  1. I'm going to guess that It might be a VSR-10 by Tokyo marui? What exactly are you wanting to know? Pictures will help people help you, otherwise we're no more knowledgeable than you are right now! ASGK is a marking that Japanese Airsoft guns have, that certifies certain standards afaik.
  2. Good bucking and barrel and ensuring it's all in place properly and snugly in the hop unit to start with, after that it means opening the gearbox up and getting good air nozzle/cylinder etc. parts
  3. You don't want to beat 300 on 0.28s. The 1.14J limit will be approximately 295fps. Rather than opening the gearbox and swapping the spring, you'll probably be better off ensuring you have a good air seal, as well as bucking & barrel which should get you to what you want.
  4. I've not been in about a year or so, but yeah it's pretty much been like that when I've been. Every time I've played there, bar one, has always been in the first paintball-style section closest to the safe zone. Only once have I ever managed to play in the pines section (and this goes for the last three owners of the site prior to the current lot). When I say HPA & drum mags, I don't mean that they're anything particularly bad or malicious with it, just that there seems to be higher percentage than one would expect (TBF, this seems to be common among most of the sites in the North east; and a large reason why I don't really bother attending any local sites anymore). Games always seemed to be focused on short, fast scenarios where simply putting down rounds and hosing has been the name of the game; followed by everyone returning to the safe zone after every one only to come back out and do it again. I've got nothing against the guys that run it, they've been absolutely fine on a personal level, it's just not been the type of gameplay that interests me, which is why I didn't want to name them; (besides some rather daft pricing for ex hire guns, they've not really done anything wrong, it's just not my flavour of Airsoft). I've been doing this hobby for nearly 30 years, and You could even say Airsoft as a whole has been going this way in the past few years; which means I'm having to travel further and further afield to find somewhere that interests me. All of the local sites are pretty much the same, so it's not confined just them.
  5. Without being specific, It's up north and has a very world-ending name. It's probably worth avoiding anyway, unless endless HPA and Drum mags in a small, dense arena is your thing.
  6. One of my local sites is selling off their 3 year old, used and abused hire guns: The ever-present nuprol delta pioneers. As in; the things you can buy new for £120 or so. 🙃
  7. Are you looking to know about new and upcoming releases, or looking to purchase? If it's the second one then you'll want to use the classifieds section. https://airsoft-forums.uk/classifieds/
  8. Ahh, I get you now. Sorry, it's just that usually it'll be people asking to 'improve' their power by sticking a stronger spring in without doing anything else to it. I'd try it on 0.43 or 45s and see what it comes out at, and then go from there. Without knowing what's in it to start with, I can only guess at using something like an M140 or M130 to start with. I'd also check the barrel is clean and bucking is in good condition before doing anything else.
  9. If It's already doing 2.3J, then the spring isn't the problem. You're already at the limit; and using heavier ammo may even put you over. You'll want to look at the hop & barrel rather than touching the spring. When you say 'awful', how exactly do you mean? What was it doing (or not doing). Has it been touched internally?
  10. Looks very interesting but that's a lot of rules and information to learn and remember! Is there a rough date or location planned for this yet?
  11. I'd try going with somewhere between an M130 to M140, and see where that lands you.
  12. What power level are you hoping to achieve? Then we can work from there.
  13. It could be a variety of things. A poor air seal, damaged bucking, using a shorter barrel (generally I've found that the standard 428mm length inner for VSRs gives closest to what they should, if you have a G-spec length barrel then you'll need to go up in spring strength). What rifle and set-up are you using? An M110 giving 1.2J seems not too far off what I'd expect though.

It was PayPal, with in-store collection.

    WE M9 gen1/2

I've emailed them and I'm currently waiting on a reply. Was hoping to have one by the weekend as I'm back down in the area until Monday. That wouldn't surprise me, tbh.

    WE M9 gen1/2

That's what I figured. Annoying to know I've been sold the wrong one! Thanks for your help.

    WE M9 gen1/2

I recently picked up a WE M9 in-store last week whilst I was in the Midlands for a week and away from home, and got to try it out on Sunday. As I use 0.3s, I'd obviously need to add more hop to it, so on stripping it down to adjust the hop I saw that the hop unit was a different design from anything I'd seen before (shown below). And on adjusting hop then it was having no effect, nothing was protruding into the barrel as one might expect. After doing a bit of reading, am I correct in thinking that this is the Gen 1 version? According to my PayPal statement, then it was down as a gen 2 (which iirc uses the more common style hop unit, with the standard TM compatible pistol/VSR buckings). Has anyone had any experience with the WE M9 and Von confirm that I'm correct in thinking that the gen 2 should have a TM compatible unit and this has been mislabeled when sold?
  18. Not so much price related, but this advert set my spider sense off: The photo is a direct copy from patrol base's boneyard section, and the 'handwritten note' look like it's been edited in. 🤔
  19. In a crossover between this thread and one by @Jaylordofwaargh and the apparent lack of H8rs for sale, we have this gem: https://www.airsoft-hub.com/item/37553-umarex-revolver-h8r At only £80, it can be yours, for more than new! Grab a bargain(?) while it lasts!
  20. New account set up today with a few of The cheap "BBGUNZ specials" lots for sale, at higher price than new. https://www.airsoft-hub.com/item/37470-ar-15-replica
  21. That's fair enough. I'm letting my own biases from dealing with the education industry leak in, so I apologise for that. Definitely speak to them in a calm and professional matter first, as Colin Suggests.
  22. I can't say much on the subject, other than to say no; you've done nothing wrong in getting your son involved in the hobby in a safe and legal manner. Without knowing what your garden is like, but I would probably not do that anymore (unless yours is large and covered, just to be safe). I don't know how useful it would be, but I would be putting in a complaint to the school and seeking legal advice from someone knowledgeable. Such is the deterioration of the UK, that something like this is even a thing unfortunately. 😒 I hope it works out okay for you and your son, and keep us updated. I absolutely despise the schooling system and social services but that's a separate matter.
  23. Do you have a preferred bucking you use? I've tested a few and had inconsistent results; mostly maple leafs before settling with a basic style laylax 60⁰
  24. Just a quick heads up to anyone that uses Used Airsoft:
