After almost three years you came back again asking for help with the niche aftermarket kit for the niche replica (Even more niche in 2025 due to much better SVD options readily available) and then your final post (Before this one) was again asking for advice on a pretty specific setup which I assume not many people have done - Especially as you was asking for the longest inner barrel when most would look for shorter in something like a GBB SVD. You haven't done anything to contribute to the "community" or be engaging here other than seeking help and then throwing a fit because nobody answered 🤷‍♂️ As our glorious cult leader Tackle said, anything Air Gun related isn't permitted (Even in the Off-Topic section, it's an AIRSOFT forum) which most of the community is aware of - however upon checking the rules @Tackle I didn't see anything specifically mentioning no air gun talks, could be worth adding? This is probably the best community platform for Airsoft to be honest, it's upkept and maintained and has staff that actually do look after the site. The members are great here too. For the WE I would highly recommend the Heavy Recoil Club discord server as there's a wealth of information for them there 🙂

To find it I searched "Airsoft excalibur m4" on google images, most brands will stick something on the side to distinguish their model or a serial number on the trigger guard. Then it's just a case of matching up items to results, in this case the handguard has 3 bolts which I looked for 🙂

Yep it's a WE then. Transparent hop unit, black lightweight inner barrel, stock has an actual "buffer tube" design (Non functioning of course) and of course the WE gearbox. Mystery solved, cheers bud!

Tried a King Arms V2 and also a Classic Army V2 shell and both went in so it seems the Cyma one was the problem. The receiver has a big CE mark and no serial number so it could be a WE tbh. No matter regardless as it's getting rebuilt - Just curious about it really

I received my M16A4 from a seller on here today, no issues with it but I knew I had a spare Cyma gearbox with all the bells and whistles (https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/cyma-complete-version-2-gearbox-w-high-torque-motor-and-etu-m4-aeg) so figured might as well drop that into the A4 knowing it would be a heavily used pew in the future. As I pulled the gearbox out of the A4 receiver, there was a big ol' WE Tech stamp on the side of it - And my Cyma gearbox doesn't fit the receiver. Confused to say the least. Anybody else have a Cyma M16A4 and can confirm/deny if a WE shell is the norm? 🤔

If you're going for a side folder you'll need to reroute your wiring to the top of your gearbox however with that large chunk in between the tang, you're limited on what you can really fit. I assume it's an old Tokyo Marui?

I thought the chap selling the AliExpress optics was a bit overpriced, he kept trying to get me to buy something because I'd shown interest in one optic (before finding out the price!) Definitely not as big as I'd of hoped but some cool bits knocking about that's for sure. I got there almost as soon as it opened haha. Gutted as I saw a PEQ-2 in a box, thought it was just a cheap battery box but turned out to be a G&P so didn't bother to check it out properly haha. Realised about half way down the A-12 what I'd done 🙄😂

Good little bundle from Splatoon Airsoft’s car boot sale today. A tokarev to go with my shiny makarov from a little while ago, an m203 which I can’t mount as none of my replicas have picatinny 😂 and a lovely charging handle for my MWS

There’s been a few people trying to reproduce the important parts etc but ultimately no idea if that ever came to fruition. Tippmanns seem to sit around for a while now as GBBR’s are reliable and Daytona kits are “more viable” so the selling point of a tippmann being an Aeg with recoil is gone. Tippmanns also seem to be relatively easy to break due to the nature of them. Overall they’re a hot mess that warrants avoiding unless you have more money than sense 😂

Slapping a real Eotech on a two tone rattle machine is… different. “Basically brand new” and “used 3 times”… not really brand new then is it? Do people still want Tippmanns given parts are next to unavailable when something inevitably goes wrong with it?
