  1. If you like the look but are gonna get it 2-toned or stuff then consider a CM18 MOD1 then - black/brown or brown/black then ??? http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/advanced_search_result.php?x=0&y=0&keywords=cm18
  2. It is very difficult to say and like Baz JJ said about people owning one or other until you have owned or used for a while - not just fired a few shots from both it will be difficult to say plus other factors like getting the odd lemon here n there whilst everybody else's is perfect As far as I know G&P don't do such an extensive range off the shelf and certainly not at the low end like G&G do for their CM budget range - so unless people have owned or are really comparing say Top Tech or the middle G&G range of guns against G&P it is a tad unfair to say this or that is better I mean £100 G&G is not or should not be built to same spec as their £250+ line of guns yes I know it is obvious but think that should be remembered as G&P are step up from say cheapo Raider/Carbine - like a lower end 1.1L car to the 1.4GTX version of same car ffs G&P from I have seen have some nice looking stuff on them, attention to detail like that would to me and what the fvck do I know, but I would like to think: that much detail also goes inside to make a higher quality gun than my cheapo G&G Better had or I'd want my money back - I would be considering G&P a bit more if I already had G&G Yeah could look at Top Tech G&G but I would probably like to try another good make to compare etc...
  3. Suppose if my £1,000 gun goes tits up on me then I would have to switch to my £750 pistol then jeez - can never see me spending much more than half that on just one gun myself unless I win lottery - maybe PolarStar but I'll bet some Arab Prince kid has a 20k bling'd out mofo gun as well as his own SWAT team of bodygaurds with REAL firearms on them follwing him around (yeah not wise to light that kid up if he ain't taking his hits me thinks) soz to derail thread & pi$$ off anybody
  4. There are horror stories from all places but think I/many others have been mugged more by JBBG. do reckon OnlyBBGuns are still "slightly" better than JBBG but like all places you gotta stay on top of them and certainly watch what you buy.... Even had a bad experience from LWA - but then I buy too much I guess so I will get more hassle I guess
  5. realistically looking at figures it is only the fire rate that is the odd factor life = constant 9.6v varies but odd reason possible 200 shots per min difference 3 or 3.5 a sec more perhaps - hmmmmm think check again in a few weeks coz looks like run in and all that to me will maybe produce less qwirky results or FUCTIFNO
  6. The answer is: FUCTIFINO Now - what's the question again ???? really couldn't tell you a 101% logical answer just more possible stabs at guess-work might be run in so to speak - life being more consistent volt/amps, the 9.6v subject to more variation in more cells - 8 x 1.2v as oppossed to 3 x 3.3v FUCTIFINO - is the only real answer I guess in this case
  7. It has all been done before - so much been there seen it done that etc.... all games are "like so&so but set in future/60's".... Very very few fresh new ideas and coz of that you will always get people saying its brill/crap coz everone likes/hates different things - like marmite if you are new to gaming any game can seem like the dogs nutz, but after a "number" of years it dawns on ya there isn't a lot of hope for anything new to totally wow you so much - most stuff is same old same old just with better higher res graphics really - but if they didn't pump out more new crap then it would get boring playing 3 or 4 yr old games all time and more to point they wouldn't making more money on repackaged crap every year...... COD FIFA etc... but in effect same $hit different day/year for all gaming mugs out there
  8. both guns been used and "run in" so to speak really odd stuff why so much unexplained variation though
  9. They are not quite Asda/Tesco's and to be fair you are lucky they have matched or slightly reduced price they like numerous places including the 3 or 4 major supermarket wars will always have stuff low/higher than others Sometimes if you go into a place face to face - and be a real pain rather than a virtual online customer the place has to ring/check the other place AND HAS IT STOCK is a common sense rule of thumb too. I still not heard back from OnlyBBGuns - they price match - they did contact me via email 4 days ago and asked a bit more info but not got anything back since about price match and crap
  10. is weird but my first guess is gonna be down to the motor/type in each gun also does any have a mosfet in them that "may" or may not stabilise any voltage or maybe different spring in each setup - one motor/battery maydemand more torque and the 9.6v varies drastically when coming off charge - often will be perhaps near 11v the LiFe I found not so high but very soon settles to 9.9v and stays there feck knows - I just pull the trigger main factor which one will run out of charge first and leave ya in the $hit out on field I guess will check though when there is an Open University module on BBC2 @ 3:45am one morning about advanced electro mechanical physics in airsoft engineering and the guy in a terrible shirt & tie coz programme was made in 1972
  11. normal iron sights work fine if they are zero'd and set correctly if your local cqb allows then plonk a laser underneath or side of rails but many sites are not so keen as there is no way to measure the intensity and most would allow red not green lasers good for hip fire, but they see you coming up stairs/corridor bit like torches in tunnel skirmish - but htf do ya find ya way sometimes seriously - a good set of stock sights is fine for most setup's/sites no point having a shut the hell up scope if badly set or you can't shoot straight and if you can see the enemy in your sights - don't mean you can hit them if out of range or badly setup - yeah go for nice scope if ya gun is really sweetly tuned or you doing DMR but c'mon - you probably shooting at like 100ft to 150ft at enemy if you can't get your aiming correctly on iron's at that range then you best get contacts
  12. totally agree with perhaps cheap gas pistols & buy say 2 if mags are to source now the other option: https://jdairsoft.net/asg-cz-p-09-duty-inc-case but though this baby gives you the option to run with powerful CO2 mags AND GreenGas mags each holds about 25 - well say 23 capacity in case you bust trying to get last 1 or 2 in there but mags are about £30 and gun £100 so though it is a good idea and great option it ain't cheap but an option all the same on this very nice blowback - feckin fast action blowback on CO2 mags now if HFC/SRC/STTI did stuff like this on there M1911 - 105's (non blow-back pistols) then that would be dog's dangley bits ain't got a HFC GG-105 green gas version to compare mags - but just wondering how much stuff manufacture's change on different versions - I mean less bespoke parts = less manufacturing costs ahh great - now I'm think about buying all the similar looking cheapo pistols just to see (nah not this month - card & paypal has been hammered already)
  13. http://www.taiwangun.com/en/g-5-galaxy?from=listing&campaign-id=19 or http://www.taiwangun.com/en/cm-041pdw-cm?from=listing&campaign-id=19 £200 could nearly buy 2 x cyma's if you can wait a bit or if bad ass akimbo mp5 wielding on a budget: 2 of these http://www.taiwangun.com/en/g-5k-galaxy?from=listing&campaign-id=19 try to avoid the other version with RIS http://www.rydair.co.uk/galaxy-g5m-replica-mp5k-aeg-airsoft-gun.html jeez wot a bollock-ache to keep having to unbolt the plastic cover - about 6 screws each time you change battery
  14. Wow - no BLOD PS4's, or that new error code where PS4 owners can't connect to PSN as for severe overheating problems - lol they are BOTH using AMD's and AMD's are always running hotter than say Intel's are in PC how long have you worked for Sony ??? Yes Microsoft have LOADS of RROD on 360 and first Xbone's did have the rattley drive problem BUT Sony customer supports sucks and has only got worse after PS3 and the arrival of PS4 Kept trying to pass the butt on my 2nd BLOD - finally relenting and saying send it back and maybe in about 2 weeks we will get a replacement out to you - wtf ??? Sorry Sony but if that is best you can do when it is Easter Hols then forget it, took back to shop (American owned by Walmart) - got refund there n then no fuss So up your Sony - yanks customer service is better than your so that was why I thought wtf lets buy an American console again as at least they do "seem" to value their customers Guess what - it still works !!! And as for last batch of PS3's - why did they put in a thinner GPU die on 2103, 2503, 3003 and I won't even go into super slim's - but the thinner die GPU or RSX results in them running hotter than CPU's - Sony due you wanna replace some dead RSX boards I have to hand, good marketing just about 18months on the poor RSX just fails resulting in GLOD but hey the poor owner has got all their games to play - guess they gotta buy another modern cost cut PS3 then And yes I got a few RROD 360's too - especially the pre-jasper models - deffo 360's were miles worse than ps3's even the phatty CECHG's had a better track record than non-hdmi 360's but last lot of slims - oh yeah great idea to suffocate the poor thing in a case with les than 5mm or room over the cooling fan - yeah slim's run cooler but you suffocated them much more than phatt's and on the thinner RSX models - that was the chip that dies causing GLOD instead of YLOD on phats coz your cooling fan control systems waits too long before the fan kicks up a gear so it runs too warm for too long all for the sake of it sounding more quiet - the chips are starting to warm up in there At least the Xbox One has a bigger case - yes is pig ugly resemmbles an old VCR many say but vents are everywhere - so it does suprise me that 40% are overheating when MS - yes I dislike MS probably more than next guy, when Microsoft "seem" to have learned by their mistakes on the previous xbox 360 loved the original xbox though - deserved much more credit & success than it got - much like the brilliant groundbreaking Dreamcast that helped develop online gaming - thanks to Microsoft - damn you Bill Gates Modern day consoles do share one thing - they keep running hotter n hotter as the specs get higher n higher Think they both have got issues - coz they both trying to pump