Is Tokyo Marui Recoil Shock worth the extra money?
Black Death replied to Super64's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
GHK G5s kick quite hard... I shot one 2 weeks ago and one of my crew use one all the time. I'm sure it should be kicking harder than the PTS! Did you fill it with farts or green gas? Or did you just blow into it? -
Is Tokyo Marui Recoil Shock worth the extra money?

I'm not too keen on the ERGs to be honest. But to be fair I do think they are quite good. Perhaps where TM have made the first recoil guns they have become the 'standard' so anything slightly different to it will feel awkward or odd. I remember years ago when I was into mixing on turntables (vinyl records music format for those of you born after 1990 lol) and back then a company called technics (a Gucci subsidery branch of Panasonic) produced a model called '1210s' ( pronounced twelve tens). They were the first direct drive motor driven as apossd to belt drive so they were miles ahead of the competition. Problem was they stayed the industry standard for 15 years despite much better stuff coming out. They only really died out once these modern young DJs came through using CD and MP3 formats instead. Oh those were the days -
Is Tokyo Marui Recoil Shock worth the extra money?
Black Death replied to Super64's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
To this day.... I've never met a man who brought a TM recoil and then reverted back to a non recoil equivelant. The recoil function is a completely new dimension to your gameplay and once you've tried it you will ALWAYS miss it. Seriously if someone tried to swap me a £1200 systema for my £600 recoil I'd honestly laugh in they're face. I'm not knocking system (they are incredible guns) but I will always feel naked with no recoil. Yes gas gives a harder kick but for me I can't be asked with extremely lo cap expensive mags and the maintenance. It's quite simple... If you can afford a recoil... BUY A RECOIL If your cute... Pimp your own ass to afford one. If your ugly... Pump your mother! Just do what it takes! -
Try these quick pouches. The mag literally just slides in and out and holds tight! I've never had a mag fall out. Plus they are much quieter then pulling Velcro open! They look great on a belt if your looking for a lightweight type of loadout. At £12 a pair you will struggle to find anything cheaper. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400615118432 I run these for my scar h (6 pouches/3 pairs £36 is cheap as chips)

Recently invested in radio gear. It had to be done after half my team lost they're voices shouting across the field at a skirmish lol. I got a wireless PTT set which is deffo my most favourite part of the comms setup. its very sleek but best of all because its placed where my left thumb is on the ris so my hand done not leave the gun or even change position when I need to PTT. The slim line earpiece is very comfortable indeed as it has no hard parts but best of all it has no boom mic as its works on sound conduction through your jaw up into your ear. Between the two it looks like you don't even have comms so people kept thinking I was talking to myself last time I used them. bit disappointed with the range on my radio and also the viper pouch which h broke after an hours use. Otherwise super happy with my comms. Just needs a better radio and pouch.

Ok, so heres how my loadout is looking these days. Theres no great change as such but this is a pic or two with it all together so you can see how it all ties in. The tshirt is interchangeable as far as the loadout is concerned. I have about 8 black/red tshirts which I pick up as cheap as poss from ebay ort primark under a tenner. This one in the pic is one of my favs as its the HYDRA insignia (captain America villain organisation). I like playing the bad guy so couldn't resist buying this when I saw it.

Whats the worst experience with 'Cod Softers'
Black Death replied to Lord_Metile's topic in General Discussion
Personally, I ain't got no issues with codsofters at all. Ok so they're weapons look aweful and sometimes they don't really know the rules BUT we all started somewhere. That aside a lot of the time I admire they're attitude. They have that raw niavity which guarantees that they will enjoy they're day no matter what. A lot of the time where I play it's them who do a lot of the running around and break up any stalemates. On the subject of running, on average they are a lot lot fitter than most of us and this is they're greatest advantage. While we are sat at desks Monday to Friday, these guys play football in the school playground. They also weigh up to 3 times less than us and have not had 2 decades worth of fry up/cigarettes/Booz. The end result is most of them can run the pants off us. Call me a fool but surely a kid with a rental is more deadly than a fat bastard with a systema??? Last year my team picked up 4th of 12 teams at the annual billericay woodland competition. My team were absolutely nakered by the end few games but the kids were running around like we had just started. They actually won the entire tournament with an average age of about 11-12. I'd be worried if these guys started taking it seriously as the rest of us would struggle to keep up with these light feet fairies lol Hope more of em join the game overall :-) -
Woah.... This thread needs a serious update Latest thing I've gotten is a genuine oakley carabiner in red to go only oshiboom. It's a lot easier to pull the pin (especially when using gloves or when in a hurry) and you are a lot less likely to lose the pin this way also. A lot more to come update wise when I get a chance

This is am awkward subject... It's like asking what's the best way to get hit in the nuts There is no right answer... Any option is not good

A lot of out of stock across the UK
Black Death replied to BrightCandle's topic in General Discussion
Anything remote model or controlled/powered is HUGE hobby wise. I work for a high end home security company and see some very nice homes. I've seen some older chaps use dedicated rooms as big as my lounge to house they're train sets and throw £40k at it doing so. And to think we thought WE squandered money on our hobbies lol I've been involved in several hobbies over the years (inc cars, motorbikes, bodybuilding, comics, film, trainers) and although I haven't been involved in airsoft that long I can see it has massive potential to GROW but a lot of things need to change first. Yes as the scene grows it will attract more dkheads but there will be plenty of positives to -

