    £600 for a service and cam belt change. Mazda are having a joke. Sam Goodwin here I come. Looks like I won't be skirmishing any time soon either way though :(

      £600? What did they do? Pull your car apart, piece from piece, and rebuild it again?

      Pretty much change everything that perishes, however its not really all necessary. Local MX5 specialists will do what i need (oil+gearbox+differential fluid changes, oil+air filters, cambelt change, spark plugs and small other things) for £260!!! Over half what Mazda want. Small independant garages may be cheaper but i don't really trust most of them around coventry.