out so much more and thus failures will occur hopefully in next 1 or 2 years a newer revision will arrive with "some" bugs & issues resolved or at least reduced I will still get a PS4 - but will wait for newer revised model coz I have had bad luck/experience myself with them so far Finally - soz If I'm getting the steps to get on my high horse again but in MY experience and yes it could be $hit luck I am not a big fan of the PS4's build/reliabilty atm - and have said think both next gen have their issues. Had had most consoles apart and I know the pro/cons and flaws with certain models and now just stick to ps3's as I am more happy with them and don't need so much updating etc to run latest stuff on cfw etc...... soz again if I came over a bit stroppy, guess I am just very very unlucky but will wait for now
  15. plenty of people bought Xbox One Titanfall bundle - inc me at least it hasn't BLOD on me like 2 x PS4's - yes twice so got refund and Xbone instead £320 - had change left over from £399 KillZone PS4 - up yours Sony until you sort out reliability issues n stuff. was a limited special on shoptonet via ebay first week of game launch - couldn't resist
  16. I'd say hold off on the sling just yet, ain't as if you carrying a M249 with ya you say cqb and the plastic/abs raider - hardly gonna kill ya too much even if all day and cqb most of time it will be out ready checking corners etc..... have a look at what other players have with their AEG's, great icebreaker to get chatting about nice gun/sling........ you got mounts on end of RIS & at end receiver/crane stock if you look carefully you can add another sling mount on stock near butt if you want to but you could end spending £15 or so on a sling that is not comfortable or ideal get a quick detach one as almost any sling my restrict quick peeking left with you shooting from left hand side to limit you exposing yourself - snigger naked airsoft - be ok if more ladies joined in I guess hold up on sling perhaps n check what everybody else is using and get their feedback on them
  17. Hmmm.... can't decide which one the 3 I'd like most
  18. nah - if he wants to spend a bit more on gun with a little more ooomppphhhhh: http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?products_id=4839 or if that is too much: http://polarstarairsoft.com/products/complete-rifles.html but many think either has a "slight" unfair advantage, some sites don't like either on regular skirmish days and understand as these are way beyond the lame a$$ traditional AEG's but hey if money (& bb's) are no object fill both ya boots and go absolutely nutz just lmk where you are going to skirmish so I can avoid
  19. G&G Raider - short version rather than slightly longer version..... if ya worried about a gun being too big or seems like you going cqb then short raider is a good all round choice I would say than a longer M4 or M16 could consider other makes - some mp5's even a couple of AK's have folding stocks but most G36's have folding stocks for cqb work. A good adjustable sling would be handy, but choice of gun is down to buyer if you really are still unsure then maybe you & m8 hire 2 types - maybe M4 & G36 are popular hire guns at sites, then chat to others there to get conversation going..... you worry too much unless you was thinking of get a full metal M249 with metal box mag or a £3,000 chain gun with even heavier battery dragging round yeah like to see that get round tight corners - ergh no I wouldn't be hanging around much in case they do manage to get upsairs n round corners
  20. don't take the game too serious - it is just that a game very likely you will go negative K/D - big deal, I'd rather go neg & have fun than go pos & be unhappy coz 1 guy never took his hit or 8itch about unfair decision or lost round - ffs it is just a game of pretend soldiers really call your hits - if people don't play fair or at least try to play fair the whole thing falls apart, somtimes rebounds or ricochets can count as hits - so ensure you listen to the briefing in the morning from main marshals. Also pay attention when they explain rules/objectives of each game often things change eg: this round you can use full auto but only if xx ft from enemy - you miss this and you get bollocked or get owned coz you was still on semi when you could of been on auto etc..... so listen to marshals - and ya team too safety - do take seriously - your own & other players safety is paramount unless you can afford to lose teeth/eye etc.... cqb is very different to woodland and they know you are coming so will be dug in expect to get shot a number of times as you/team try to breach - check corners taking nothing for granted - when you look - peek quickly with as little possible exposed - watch the reg/pro's - talk to them, and listen to them..... above all have fun & stay safe, don't get stressed - even if some bell end winds you up, it is just a GAME so enjoy yourself
  21. rent = 3 x £20+ hire = £60 - ok you got bb's battery to add on if buy your own but you get idea and you gotta get battery n charger anyway but even a clear carbine @ £100 - that £60 is halfway aprox and if you go say 3 more times to rent = £60 again keep clear carbine as backup - buy ya top-tech with UKARA what have ya lost well you figure but all the same up to you - me said enough - I'm done
