You’ll get more accuracy at 20m+ with heavier BB’s I would have thought.
-
Agreed. I’ve had 4 now and they’re externally the nicest airsoft mp5 I’ve handled, gas efficient and with a barrel and bucking change very accurate
-
.32 is the way to go for me now at that FPS. I use heavier in my mk12 mod0 but that’s 400-450fps depending on site
-
Was hoping for a 416 from the reveal.
-
@GregArm you still need the spring and buffer. You put the spacer in first, then the spring, then the buffer. The spacer pre-compresses the spring for better response
-
Also, there’s no point in putting a light bolt carrier in and then a stupidly heavy buffer as they will cancel each other out. I found the angry gun super recoil buffer (silver one) much too heavy. It gave a good kick, but it was a sluggish kick.

It’s certainly right up there @EvilMonkee my first game is next Sunday and after that, both rifles will be stripped and new bucking/nub combos tried and I’ll do another comparison. I really do like the modify tan and SixG though. Just a shame the modify wears quite quickly.

An angrygun adjustable nozzle, but always start with the barrel so you know how far off you are fps wise
-
Right so that will be a standard 250mm brass barrel in a 14.5” outer barrel. Get yourself a 370mm tight bore and you’ll be pretty much there
-
What Barrel length is in it now, and what is the max barrel length you can have?
-
@Davegolf Nice! Love me a DMR. I might have a barrel laying around somewhere. I’ll let you know.
-
I was just about to break out the scar’s gas plug to measure! Saved me a job 😂
-
You can cook the rails in the oven to change their colour slightly. My mate did it to his mws mk18
-
Heavy in everything. Might cost more but if it takes one shot to hit someone instead of seven, then you’ve not really lost anything. my only complaint with airsoft (Besides those speedy wankers) is a lot of the time I can see an enemy before I can hit them, so every range advantage I can get I’ll take. BB weight also depends on barrel length too. With short barrels heavy is fine, but try getting a decent flight from a .4 and a 500mm barrel. That’s why, even DMRs I try to keep barrel length below 430mm
-
You bought another one so you’re in it 😎
-
That’s not how you get into the cool kids club
-
It’s all bollocks. The only real thing it’s good for is the stigma of people not wanting to play with a 2 tone one. That makes a lot of people rent and play their 3 games and within those 3 games most people have decided if airsoft is for them or not. So you’ve not got loads of RIF’s owned by people who played once (or never).

This^😂

If you’re planning to shorten the barrel I’d start with that. No point getting the FPS where you want it and then chopping the inner barrel in half and having it shoot low. Once you’re happy with barrel length I’d look at the hammer spring as @heroshark suggested. If the gun isn’t a gbb then it doesn’t rely on the excess gas cycling the system so there’s no real disadvantage to a lighter hammer spring. If they don’t make one, I believe you can just shorten the ends of the original very slightly, but I’d wait for someone more knowledgable than me with NBB to confirm that.

Sold it to my mate and regretted it immediately. He takes good care of it though.

The top one is a GR-60 training grenade. By all accounts, they’re so loud you can feel the shockwave even if you’re outside in woodland. Inside it will make you feel sick lol. below is a T12 thermal imager that I’m going to either side mount or is a flip to the side on my mws.
