  1. Lol... my thoughts exactly, it's a difficult enough day lugging lightweight webbing around. 34 years for me.
  2. Well bang goes a chunk of my tax rebate. And this to finish off my A3...
  3. I'm not planning on using it at a game day but I'd prob wear my pattern 58 if I did.
  4. Was watching one of Rifleman Moore's YT videos' when I had an urge to muck about with my Ares L1A1, F^*K ME... I'd totally forgotten it was an airsoft rif, I'd convinced myself it was a replica. Guess what's getting sighted in & crono'd tomorrow after work???
  5. I know that feeling... now, where are my meds?
  6. Genuine question... isn't it an M4 based lower? wouldn't 'most' pins fit?
  7. a simple question... does the but plate screw into the rear of the piston guide?
  8. Negative airsoft has a great video on youtube that explains this issue.
  9. Looking forward to finally ordering a wooden stocked rif that won't be two toned.
  10. Neither did I until I saw some for sale in the classifieds on here, I usually take a Scar-L & a G36C but haven't used the G36 yet, mainly coz I'd over filled the midcaps I got for the G36 so it wouldn't even crono & I'd taken a couple of SA80's on my last day playing.
  11. I bought wide Sig pouches specially to accomodate the lugs, still not used them tho as I've used my Scar in every game so far.
  12. No but my Grandad got into it bigtime in his retirement (building only with balsa & luck), he tried his hand at helicopters at one stage but on his first trial flight in the garden it went a bit off page & removed every single flower down one site of the garden (my Gran was the gardener)... it never flew again.
  13. I've bought 7 Lipo's from them recently over 3 seperate purchases with no issues.
  14. Speaking for myself if I was to get the folding stock it would need to be the iconic arm rest or nothing, the fixed stock looks good too tho.
  15. I don't have any HPA but picked up a couple of these from feabay for my PLCE collection, these might be big enough to carry air tanks. British Military Issue Woodland DPM PLCE Empty Double Rifle Grenade Pouch
  16. On a possitive note... found the spring. gawd knows where the spring guide is tho. Decided I'm going to buy a complete gear box as I'd like to bring it back to life properly.
  17. After following some links(thanks again), it looks like a consideration, I'm a bit wary of buying from abroad tho.
  18. Thanks folks, rocking horse shit is prob outwith my budget even if they were available, shame really as it's one of the few shotties I'd consider buying,.
  19. Attended my third skirmish yesterday at Players of War Airsoft, Used my usual polymer Scar-L (with much snipers tape to repair the broken stock from the last skirmish), I'd fitted an acog and prefered it to the red dot I've used in previous skirmishes despite needing a riser to get a decent sight picture, did notice that I tended to fire it side on(gangsta style) coz it was too high, think I'll play using the irons next time. I took my Osprey mk4 to try out & it's a lot easier to wear than I'd expected (never fitted the Brassards, covers or collars & only fitted ammo pouches with one utility pouch(to hold spare ammo & a loader), I had a mixture of high cap & mid cap mags for the day(only using one type per game), not sure which I preferred TBH but I'll need to be more aware of my shots with the mid caps in future so I don't run dry at the wrong time. First game was over before I knew it as players on our yellow team were fast as f&$k boi and bombed the bank pretty sharpish, can't say I had much impact on this win but I did get a kill without dieing for the whole 20ish minute game. Second was a role reversal match with us defending think I got a couple of kills but I definitely got shot a couple of times & the game ended as I was respawning so I don't even know who won it. Third game before lunch we were attacking & I definitely didn't get any kills or die coz I saw NO ONE on the red team at all, after some tactical crawling I helped lay down suppression fire at a few trees that looked menacing while a teammate captured the flag (note to self... use a full mag next time[damn mid caps]), the other flag was captured shortly after so another win for yellow. At burger & chip time I took my L86A2 to get cromo'd as 'Dave' had managed to fix it for me in the morning (I was secretly impressed that it fired around 410fps). During the 1st game after lunch we were attacking and after a couple of respawns due to (BOOM) headshot to my noggin, my Scar-L had a blockage so I made my way to the safe zone to clear it (still managed to get shot in the arm which was high above my head BTW), discovered I'd left my clearing rod at home but could clearly see there was a fir needle stuck between the hop up and a bb, what were my options... should I take my L85A2 into game instead? Decided against it as it fired a couple of hot rounds at the cromo before the morning games, or use the now repaired L86A2 into it's first ever skirmish? NOPE, I knew it was HOT so I decided to quit for the day & took both bullpups to the range instead to try them out & waste/use some BB's. No more games for me until the end of July due to work commitments.
  20. I recently got some Revision Sawfly & love em, got some second hand off fleabay but they were missing the band (now my driving shades), so got some new ones & they're great. They fog up occasionally but if I lift the front of my boonie hat they clear up very quickly.
  21. Just a wee question for those in the know... I never see an airsoft Franchi Spas12 with the iconic butt, is there a legal or other good reason why?
  22. Oh that#s happened many times already & tiny screws or even ballbearings, the flashlight on my phone has never been used as much...
  23. I bought a RIF from the sites classifieds which I'm very happy with, I knew it needed some work & I figured it would be a good first attempt at disassembly, tidy & rebuild as it would be a wall hanger anyway (unless it turned out awesome of course), anyway... it needed a few parts which were very nicely supplied by another site member, they arrived today & as I'm an eager beaver I set about 'fixing' my toy after I got home from work. I'd already stripped it before sourcing the parts I needed and noticed someone else had already been in it's guts to 'upgrade' or 'repair' it in the past. Looks like they'd replaced the piston spring with a longer/stronger one and the spring guide was either the wrong one or the threads were stripped so the whole spring assembly was wedged in with a metal plate cut to size. I've now got an almost complete & almost built Honey Badger that will probably have a fairly hot FPS except for one little issue... the spring, sprung all the way across my mancave and disappeared behind some shelving that I can't be arsed moving at the moment, not a big deal as it was meant to be a wall hanger anyway but... the butt plate screws into the bloody spring guide & three guesses where that is??? Looks like I'll be moving some shelving in my imediate future... DOH!