  22. Plainly put this way about plastic Raiders: They sell out very very very quickly @ £130ish not coz they are crap and break very easily but - well it is up to you if you want to spend £100 more on metal or a bigger top-tech version if it is your first gun - you will probably love it but you may decide to go sniping or just quit coz it ain't for you plus 2 tone raider whilst trying for UKARA then upgrade/trade in ah well it is up to you
  23. the seals normally go on gas/co2 mags green gas may not like real cold - co2 not quite so fussy I went for the CO2 hfc gc105 i think but is too powerful for sites 350fps limit as it fires like most co2 at 400+ new co2 bulb and she hits 440 and slowly depletes to zilch after say 100bb's thought they would be better than green gas to quickly change or refill in battle drop in another bulb when required between rounds/games rather than mess with refilling GG mags BUT yet again I screwed up - too powerful like I said - most CO2's can't be used as they just too powerful - often most sites don't allow coz even lowered power they are a bit varied on fps output from old to fresh bulb - bummer have tried to look at ways to lower fps by filing hammer down to not strike valve so much resulting in a reduced burst of CO2 - it lowers fps but not enough atm and if going too mad I can end with a pi$$ poor fps of say 150fps - but hey at least I didn't buy a £100 co2 and extra mag n stuff only to find out I can't use Green Gas pistols stay between 300 - 350 and are allowed no problem at sites some say GG can be a tiny bit more prone to valve problems than co2 and then there are cyma electric pistols that will never have valve problems coz the electric but cyma - glock is best model btw, only punch at about 200fps - but have auto which means hold trigger for say 10 shots per sec if ya want Not devastating electric power pistols, not flawless gas/co2 pistols either they all have their slight flaws and advantages over each other, as well as may only be used in skirmishes now n then - or a bit more often in cqb so yeah - the pistol area is a bit more of a minefield in deciding type and how much to spend I guess - yes some pistols are awesome but can be £150 even - jeez cheaper ones will be likely to break especially if you don't take care of them, spares can be a problem and mags can be hard to source for some too you gotta decide and take your chances Green Gas - can use propane but gotta buy this in bulk to save money and get all adapters n crap - so you can save a bit in running costs but you gotta spend a bit first, co2 bulbs they add up but more you buy the cheaper they get say 50 or 100 can be under 40p or less. Electric Cyma's - batteries are titchy so don't last long before you need to change/charge as well think that just about covers all types - what & how much is down to you in the end
  24. if you get the HFC's from onlybbguns try RC10 and you might get 10% off so the 2 HFC's will be £27 delivered yes they are low end guns and in general not ultra wise to buy from these BB site's But - ANY gas pistol "can" fail at some point lets be honest, the valves can leak etc... so see if you can locate spare mags - handy if you actually want another mag or if you can source parts for valve/mag - not always that straight forward....... You could consider buying 2 cheapy gas pistols like I have done, any gas pistol can break and YES they are not the top end ones but you ain't spending 3 or 4 times or more money on a pistol - and if you did then you a fvcked or heavily committed getting it fixed or you £100+ super duper blowback mofo pistol is just sitting there for display I am not having a dig at the high end pistols - far from it guys but these cheap n cheerful pistols at least kinda fire at some decent rate rather than crappy AEG's that offer only pi$$ poor performance before they break next week - if they last that long...... So you "could" consider 2 x HFC's for say £54 - or a pistol with 2 mags + other pistol for parts/painting - dodgy area - but you kinda get what I mean..... The Crossman @ £40 is plus postage or add £20 for free shipping can you buy a spare mag for it - if so then it might be worth it as £60 is free shipping try "horse" for 5% discount but gotta spens £60 for free shipping at bbguns4less onlybbguns do free shipping on all crap up to you though in the end
  25. Raider has RIS and comes in short or long version and crane stock - bat at rear (don't worry about blow back option if ya wanna keep it simple) Carbine has front handguard - bat at front inside 2 piece handguard http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?cPath=268&products_id=6076&osCsid=6975cb52754d2e8ca90f1c7b0fa2f527 http://www.proairsoftsupplies.co.uk/acatalog/cm16_carbine_transparent.html if you want to use other bigger size batteries then you could fit a fixed stock on the Raider and chuck in almost any size battery from ya cars.... I'm not sure if really big batteries would fit in a smaller "stubby" fixed stock but a full sized fixed stock should fit in almost any size battery you may have and still room for mars bar or two http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/21431-solid-stock-for-m16a4/#entry149688
