Would a 5.45 x 39 do more damage than a 5.56 x 45? 5.45 was designed to linger inside the enemy to upset them more, especially if it's a cyanide bullet. But 5.56 goes clean through but that means destroying things in the process.

Lol, I've read a few things here and there that say the Russian cartridge is generally deemed the more deadly of the two because it fragments inside the body and doesn't pass through.
It's got a nickname like "Poison dart" or something weird but I can never remember what it is.
