Angry for several reasons: 1)A friend isn't talking to me. I don't know if it's because a) she's busy (med student in London), her interwebz is knackered (she's in student accomodation in London...), c)left her facebook/etc logged in when she's busy (done it before) or d) - just ignoring me and doesn't want to talk to me. I wouldn't mind, I'd just like an explanation as to why sometimes its impossible to contact her for days at a time... 2)The department screwed up with the timetable, I my holiday is ending earlier than they had previously suggested. They changed the dates, putting an extra week in - and didn't tell us until 4 days ago. Merry Christmas, KCL style... ¬_¬ 3)My internal body clock is broken. I've been awake for 2 and a half days running.

X12 optic on the HK53. In one of the most CQB intense maps of the entire game. Lolz were most definitely had. By the people killing me, whilst I frantically tried to find them... L85, ELCAN and bipod. Or grip. Dear lord, that gun is so much fun. Also, I think I managed to get my funniest kill today, of any FPS. Flying around in the Frogfoot on Caspian Boarder, kept shooting down the A10 and the scout chopper - but I couldn't quite work out why afterI'd shot them down, I kept getting the 'missile lock' warning. Until one kill. A10 pilot bails before I can finish him off, so I just ignore him. After going tank hunting, I hear the lock-on tone - but there aren't any jets or helos in the air - but I can see a parachute. Sneaky git was trying to stinger me from a parachute. Out of panic, I flew right at him, cannons blazing. I missed with every round. But my nose-cone and radar array didn't. Roadkill. At 3K feet, at mach 1. Dear God I love this game.

The other thing is, even if we make sure our match making settings are the same, we rarely have the same servers listed/ For example, last night, we both set ours to: 20+, Rush only, Operation Metro, EA servers, Europe - I had 3 pages of servers, my friend only had 6 servers. He said he'd download B2K today, so hopefully that should solve that. If not...

Anyone (still) having problems getting into games on XBL with friends? (XBL tag - Huberticus) I have no problem getting into games. Neither does my mate Tim - but if we try to get into a game together, it fails. Always says that the game is no-longer available, or a similar message - even when we've just created a co-op game...[/i] I do know from another XBL game that my "NAT is set to closed rather than open", but I've no idea what that is, or how to change it. Other than that - I love the L85. So, so much.

Actually Dev, no pies for me. Since moving to London, I've been walking everywhere. And I've lost 2.5 stone in my time here. And Finius... I'm not married, nor do I drink Stella...

Flat 19's Christmas Dinner went well Well, almost, but I was damn impressed by it. Organised chaos would be putting it mildly... Only 1 argument, and, well, the guy isn't actually from our flat... My friend loved the gift I got her for the secret Santa thing, means my trip to the Disney Store wasn't a complete waste of time (And I shall never return!) And I'm going home to Yorkshire tomorrow, where I shall be reunited with my beloved airsoft stuff

SBS Rusty, where do you normally play? I'm pretty convinced that I've seen you in game before... Anyway, love the loadouts. Cracking gear there mate. And Liam... just... Errr... Good luck.

Lets put it this way - It was fine OOB. Had I spent £150-200 on modifications and installation, it would probably be fine. As it was, I didn't and it isn't. My carbine - entire stock - is so far - fine. And I have no intentions of changing it. OOB, ICS SA80s are fine. If, IF, you spend lots of money and time, you can make your ICS SA80 perfect (ask Finus) Would I get the M4? I have no idea.
-
Errr... in my case, superstition - after I sang my praises for my LSW in this topic, my LSW decided to start buggering up - I shouldn't have modified it. It's something I truly regret, and wish I'd never done it. It's currently sat in it's box at home, hopefully awaiting the day that I can finally afford to post it away to have a full overhaul and restore her to her former glory. Guys - if you have a gun that works flawlessly out of the box DON'T TOUCH IT. OOB, the LSW is fine. So whilst I love my ICS L85 Carbine, there's no way in hell I'm going to post a review, lest that jinx my carbine... Anyway - The carbine was designed in 2010, and my model was made at some point between March 2010 and Jan 2011. From what I've seen, internally it's exactly the same as the L85 and LSW. I've no idea about the ICS M4, I've never used one. Anything I say would be hear-say - that said, they seem mine. One of my uni-mates has one, and it's worked fine for 3 years now.
-
Would kind of remove the point in having the carbine... I'm considering bolting a grip-pod onto the handguard, but as it is, I think it's fine. As for the magazines CraigW-H, mine don't. Or at least, it didn't move when I tried

Loving that c8 man Got back home this weekend for a quick skirmish - updated my carbine. I love E-Mags so much Sadly the 552 is practically useless on this, can barely aim down it. Me thinks a pretty ACOG on lever-mount should be on order...

Oh no, I knew they were in, I just didn't think they'd show them yet. I just wanted to know if anyone else saw it, and it wasn't just me seeing things.

