  1. https://www.airsoft-hub.com/item/28438-bulldog-m4pg-ris-airsoft-gun-u I assume this was a JBBG "special" that the OP paid for. https://www.justbbguns.co.uk/bulldog-m4pg-ris-airsoft-gun/ When I could buy the same bundle (non-two tone), brand new for less money, why would I pay for this? Make it make sense please.
  2. If your gears don't move due to jamming, I would also try isolating the cause of your gears not moving (remove the spring first) Does your spur gear spin freely with the sector gear moving with the teeth on the piston? If not, you should look at whether you've installed them correctly. If they interlink OK, see if the bevel gear causes a jam there. As Dan said, your anti-reversal latch and/or its spring may have been installed improperly.
  3. Another great day at RIFT Airsoft's "the Battery" CQB site not far from Stansted Airport. Echoing much of what @Jacob Wright said on the previous page, the session had the expectedly good organisation from the staff. Since the first weekend, they were true to their word about listening to feedback about what worked and didn't work as the site had been updated to balance the games as the initial layout of defences, walkways and barricades did create an imbalance. Now it's much more balanced. It started with a full house of 70 players, split evenly into 2 teams - later in the day, a few players left ahead of the scheduled end of game play but the teams were rebalanced. As he mentioned, pre-emptive and suppressive firing aren't allowed so players wouldn't be discouraged from pushing forward. Doors were opened up by marshals during the day to mix things up and present more avenues of attack and defence. Similarly, lighting can be turned off in alternating or all rooms to change the style of play further so having a gun/body-mounted torch is recommended. The timing and variety with the missions was good as there was enough to be engaged without anything feeling repetitive. The host was clear in pointing out not to argue with opposing players if they didn't call their hits, just report it to a marshal and they'll judge accordingly. It made for a lot less bickering and actually some fairer play as I recall one marshal disagreeing with a shooter's claim he hit the opponent but the marshal had a clear view of this not being the case - the same marshal instructed another player later in the day to call a hit, giving him the benefit of the doubt that he may not have felt it on his plate carrier but the marshal saw the hit on him. There was a raffle with 2 prizes available. 1st prize was a Lancer Tactical (LT-35 if memory serves but it was definitely an ARP9 style AEG) and 2nd was a Raven EU18 GBB pistol. It's a shame that it will be gone in about a year's time but I'm glad I had the chance to play a few times there. I heard a few players had travelled at least 3 hours to play and the Battery lived up (or surpassed) their expectations.
  4. https://www.usedairsoft.co.uk/rif-s/cyma-cm-515-m4a1-aeg_i57191 Sorry but regardless of having an extra mag, a battery and a speedloader won't make this two-tone worth £10 more than a brand new black version https://bbguns4less.co.uk/products/cyma-cm515-m4-keymod-handguard-in-black.html
  5. Thankfully, the fake Go Fund Me page has gone. I guess they were satisfied with the report and Ollie himself confirming it was a fraud.
  6. https://www.airsoft-hub.com/item/28285-jing-gong-m5-a4-jg070mg Even if it has parcel protection and a few handy accessories, that's very ambitious pricing for a two-tone, especially when no context is given for an apparent resale of a new gun.
  7. Thanks for that. I've used the link in my report to Go Fund Me.
  8. The very same. Touching a two-tone CM.515 must be hazardous as it seems to infect people with an inflated sense of what the gun is worth to a market that has limited demand compared to its supply.
  9. https://www.airsoft-hub.com/item/27988-full-kit-withcyma-cm515-m4-rif Used twice so at £125 it's managed to be worth more than a £90 non two-tone! https://bbguns4less.co.uk/products/cyma-cm515-m4-keymod-handguard-in-black.html
  10. That is some truly bastardly, scummy behaviour. Ollie comes across as the nicest and most down to earth airsofter and was willing to put himself out there in an incredibly vulnerable position yet some scrote is willing to exploit his illness. I need to get off the internet today.
  11. I hope they're as good with you in person as they seemed when I overheard a discussion with a customer returning a faulty mag. Their email response leaves much to be desired in my experience too. They took ages to get back on a pre-sales query I had and never answered phone calls.
  12. It's immensely satisfying when they technically outgun you in that moment but you out strategise them. I once managed to land hits on 3 opponents from around a corner with a pistol before a fourth opponent got me.
  13. I've been in-store at Bespoke Airsoft. The shop is pretty good and they are planning to move to larger premises soon (with much better parking) near High Wycombe. Only Airsoft/Combat UK in Stevenage is easy to get to with plenty of parking nearby and has a lot of RIFs on display in store. They also have a shooting range.
  14. I'm moving to 0.28g as one of my pistols won't lift heavier though I'm phasing out my supply of 0.25g. My Mk23 can lift 0.36g easily if I want distance and low noise but I've been lucky not to have such windy days that 0.28g were blown away easily. Similar to what Impulse said, 0.28/0.32g is that sweet spot of cost vs benefit for me.
  15. 3 months. Jeez, that's just brutal. Poor fellow barely has time to plan for what looks like the inevitable, never mind try to live his life to the fullest with his friends and family. Life is too cruel sometimes. I'd been looking at GBBR so his videos were enormously helpful, especially with his cheery demeanour and his willingness to impart so much knowledge. He certainly influenced some of my gas pistol purchasing decisions. I wish the best for Ollie, his friends and family and hope they can make the most out of such an awful situation.
  16. I couldn't resist replying. I'd hate to see a noob or parent of a noob fall for that marketing guff and pay more than they really should.
  17. Ownership won't change hands until 2025 so there's another year left at the site.
  18. I think the website's down at the moment but the company and site have pages on the Zuck social media page.
  19. Welcome to the respawn point! Please don't take this the personally but after 7+ years, your old site has to act in the interests of its business and the wider airsoft community so they may question your intentions if you want to fast-track your renewal when you haven't played recently. Actually, yes to both. RIFT Airsoft launched a new CQB site (in the last 3 months) called the Battery near Great Dunmow. I can recommend it from experience having played at the site and seen it evolve through players' feedback.
  20. Welcome to the world of making your last big purchase... until the next one.
  21. https://www.airsoft-hub.com/item/21194-full-metal-m4-bundle-metal "I painted it green to match my other airsoft guns and to make it look cooler" Right. My 4 year old nephew could have painted it better than this abomination. "Paint can be removed easily." Of course. So easily that you didn't do it yourself to give yourself a chance of increasing the resale value of the gun. Gotcha.
  22. I didn't claim he'd done a Krytac P90. He had done the Cybergun FAMAS, which has a basic MOSFET and he refitted the gun with a Perun MOSFET though he didn't show the build process itself.
  23. Negative Airsoft should be on your shortlist. He's replaced the basic MOSFETs on pews with those from Perun so if anyone can retrofit your Krytac, he can.
  24. I've seen people claim to do though they said it was quite a faff as they had to make quite a few adaptations to make it work. That is true but remember that MOSFETs aren't all created equally. Krytac's MOSFET is pretty basic and covers voltage regulation, making it better suited to longer-term use with 11.1v LiPos than not using one, but not a great deal more. Perun's MOSFET is more comprehensive where it prevents double-firing due to overspin on the gears and has programmable firing modes among several other feature sets absent from that used in Krytac's own.
