I like to frequent the gym myself. It has a slight merge or use for airsoft as being a bit stronger means being able to carry heavier weapons without fatiguing quickly. The disadvantage is being a larger target it's harder to hide and you get lit up pretty bad (which I actually find fun lol)

Thought on Bunker 51 & The Mall, please?
Black Death replied to jeffery7466's topic in General Discussion
I've not tried bunker51 but I have visited the mall. Overall it's a good site and I can appreciate why it has won awards. It's quite large as sites go and the layout is brilliant. The guys that run it seem very nice which makes it all the harder to criticise it BUT I had one main frustration from my experience which was the lack of lighting. Yes most sites (especially cqb) will have dark areas and in some sites absolute pitch black but the mall just has too many areas like this. A little bit of this makes for exciting variance but too much of it means it encourages too many choking points and at times spray and pray type gameplay. I felt the fluidity was definitely reduced by stumbling blindly around where more running and fighting could have commenced. On a more positive note, the terminator game mode is absolutely fucking AWESOME! If you haven't seen it before a guy dresses up as terminator and will take hundreds of bbs before he goes down for 30 seconds or so. He fights back with a fully auto support weapon which feels like being shot at by an entire team at once. If you can get down to the site then do so. In my honest opinion it's not the best ever site but it's very far from the worst either -
Your attitude is spot on both with regards to MED and bang rule I'm a true believer in that if you have a problem getting hit point blank (single shot) then you should stick to posing with airsoft guns instead of playing with them. If you are a bit of a jitterish person than cqb is defo not for you. Strangely when I play airsoft I do see a lot of people who hang back a bit away from the front line/entry team on doorways obviously afraid of getting lit up. These people tend to have masses of protective gear on and still worry. The strange thing is, if you let a mate shoot a couple of times point blank it will hurt but then you get over that fear. You will enjoy airsoft ten times more after that with your new found bravery and freedom. Getting hit point blank at airsoft should be as expected and enjoyed as much as getting wet going swimming or getting muddy playing football. We need to take the 'soft' out of airsoft lol

Sweet reply! I'm glad you've shared that :-)

Slight deviation of topic.... But has anyone else noticed some peeps stance has become very square with both shoulders facing 90 degrees forwards and the gun pointing straight 90 degrees out of the right shoulder? Keep seeing this and thought it was odd but again, I guess it doesn't really matter. I prefer a more bladed stance just because it reduces me as a target quite slot and my balance is better. Also if one foot is behind the other I'm ready to run back or forwards easily

I'm no expert in guns (airsoft or real steel) but I do understand a fair bit about how the body moves and reacts to stresses. Quite often in sports and activities a natural position or movement is formed or developed based on the forces against the body or the balance needed to achieve it. When shooting a REAL gun it's deffo a good/natural idea to shoulder the weapon properly to counteract the recoil. You may get it wrong the first time but even if you handed m14s to wild Indians with no training whatsoever and monitored they're progress, soon enough through trial and error (and injury lol) they would aquire decent technique. In airsoft there is no kick (98% of guns) so for someone with no experience of handling or who hasn't really made an effort to learn this position can feel quite normal. Add to that perhaps weak upper body strength and they are even more likely to want to place the weight as vertically down they're body as possible rather then support it properly. Does it bother me whilst skirmishing..... No not really. But I do find it odd when someone spends a heck of a lot of money on guns n gear but they're stance is girly lol #military press for stronger shoulders :-)

Toys R Us do knives for £6 lol

Plus how can the sniper actually be annoyed with the OP playing WITHIN the rules of the game? Doesn't make any sense! If the sniper gets annoyed and then shoots the OP at close range causing injury then that's an INTENTIONAL injury. You can't then say oh I didn't mean it because what else did you think would possibly happen at 5m with a 550fps gun??? that's no good for EVERYBODY because the media would just love to jump on something like that Plus anyone who loses they're temper whilst holding an airsoft gun is just a straight liability to the site and the sport itself. Also that person should be concerned that bbs won't hurt enough to stop someone actually dropping they're gun and fighting you. Will you be able to defend yourself? Food for thought lol

There's no way you walk up to 12 guys without one of them telling the others! That's my point! Also you have answered your own statement perfectly! In airsoft the first rule is either engage safely or don't engage at all! It's never worth risking someone else's safety just for the 3 second satisfaction of a score! Bring the right tools for the job to allow you to get the job done. And yes I've dropped a grenade before and got 'free kills' from it (plus a suiicide) but this still conforms to the rules of the game! The rules keep the game safe and NOT necessarily logical. Take away the safety and we no longer will be allowed this beautiful game. Simples

