  1. want to build a load-out around my car-15 commando rifle with a fat arse suppressor (similar to Gary Gordon's rifle in Black hawk down minus the aimpoint), i'm aware they were issued to the SAS in the 80's and 90's.. As far as i'm aware, they were issued pattern 58 or plce webbing, i'd rather use the plce as it will accommodate stanag mags! camo would suppose be c95 dpm, otherwise i'm stuck.. i have an osprey mk2, some desert 95 and mtp bdu's and a mk 6 a helmet with all the camo covers.. but i'm aware the sas weren't keen on helmets.. trying to find some decent pics but can't find anything useful!
  2. where can i get the ghillie netting covers the army are now using with the mk7 helmet???

That's exactly what I did as well lol, tore some old MTP combats and tied them to the elastic loops on the helmet cover.

If you do it enough it looks pretty good.

i know, but semi auto snipers are noisers and not as accurate or consistent i find

    3. AK47frizzle

      AK47frizzle

not as accurate and consistent? Dude, m14s have quite long barrels and you can have very nice tight bores which can be the same as sniper rifles. And they are just as consistent.

I agree with you on noise because they are but have you ever though about gas? The KJW KC02 would make a very nice dmr and is very gas effiecient. http://www.airsoftworld.net/kj-works-kc-02-gas-blowback-tactical-rifle.html and good value.

I went Airsoft Billericay yesterday and they told me they are in the process of building a CQB area. Otherwise you have to travel into London for CQB.

      alwaysontheoffensive

does the same thing, put the mag in empty, no gas and with the we mag if you pull the slide back it locks, doesnt with the marui, maybe the design?

    3. Airsoft-Ed

      Airsoft-Ed

Shape of the BB follower in the mags might be different, it might not be the right size/shape to meet the slide catch.

If not I'm out of ideas.

    4. alwaysontheoffensive

      alwaysontheoffensive

that might be the answer, the catch on the side isnt as high up as the we mag too, so i guess i'll haver to live with firing a blank and racking the slide! thanks guys!

  12. anyone got a brit desert smock for sale? need on cheapo!!!

it is functionally silly and needs to be replaced, and only started to work when h&k revised the design!

    3. Airsoft-Ed

      Airsoft-Ed

Real one is allegedly the most reliable bullpup config rifle in the world. Totally whooped the M16 in testing, went 60k more rounds without a jam. Far more accurate than any other weapon firing the same NATO cartridge, more contact points with the shooter due to the design. Looks badass. What's to not like? You crazy!

    4. TacMaster

      TacMaster

More space between the working parts is the key to firearm reliability. The M16 has bits all jammed up to each other like fat kids in an ice cream shop, no wonder it jammed when I shot one with the US Army cadets.

Only problems I've had with the cadet L85 are the plunger on the gas plug that gets stuck in the gas vent and the recoil spring that flies out of the rifle and hits the Company Commander when you open it up :/

  15. 1911 meu or m9 beretta? choices choices...

I'd go with the 1911 but thats just me mate.

    2. Airsoft-Ed

      Airsoft-Ed

      What about a P226, or a Glock?

I'd go with the M9, I've had an MEU before I don't get on with the control layout. Though an M9 is probably worse, going on the look of it.

    3. kungfumonkey

      kungfumonkey

the tan m9 socom looks ace imo plain back m9's just dont look right to me but i have allways loved the classic looks of the 1911

  16. i hate the snobbery of combat machines.. they are just as good as the full metal equivalent, and great for someone on a budget!

    1. Airsoft-Ed

      Airsoft-Ed

Agreed. I can't understand people disliking guns that are plastic, but no one can knock their performance.

For the price they're absolutely faultless.

    2. alwaysontheoffensive

      alwaysontheoffensive

thanskyou! the polymer body is very strong any, and saves on price and weight, just upgrade the internals if you are not happy with the performance, like i did!

  17. just love my pimped combat machine!!

    1. kungfumonkey

      kungfumonkey

how pimped ? i'm in the process of piming mine :)
