sounds like a spring or something light is sliding backwards. It's not a loud sound and it doesn't do it from side to side movement. Can anyone check with theirs? It's worth noting that the recoil feels fine, gun shoots fine etc.. just the rattle.
-
Will do! I have to admit, the first guy I spoke too was really up for getting the gear box apart and sorting it out, he reckons it needs a delay plate! The guy I spoke to today mentioned a poorly aligned motor whcih I thought sounds like BS! I'll report back, so far i've been pleased with their service so hopefully it'll be sorted! To sweeten the deal I've also mentioned that if they can sort it out then I'd like them to do a few things to turn it into a DMR so hopefully that'll help.
-
Mate, I've been told everything by everyone! This was the latest "Bright spark" earlier today! I've done another test as LOZART has suggested, when the dryfire occured I stopped, took the mag out and took off the upper receiver, no BB anywhere! They're not getting into the hop chamber.
-
Yeah, will do mate! I get the feeling it's not something like a wobbly hop or poorly fitted motor etc..
-
I spoke to Swindon airsoft earlier in the month, they said that the warranty is fine unless I opened the gearbox, that's why I've hit the wall so to speak with anything that I can do! My next step will be to return it to them so they can hopefully get to the bottom of this! Bare in mind that the gun is still sort of new.
-
I've taken the mag out when it has dry fired and there's been nothing in the hop, Would a delay plate sort that? The gun is only 4/5 months old and has done it pretty much since new. Started off with Blaster .2's then Devil Blaster .2's, also tried Madbull .2's all have the same issue! If you remember back I thought I had a dodgy pot of .23 Blasters, I swapped to .25's and the problem went away until now.

Hey all, Over the last few months I've been posting here in relation to my G&G T4 18 (Gen 3), I've had the same issue come up time and time again and it's still not sorted! It seems to be prone to misfeeds! At first I though it was the mags, then the BB's then the wet. I went to my 3rd Skirmish on Sunday and half the day it was amazing then the other half is was misfeeding and "Dry firing " pretty much 1 in 4 shots. I've had it all stripped down (Except the gearbox as it's still under warranty) and I can't find a damn thing wrong with it! The hop is good, the motor good. It's SO bloody frustrating! I'll be sending it back in the new year for Swindon airsoft to take a look. I know there's another forum member that's has similar problems although when mine works, it works really well! Any final ideas?

Best Gas for GBB Pistol in Cold Weather
Snakeeyes75 replied to Snakeeyes75's topic in General Discussion
Yeah that's what I was thinking! Would a better option be a different (Metal slide) pistol? -
Hi all, Pretty much what the title says, I have a TM PX4 (Plastic Slide), is there a gas I can buy that'd work in the current cold weather? (I've only used Predator 144)
-
Thanks everyone for the replies Sounds like the TM G18 is the way to go! Now that my PX4 is fixed I'm loving the accuracy of the thing so I think i\m probably TM biased, which isn't a bad thing! Lozart, that KWA M93R does look really cool, especially with the forward handgrip and the 3 round "Burst" fire. I'll definately try and give one a go!

TM Glock 18 sounds good
-
Hey all, Christmas is coming and I thought I'd add a new beasty to my Gun rack. I'm after a Full Auto/Semi Auto Pistol. I have no preference other than it be a quality piece. I have a TM PX4 that (Now it's repaired) and that is superb, I just like the idea of being able to scare everyone with a Full Auto pistol Cheers in advance
-
Mate I know where you're coming from but even trading standards have told me that if you" Remove screws to take the item apart" that's warranty void! I had a couple of issues with my TM PX4 (deformed hop adjuster plate) and had to get "Schooled up" on were I stood! Many companies will write the item off if you've removes a slide, taken an inner barrel out etc..
-
Firstly, thanks for your thoughtful reply. I do have a spare 8.4v battery so I'll give that a go. I have to admit though I'm a little confused by the 7.4 Lipo, being a possible cure. I thought that Lipo's have a much better "Burst" rate than a standard battery hence the lower voltage. Would this not increase the problem? Unfortunately I've pulled the gun apart enough to void any warranty so I'll probably be taking it to my local dealer (Combat South) if I can't sort the issue out. I was thinking about converting it into a DMR so Whilst they have the gearbox open they might as well upgrade the spring! Where do I get a Delay plate? I'm still new to this so sourcing stuff is like a big void for me
-
Ok, so firstly the gun is a Gen 3 with a MOSFET, I understand where you're coming from so I tried using the original Hi-cap that came with the gun, same issue. Power wise there was no change (When I first got the gun I tried using the G&G mags and they were awful, mainly due to a poor fit and the power would be all over the place.) Since using the MAG brand mag I've had zero issues till now. I'm using a 9.6v NiMh Yes, when I clip a mag in then take it out about 3/4 BB's fall out. Although there's a bit of wiggle on the Mag.
-
Hmm, Well the Mags I'm using are MAG brand mags, they've been faultless for the first 6000 BB's. When I say "Dry firing" I mean it's sounding like firing the gun with no BB in the chamber. Then sometimes 2 Bb's roll out so maybe they're getting jammed? Yes, the barrel has been been cleaned out so It's not that. One thing I noticed is that the nozzle doesn't always end it's cycle in the "Open" position, is that an issue?
-
Afrais to say that the problem seems to be continuing! I put over 1000 BB's through the gun without issue then it started dry firing again! After getting Basil Faulty batsh*t crazy with it I tool the barrel off to see if there was anything obviously wrong, NOTHING. Put it back together and it worked fine for a while anf then it started again! I'm stumped!! Could there be a missing gear tooth?? I was considering converting it to a DMR next year, atleast the Gearbox would be pulled apart!
-
It will be! I'm playing on the 14th and that'll be my 3rd game. (I play once a month).
-
I'll certainly give it a go! I have the excuse that I'd like to get a gun just after new year (My B'days on the 2nd Jan)
-
Ok cool. From what I've heard though it can take a whike for the organiser to get on with it though! I just wondered if it's quicker to do it myself?