So your saying if I literally walk across your red dot when you had no idea I was there, that makes you more aware than me? Lolololol I think luck may have a small part to play. I was merely identifying that some experienced players quite literally HUNT opposition whereas the rest of us just find people! There's a big difference
-
Based in this theory.... I could walk up to a 12 man strong cluster waving my oshiboom in the air saying your all dead. Now safety dictates I don't throw my oshi as if it hits you in the head you'll be in a coma. I could spend £3 on a soft disposable but I chose not to (just like the sniper didn't bring a secondary). Do you see where I'm going with this... We all know the rules of airsoft and how to play but people sometimes think 'outside' of this which only complicates situations. Don't apply your own logic, don't apply real steel logic. We all get the same briefing so if we stick to them rules there's no confusion

First things first lets just determine the phrase 'drop on someone'. If 2 people are in a thick woods unaware of each other's presense at say 10m and then one of them makes a small noise alerting the other to his position THIS IS NOT getting the drop on someone. It's called getting lucky! If you track a man down based on recent change to bush/foliage and you even throw a twig in another direction to get him to face the wrong way then THIS IS getting the drop on someone. Skilled military guys will tell you about this stuff. Personally I'm rubbish at it as I make more noise than an athsmatic rapist but if done well (especially as a sniper) most people don't see you the entire day and have no idea where the shots are coming from. Let's not confuse fluke/luck with skills/getting the drop on someone. Played against a guy (ex military) couple of weeks ago. I never saw him during gameplay and only saw him in the safe zone. He managed to shoot me in the mouth and I swallowed the bb. My hat went off to him and I specifically found him to shake his hand as I had respect for his skill level. Forget your mega tuned systemas... This guy was a f*cking marvel
-
Whilst I see your point and understand it, you are forgetting one vital point! The sniper DID NOT get the drop on the OP. If anything they both were not aware where eachother was until the sniper realised and it was too late as he was too close. If the sniper had snuck up on the OP he would have shot him as soon as he was in range. The fact he was too close proves that the OP being there was a suprise. Now when you look at it this way it's not as if the sniper really early a hardened stealth kill. He just realised last minute dot com and realised he didn't have a legal weapon to get the job done according to rules.

Inflict unnecessary pain...... Really.... I was under impression that going to an airsoft skirmish meant getting licked every now and then. Next time I don't feel like getting hit I might just play with water pistols instead! Lolololol
-
Spot on geezer Spent hundreds on gear and guns, spent an hour getting it prepped indoors, 2 hours driving to venue, 30 mins getting ready, 45 second sneaking up on someone JUST TO SHOUT BANG!!! Oh hell no! You must be kidding me!
-
Whilst that statement is true, airsoft and real world is quite different (mainly based on safety). Minding safety doesn't make you nice or a good player... It's the RULES! The OP played by the rules and came out on top. His opponent could have chosen an easy fix but for whatever reason couldn't be bothered to pack a £6 rubber knife! I would have taken the hit if he tapped me with a banana. At least it's a pointy object lol. 'Take your hit' is just plain lazy
-
I completely agree with you bro! You hit the nail on the head! The other relative thing is that to make airsoft interesting, we use different guns in different ways to balance things out! Imagine a full auto pistol with a drum mag that held 500 rounds? You'd have the firepower of an aeg but in a small package! Or as you said imagine a full auto barett at 550fps! These are just trolling weapons lol. We have to retard some guns not only for safety but to keep the game fair and balanced! If you have a long range weapon then stick to shooting at long range. It's not rocket science! Otherwise someone would develop a 450fps accurate to 60m 1911 and sniper rifles could go in the bin.
-
Guy needs to buy a £6 rubber knife or a £15 springer pistol lol You did nothing wrong in my opinion. Snipers appreciate the minimum engagement rule especially as it's based on safety reasons. If they shoot too close that's cause for getting kicked off site! It's just plain dangerous especially when you consider the vast majority (almost all) standard eye pro isn't rated to 500fps at close range! Bearing that in mind, if he shot me with a pistol which malfunctioned I'd politely ask him to show me the mag. If it has BBs and gas if put the lack of shot down to malfunction outside his control and assume he wouldn't miss a target my size from 5m. I've done this before as i feel it's in the spirit of the game. but not carrying a knife or pistol as a sniper is your choice. Your fair game As for bang rule it's so so sooooooo weak! It's actually counterproductive to the sport. It's anti-combat! I can understand it for under 18s games but for the rest of us it's like 'touch rugby' which makes my blood boil. The way I see it is that if a guy is smart enough and stealthy enough to get behind me then he has every right to shoot me cold in the back assassination style. As long as he's not too spiteful and shoots me in the back of the head/neck it's all good. Between the shoulder blades is polite or the bum cheeks are good for extra humiliation lol. I deliberately keep my knife on my left leg because of the bang rule! Why I hear you ask? Well if you shout bang at my back my right hand raises my rifle as if in a passive fashion. Now at this point I don't shout hit but because I appear slumped and my gun raises you assume I'm pussying out! As your eyes fixate in the rifle my left hand stabs behind me and you are now in fact DEAD! Sneaky yes but deffo a lesson learned! If you get a chance to kill me... Please do!

