Thanks so much @BigStew. I didn't take it straight out and start firing it again, I looked up a video and stripped it down, cleaned and lubed with a silicon oil spray. I was wary of that exact reason you mentioned. Thanks again!

Hi guys, Apologies for the silly question here. Basically, I played a few games about 8 years ago before an operation put me out of action for a long, long time, then recently got the bug again. I have a Tokyo Marui Glock 17, that I bought back then, and was sold some Cyber Gun Extreme Blow Back APS 3 gas with it. Is this current gas too powerful? What is the best gas to use for this? I've tried to look up the answer, and there seems to be some mixed responses. An airsoft shop I went into recently said absolutely Green Gas, as have some on here with a search. Where online, multiple reviews say use green gas at your own risk (I'm guessing because of the plastic slide) and instead opt for 144a to be safe. Would it just be a case of the slide wears/breaks and replace, or can it damage internals too? I've seen there are upgrades you can get, like metal guarder slides but I'm a bit reluctant as the real steel is obviously, well not steel! Anyway, I know they are a popular sidearm, so what do you use and why? Thanks so much for the help in advance! P.S. Play DayZ most evenings with a group of 10-12, have some great laughs. Will add you on Steam later

Well considering DayZ is in Alpha can't really complain too much. BF4 has drastically improved in what WAS an almost unplayable game and Payday2 can be picked up for <£5 in Steam sales and is great value for a bit of teamplay.

I've been playing Battlefield 4, DayZ and Payday 2 recently. All great games dispite a few bugs for the first two.

Battlefield Friends are awesome! I've spent a whole night doing "birthday cake" with a few of my mates. If you haven't seen that BFF video I recommend it! And anyway... I'm a Colonel 100 and I actually have a life haha!

The thing is, they won't be up to high end spec PC gaming because PC gaming itself will have moved on then as well! BF4 will be out around late October I'll go as far as saying the 25th lol and yes it will be available for next gen consoles. It will also bring back the much missed commander for your team, definitely a good thing, I've always liked the idea of a Titan mode (2142) where you have to attack each teams aircraft carrier (instead of titan in the sky obviously lol.) A real fantastic game mode that will go down a storm I'm sure if they decide to include it.

BF4 teaser trailer to be released next Wednesday. Exciting new game or just another "£30 expansion"?

No problems I have played ARMA 2 or FARMA as we nicknamed it, after running around fields for hours haha. Havent seen anything of OF yet, will check out some gameplay. No games match up to Black Hawk Down in my opinion, just the perfect game play and at the time seemed like there were no problems. You could play on a map for hours, the same map and not get bored. You just don't get that anymore, I don't know how anyone can sit on Metro on BF3 and just nade and spray their asses off.

Ahh, just when you said "actually..." it sounded like you was picking up on something I said. Yea I agree definitely, the BF series of old put time and quality into games like BF2 and that's why it lasted so long, no one really complained, BF3 was released 6 years after BF2! It's no coincidence that the release dates now correspond with COD's! Battlefield has changed, even the feel of the game doesn't feel like the updated BF2 but with better graphics that many people wanted. I never for a second thought you was attacking me? lol

I didn't say anything about that? BF3 has been in competition with the COD series right from the word go, not just since MOH was put to bed. It's plain to see that they wanted to steal some of the COD fans with the expansion packs, game modes and game styles in the game.

Still playing and still enjoying it, getting ever closer to that crazy level 145 I really like Aftermath, it's really grown on me. You can get some excellent teamwork going and a small squad can really dominate. Looking forward to the new one in a couple of weeks, capture the flag will be a good addition. I still can't help thinking that Team King of the Hill needs to make an appearance in a BF series though, such a great game mode. BF4 is a strange one, they are obviously releasing it so soon after to keep up with the COD series, gamers want new things rather than just being happy with the base game and limited expansions previous Battlefields offered. Aiming it for release at the same time as next gen consoles is another obvious ploy that will get console sales soaring. I just can't see what extra can be added for PC though? Apart from new maps and maybe better weapon and soldier customisation options? Graphics can't improve that much, you have to think that they may even be running out of ideas themselves?
