Well, she now has the 13:1 gears and active braking mosfet in and shimmed properly, wired to deans, and after a lot of pissing about I'm finally happy with her.
The sound of the vid sounds nothing like the gun, the gearbox is quiet and the pop from the soundhog is nice,crisp and loud.
Hmm also stuck a sniper style M4 grip on there too, all I'm waiting for is the stubby stock which I hope is here soon as I won't get the buffer tube back on without desoldering the mosfet and I doubt I'd be able to cram all that crap in the crane stock.

Yeah I thought it was good, obviously with the 2 for 1 offer (which seems to be on most of the time) it depends which glasses you buy as you pay for the most expensive. My glasses cost around £80 (so assuming half that is for second pair - ie prescription inserts = £40 if you see what I mean)If you go for their cheapest glasses then it would possibly cost less. Not sure what cost would be if you just wanted prescription lenses doing not on a 2 for 1 offer though.

Has anyone had any prescription inserts cut for the Bolle Tracker II or any inserts at all?
I was wondering how much Specsavers charge for the lenses being cut.

I was thinking the same thing Ian so I canceled the high-speed motor for now, my gears arrived this morning, but I aren't gonna start shimming it until I have the mosfet (Airfet - active braking) installed.. I hope its here tomorrow so I can get started.
I'll stick to the standard motor and see what happens, its a noisy motor but then again its a noisy gun with the Sound Hog.

Bastards, I'm gonna write to G&G and complain.
Well I have new SHS metal tooth piston, piston barings, alloy nozzle with seal and cylinder nozzle with 2 seals to stick in there when I open her up to sort the mosfet.
I will re-shim it and possibly change the motor, if its still not up to par then I'll change the gears too. The SHS shit was for an M4 project but I might aswell use it in the FH and stick the FH stock crap in the TROY M4.
I must say I'm really pissed off with G&G, I watched a thousand vids and reviews before ordering her, all with fantastic reviews and the ROF was insane.. its SHITE on the stock one I have now, I want it firing like a laser beam!
And the annoying thing is, I can't open her up until the mosfet arrives as I have a game on sunday and want to use it, I aren't gonna open it just to put the nozzles in when its running at 330fps already.

deffo higher end motor - might have put in TT box too but
am sure they tweaked it a bit on first batch to make sure she would sell well
 
they was talking about an even high ROF model coming out end of year
but if G&G have started to pull this lower rate crap on subsequent batches
then I think I won't be tempted to get another
(may as well tweak my one a bit - once i get the hang of it a bit more)

MB-06 with 4x32 ACOG syle with Red Dot.
Upgraded spring, spring guide and piston, she kicks out 514fps avarage with 0.2's.

Light, maneuverable and f*****g ugly, but I love it. New tactical stock with cheek rest is in the post, she's gonna be my prime mid to long range sniper.
 

 

 

Here's a little DIY on my DE M56A.

Firstly, there was no top rail for optics, so I had to remedy that my filing down the rear sight so I had some purchase to put a slightly longer screw in as theres no play at all on the upper receiver.
A little keying and some epoxy, 1 very short screw and a slightly longer one into the rear sight.
 


Second, I added the cartridge holder.. being a cheap b*****d I bought some 20mm pipe clips for a quid and with my trusty epoxy, a little sawing and some short screws.. voila, a shotgun cartridge holder. (Note the foregrip isn't attached yet)
 

 
Third, this was a stroke of luck, a friend of mine asked me to order him a M56DL, it arrived damaged (snapped at the stock), so I was issued a refund, the driver inspected it and let me keep the bits.
So I now have a new stock, I had to saw down the inner plastic retainer tube and sand it flush to the inner handle so the buffer tube sat perfect and held it in place tight.
 

 


The next mod will be to add the lower rail for the angled foregrip (pictured above), I'm just waiting for my very cheap alloy weaver rail to arrive from China.
The torches at the front will be removed when the right clamp arrives from China.. good old China.. and their month waiting times.
At the end of the day, I wanted a Short shotgun with a stock, and that's what I've got, I'm chuffed with it and I'll be using it tomorrow (15/12/13) for the first time.. It's a good job I have 20+ cartridges, they don't last long in tri-shots.
 
I've repaired the M56DL with the old rifle style stock, its very long now, I'm gonna mod the sh*t out of it when I acquire some more bits and bobs.
I might rough it up and go for the vintage look.. who knows.

Not easy when 3 of that group of douchebags have fully tuned Systemas and the rest have G&P rifles.
And when the marshals turn a blind eye when they cheat because they're some of the most reliable customers to the site.

They may be a pain in the arse, but at least it's getting people into airsofting....
