    OH MY f*cking GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THERE IS A FUDGING RAT IN OUR HOUSE! LUCKILY MY MUM KILLED IT WITH A SAUCEPAN. IT WAS THE SIZE OF MY HAND. ANY HELP ON TRACING WHERE THEY CAME FROM?

      Yep, watch your fingers. There are 2 sizes at least, the mice one wont work very well for the average rat. And check them frequently!

      Mice are a couple of inches long but can stretch themselves out to 2-3 times that when climbing out of a crack to scare the hell out of you. Rats are much bigger.

      Mice are cleaner and will not leave a smear. Leave a wine cork in the middle of the kitchen floor to track mice. They will not resist taking it and nibbling it wherever they go. In the morning just track the trail of cork bits. Also drinking a bottle of wine will help you sleep without fear :D