Trust me 8500 on this forum sounds big but in the grand scheme of things that's minuscule. Take hobbies like fishing, gym, custom cars and bicycles, caravans and camping.... I can guarantee you my months wage that if you round up 100 random people there will be some from each of the above but I'd be surprised to see an airsofter. Even then go to whsmiths and look at the mag section.... You will see two mags for airsoft but 24 for cars, 16 for gym (inc womens). The best example of just how small airsoft is is against the computer games market! For every RIF we buy there are 1000 times more consoles sold even though they are around the same price Now you might appreciate how small airsoft actually is. When you are involved in airsoft and everything around you is dominated by it it feel big but in reality it's tiny (but growing well). I'm not saying this is an excuse for retailers to do what they do but overall it's something the market at this size will suffer from -

This is a very very frustrating problem but it doesn't just happen in airsoft. It happens in most small/custom markets. The bigger the market the more something becomes avaliable. I once was looking for a custom part once in another unrelated hobby which was shown in stock on over 15 websites yet when I actually spoke to the manufacturer in person he said only 2 of these items had left the factory!!! Clearly a lot of suppliers were happy to bullshine I appreciate retailers want to show they 'can' get something in rather then not list it at all but the simple remedy to this is to just be honest and show the approximate delivery time. Customers really appreciate honesty from retailers. A lot of the time we have to save up anyways so the wait won't kill us to be fair -
A good honest and proper review. A lot of reviews on personally owned items can be somewhat rose tinted as the owner is already in love with the product but your review was completely true and straight. Looking forwards to your next review as I avoid all fanboy ones lol

Revolvers......hmmmmmmmm If I was going into a real life combat situation my revolver would get left at home! However seeing as airsoft is for fun and not life and death my revolver comes with me everytime. Yes I agree it's no where near as effective as say a glock or 1911 BUT (and it's a big fat butt)... They are incredibly fun to use. Whereas the guy with the glock may come round the corner popping off shots and catching someone with the 8th shot, the guy with the revolver sneaks up to almost point blank range and gets an almost execution style kill!!! Practical no...Fun HELL YEAH I don't even own a regular pistol but I do own a marushin ragin bull! It's clunky huge, only has 6 shots and is not high on power but everytime I get a kill with it I smile from ear to ear. Oh and 8mm BBs are beast! They don't do more damage but look very intimidating! And everytime I take it out of its holster you hear one or two "ohhhh sssshitttt!!!" The only thing to consider with a revolver is the overall look of your loadout. It may look seriously out of place so choose wisely Oh and the only thing in airsoft better than a revolver is.... TWO REVOLVERS!!!

TM SCAR H recoil VFC EGLM VFC PEQ15 Rail ext Torch
-
whoop whoop...seems I must have been a good boy this year so santa bought me some goodies. Actually...that's not true. Santa does not exist and in fact I was given a barrage of goodies by a brunette with big tits. I already had the TM SCAR H so rather than go down the "lets go out and buy a second, third, and fourth gun" route, I thought I'd pump some cash into this one instead. Firstly, I got the VFC EGLM. Tried the ARES one in a shop and it wouldn't go on for love nor money. Was told of a mod I could do to the SCAR involving cutting a piece away but that didn't make any sense chopping up a £600 gun to fit a £200 launcher. It would be like cutting off your ankles because your trousers are too long. Ok, so that's a very drastic example but you get my drift. I only really play CQB so the launcher with 120round SHS grenades will be very useful. Heavy but not for show only. Next up was the rail extension by Nitro Vo. I've not seen one of these on any UK gun/forum. They are very ugly but I like that about it. The angled end makes the gun look very aggressive and modern at the same time. The rail ext allows me to use a longer style hold on the gun. Plus I am now able to mount things ahead of where my hands go. Also, ive always thought the SCAR EGLM looks odd because its longer then the ris. Just looks weird to me. Now the rail/ris is further it looks a lot nicer as far as I'm concerned. Next up .... VFC PEQ-15.... gotta have that laser lol Finally a NIGHT EVO slanted button tactical torch. The beauty of these torches in the in the button and the fact they mount flat to the ris without any sort of bracket. Overall the gun looks very front heavy but very modern. It does indeed weigh a tonne but that doesn't bother me in the slightest. I wouldn't recommend this setup to anyone else...but its perfect for moi

Marushin raging bull Used it for the first time last Sunday at red1cqb... Absolutely great fun. At one point I just had this (loaded with 6 8mm bbs) and a knife!!! Very fun indeed.

My cqb load out with TM scar heavy...
-
A wee pic from Saturday. It's a scar heavy but not my TM. I borrowed my mates Dboys which had a few mods and was running at 0.99j. The Marshall's tested it and it was consistently between 98-99 and never once hit a full 1joule. Even after a good 50 bbs it never went over. The range was super impressive as well but I did a running dive with it and the connector came loose inside so I then moved onto my mates G&G m4 which was also very nice to shoot
-
Oh yeah I will end up with fees on that got sure
-
Uk shop paid the fees of course so for me as the buyer it was like buying from uk shop as they themselves imported it
-
I am now the proud owner of a TM scar heavy! Had to get a UK shop to order it in via china but worth the hassle Also have found a USA based company to do me a ragin bull full sleeve holster. Not a bad week really Oh and went to the annual 6 man competition at billericay on Saturday and my team got 4th out of 12. Just out of the awards but will do better next year.
