An interesting development, I see it as a possitive bit of news regarding airsoft, certainly beats the usual wally in a Tube Station waving a RIF about headlines.
If this is successful, we might be able to expect a bigger range of L85's, more Virtus kit (clones or simply more on the marketplace), possibly an incentive for airsoft manufacturers to release a range of KS1's too, which should in theory make them cheaper but demand would probably still keep the price high.
Realistically I honestly think this could be good for our hobby, but given the international current affairs I wouldn't be surprised if conscription wasn't seriously considered for our younger generation and the use of airsoft in recruiting is a baby step towards a much bigger end goal.
