  1. Hello airsoft community. The local site I play at has recently been broken into (21/09/14). I believe a total of 5or maybe 6 G36c's to have been stolen from task force in Cowbridge Wales. I think they are ASG but will get the exact model when I ask later tonight. If anyone sees any sportline type G36s for sale please post here and link to where the sale is. This way I can inform the site of the sale and they can take it from there. Police have investigated the crime scene. Just need to get the word out there. Cheers everyone
  2. When in doubt pull your cash out. I would If I were you. You can always send it back to you when the RIF arrives, then explain that since he hadn't been in contact or reachable you felt it necessary. I'm sure everyone here would agree.
  3. You could always ask your local site if they could buy for you and keep the RIF there. Especially since your dad doesn't like guns
  4. Fill in the markings with bluetack. Just cover the area and then carefully mold it to cover only the markings and not the body. HAVE A VALID DEFENSE.
  5. Hey guys, I have a little question for the WE F226 users or those who have experience. What gas do you find works best with your F226. I'm currently using Abbey ultra gas 122a. What do you use?
  6. Who gives a shit that this isn't paintball. I think everyone will agree that when we go skirmishing. We go to have FUN. Sorry if someone ruins your time because they can't get the quality of gear you carry. If you don't like other people wearing kit which is budgeted or not 'milsim' quality then that's your problem, not their's.
  7. If they wanted to show they had balls they would do a firing line against paintballers. Just saying it hurts more. As for the topic at hand. Short answer = NO.
  8. I know that Co2 along with the BB would of course interfere with direction of travel. But with a well designed Muzzle break you could theoretically separate the two by having the Co2 escape in a direction around 5 degrees away from the BB should be enough. There are some things which I'd love to see in airsoft but they'd never be improving the performance of any RIF so they are really pointless. I would love to see a GBBR hybrid with an AEG. Use lowcap mags with a gas resevoir where all the gas goes to the bolt (awesome blowback) and the AEG drives all the BB. (If timed well in a good system could be a really interesting piece of airsoft engineering
  9. What they should do is make it so it uses Co2 cartridges further in the handguards. Make it release a bit of gas on each shot somehow. Then the shape of the muzzle break can contribute to a bot of recoil?

    WE P226 Help

Hey guys, I've had a WE P226 for a while now (approx 6 months) What I have noticed is that the slide and contact with the outer barrel at the muzzle has a slight gap. I notice it causes a wiggle of the barrel assembly. The gap is only around 0.5mm but I notice it wiggles and just wondering if it will affect accuracy during firing. Has anyone else noticed this issue. thanks to all the advice you can give guys. All of it is useful, thanks

I could understand it working for GGBR's but with then hop up it would be counter productive in any RIF with a hop up (all of them) because rifling causes spinning of the round. So where the hop up causes lift on the BB that would then become lift in any perpendicular angle that is forward of the BB's direction of travel. There for rifling your inner barrel will cause your hop up to do nothing. Effectively your BB's lift could go down into the ground. or even sideways the only case I'd find acceptable to rifling inner barrels is miracle barrels which aren't really rifled... (doesn't really count if its a straight line rifling) As for the problem with your hop up it may just need to settle. Also, give your inner barrel a cleaning out. That might help. Since its a common weapon it might have standardized parts. So it may have a compatible hop up to other brands than just WE. Try TM or G&G maybe... I'm not too sure on brands which do an MP5. I'm more of a G36 man myself

no rifling? As far as I'm aware no airsoft rifles are actually rifled???
  13. What I would love is two guns to have sex and make an awesome single gun. For me it would be the G36 SL9 but with the regular G36 barrel. Then have it combined with a Bolt action sniper of some kind. Just for the lulz. The sniper would be bulpup and load in the stock and the barrel would continue to the front and the G36 functions would be exactly as you'd expect from an AEG but allowing the sniper parts to have the clearence
  14. Mine doesn't like it because apparently I get hurt. I tell her it doesn't hurt but she says the marks tell that they do.
  15. The way I'd value things is by totaling the cost of your weapon and deducting percentages by the age of the gun or the condition it is currently in. I'm not so sure exactly how much you should be charging for that because I have no idea of cost
  16. Epilepsy has different types. You get people who are photosensitive and triggered by flashing lights ect. (EVEN VIDEO GAMES THE HORROR) and then there are people who aren't. I'm luckily one opf the people who aren't photosensitive.
  17. Cool in concept but I think overall for airsoft its cons outweigh its pros. Mainly most sites will have a health and safety issue with it due to players with epilepsy. (having it epilepsy myself I wouldn't care if someone used it on me.) but considering for a skirmish this would just be a risk and just be an unfair advantage I like to call it. Also the cost is crazy. just get a strobe light on your gun. In addition. Wireless use. Cool but lets be honest you can't breach a room with a remote in hand unless in a squad. (an impact trigger for this would be awesome) Not to mention this is spamable. Since it is electronic once the room is clear go pick it back up and throw it somewhere else.
  18. Wind the magazine after putting it into the gun. You may find that it needs more winding as the BB's move up the the bottom of the hop chamber
  19. Another alternative is if you only play at one site and know you will it might be worth asking the site owner or manager to purchase the gun for you and hold it on site until you have UKARA. Nothing dodgy about it. They own the gun until you have UKARA, no money comes out of their pocket and you don't have to wait to buy it. It also guarentees them at least 3 games you have to do at their site because they have your gun. In a way they benefit from doing this. And so do you.
  20. Best thing is just cardio maybe a bit more leg and shoulder strength and once you feel comfy just start carrying it whilst exercising (obviously without the RIFS . You'll want to make sure you are comfortable with it on, because the fatigue of things digging into shoulders can cause you to tire out a lot faster. What I tend to do is jog for a good 10 minutes and then move onto doing a 10 second sprint and then back to jogging pace for around 30 seconds and repeat as many times as your feel you can manage. 10 is a good starting point. It really comes down to 2 things every time. Fitness and weight of gear. Both of which are a pain in the arse really
  21. If you've been playing for around 6 months then you should have one already, You've met the requirements for UKARA. Always best to assume that it will be needed from my point of view
  22. Best thing to do is this: Take a G36K variant. With the scope carry handle cut off the carry handle part (I know modding) but its a cheap part. Then leave the front of the carry handle off the gun, Try and get a shorter barrel length and get a mock suppressor. With that screw it on and then mark an angle from the top edge back down to be similar shape to a lasgun. Cut that back so you have the right shape barrel end. Then with the spare barrel you should have fit it within the mock suppressor so that it comes out slightly. Perfect end barrel shape. Maybe change the magwel to an M4 variant to get a vertical mag. Use the G36CV type stock as that is most similar. Really you cannot manage to a project like this without modding. Using that K variant scope makes it look like its using one of the scopes that fit on the heavy weapons Imperial guard teams that fits to a Lasgun to make a sort of DMR (even though they are meant for the weapons teams)
  23. yeah, Essentially its more of an agreement between the site and the skirmisher. Its in no way UKARA related because legally no person under 18 may buy a RIF. Although what I had done for me is I put a full deposit on my RIF at the site, it was then kept at the site for me to use. Essentially I was putting a deposit on the RIF in case I damaged it during a skirmish (wasn't rental because it was new). Once I got my UKARA the RIF became mine and I took it home. At no point did I own the RIF or leave the site with it, but it did save me money on rental and in the end once getting the UKARA I got my RIF.