Guess at what I've just spotted in the Back to Karkand DLC trailer ! Pause it at 0.37. Have it on the highest HD setting possible. 0.35-0.37 is an XM8 LMG, then the view switches forwards to another player with - L85. Christ, I feel like a train spotter, only for SA80s in computer games...

My copy arrived on tuesday. But I don't get to play on it until November 19th, when I go home I've been informed by my mates who are able to play it that unless 4 guys are playing anti-aircraft, fighters are "damn near impossible to take out"...
-
My copy of BF3 arrived early yesterday... 200 miles back 'Oop North. The plus being that the 360 in our flat is broken anyway...

Errr... despite the fact I've been living here for 7 weeks now, I don't know much about the geography of the city. It's at Elephant & Caste. I think the NAM is the one in Chelsea

Found at least 2 airsofters in my War Studies set. Not enough to start a society, but it's a start! Also, the parents came down on the weekend, first time I'd seen them in 6.5 weeks. Went to HMS Belfast with them (never been, both dad and I wanted to go), really enjoyed it (I live down the road from it! ) And the Imperial War Museum on Sunday. Live 40mins on foot away from that. Another great day (Dad and I went when I was 8! over 9 years ago!) And next Wednesday, the department is taking us on a special tour of the National Army Museum, and we get to go and 'play' with the exhibits - over 60% of which are hidden in storage!

The various "Holier than thou' brigades. As of recently, the airsoft variety are really starting to grind my gears. Don't like people using hi-caps? Grow up, shut up and go to a milsim game. If it's not a milsim game, people are well within their rights to use them. Not everyone who uses them sprays like Rambo. Some use them for practica reasons (like not having to constantly go back to the safe-zone to re-arm) or economic reasons - magazines aren't cheap, especially if you find you've just spent £19 on a magazine that doesn't fit/feed in your gun. Midcaps don't equal 'l33tsk1llz'. I've seen plenty of people who spray whilst using mids (and even lows ), using all 20 magazines up in the warm-up game, which lasts 10 minutes... My flatmates. I love 'em, I really do, they're a great bunch of girls (didn't realise my accomodation is predominantly a nursing/medics block, there's me and 1 guy with 7 girls in my flat) but, they've done something that infuriates me. I clean up after myself. If I mes up the kitchen, I clean up right away. I vacuum the hall if needed. I empty the recycling. If I return from a night out and spill drink in the kitchen, I clean it up first thing in the morning. Hell, I've cooked for them a few times. Do they? Not really. On a few occasions I've cleaned the kitchen after they've had a drinking session (Southerners can't handle their drink), or come back smashed. So they've created a rota to make sure everyone does their job. Only, I've now gotten extra stuff to do, stuff I already do... Great...

I'm not really a PC gamer anymore (limited to DoW and other RTSs), but from my friends who are, it seems that the PC community has decided to reject BF3 and say "screw you!" (only in more colourful language) to both EA and DICE. A few retailers are saying they've suddenly seen a fair number of PC pre-orders cancelled. Something to do with EA removing itself from Steam, forcing people to use Origin and now on top of that, something called BattleLog. Apparently Squads are screwed over via BattleLog, and there are one or two other issues with it. That said, MW3 isn't getting any new supporters - it appears that those PC gamers who were hard BF3 supporters just don't want MW3. Anyone got anymore info on this? Like I said, I'm not a PC gamer so it doesn't effect me, just curious to see if you guys have seen/heard anything else about this.

Whoooops! Sorry, that's my selective dyslexia combining with a location from another game I've played recently!

Indeed. Actually decided to pre-order the Karkland pack just because of it tbh. But it leads to an interesting question - what L85A2 will it be, and will there be any modifications? Will it be like the L85A1 of BF2's medic class - basic 1990's L85 w/ SUSAT? (only obviously, A2 not A1) Will it be like Euro Forces L85A2? Ironsights + L17A2 40mm? Will it be a new version, like the current DD-rail, grip-pod, ACOG/ELCAN+ Docter DR RDS? Can you modify it yourself? (add/remove optics/40mm/shotgun/etc) Still, looking forwards to this

Strike at Karkland DLC weaponlist revealed. http://www.egmnow.com/articles/news/battle...-list-revealed/ Boy am I happy *claps hands with childish glee* Oh and the maps look brilliant too. But still. Nice shiny weapons. Pre-order time!

Ahhh Devastator... suffering from a bit of shadenfreude there... Not a frequent member, but believe it's due to an update going wrong or something. *Aaaah, ninja'd. TWICE

That's a really nice M4 .:l2 a tt l e s:. Aside from the stock, that's exactly how I'd have an M4 (in otherwords, the USMC commando M4 from BF2!) Looks both functional, and nice. Nickona, I'm not sure why, but something about your M4 looks a bit 'odd'. It looks good, but there's something (I think it's those funky magazines) that looks different.

Oh noes!!1!!1 I put my LSW in the wash and it shrunk! Damn these dry-clean only support guns! Oh wait... no, it's fine. My LSW appears to have given birth. To a carbine. Looks like I no-longer have to worry about CQB in London - although I will miss the LSW whilst I'm away...