Shizouka hobby show-TOKYO MARUI GBB M4!
Black Death replied to Unrustle_Thine_Jimmies's topic in Latest News
Im liking the new releases. I'm 100% grabbing the breacher! I've been wanting the m870 for cqb games but I don't like large stock. I've been trying to think up a way to modify it but with the gas tank in the stock there was no way to achieve such. AND THEN they go mention the breacher! Happy f*cking days!!! Deffo top of the birthday list. I've already squared the money for this with a retailer! It's just a case now of WHEN not if When the HK417D comes out I will avoid it like the plague. I don't wanna see pics or vids or bump into it at a skirmish because of I do.... ... I will end up buying one! It's like shown crack to coke heads. This just ain't fair -
TM SCAR H all day long!
-
I can see why peeps enjoy Milsim and why others don't. I keep saying I will play a game one day but I think if I'm honest I may just annoy my friends/team mates and not be invited again. No access to my Facebook, no bubble bath, no sex before bed, ammo limited to a handful of bbs, sporadic fighting and having to take orders.... Sounds like hell to me. I think you'd literally have to pay me to do it as it would feel like an actual shift lol That said I've got a shed load of respect for the guys that do it! Seriously you must have serious discipline and dedication. My hat goes of to you

I prefer drop leg jobbies myself as I don't like anything on my chest other then a tshirt. I also don't like pistols on belts as the slightly higher position is awkward for me due to my build. I've never ever had a problem with flapping about but I do always make sure the holster is very tight both on my leg and clipped into my belt with no slack also. I use either twin TM desert eagles or a marushin ragin bull revolver (6.5" barrel) all of which are super heavy and as previously stated with zero flap! I only have a viper holster for the d'eagles and an unknown brand for my raging bull so hardly Gucci at all but still work absolutely fine. Pretty much if anything isn't strapped tight to you it's going to make noise wether it be radio pouches, holsters, drop leg molle platforms, etc. You know when it's strapped tight enough because when you move you can't feel that it's on. If it's cuts off blood supply then obviously it's too tight lol. On a slightly funny note, I even go as far to wear cycling shorts under my replica crye trousers as I don't want my codpiece flapping around either. That can get quite uncomfortable if not kept in check lol
-
That vid is awesome! It's odd because everyone plays cod/battlefield like that but when they play airsoft they are much more reserved/reluctant. I can only assume people can be a bit jitterish with the thought of getting hit close up. I love this style of aggressive play because you get a lot of scores and it's much more fun then sat hiding waiting to be hit. I recently aquired two desert eagles and oddly I get a lot more kills with them then when I play with my scar h. Yes you do get lit up badly when you get it wrong but that's part of the fun of the game

Keep calm.... The more relaxed your mind is, you will benefit from: Improved decision making and awareness Improved stamina (red mist zaps energy like you wouldn't believe) Improved understanding and communication But most of all keeping calm makes you look like one hell of a badass! Imagine a situation where you walk round a corner suspecting there are multiple targets. You go into a panicked hysteria and attempt to spray the entire room whilst looking away behind you because you are scared of getting hit in the face. Alternatively (and you can even use a pistol for this as apposed to an aeg) you can step out quickly but calmly. Your brain will automatically process the targets so acquisition is easier and faster. You get 4 targets in 4 rounds and the guys you hit were left looking panicked themselves! They walk away beliving you are a cyborg lol. This is made twice as badass if you use a revolver and you enter the realms of true badass motherfuckery if you do this with a knife! I have with my own eyes seen a friend literally walk through 12 guys with aegs whilst he took them all out with dual pistols. Casual but extremely effective and utterly badass
