VFC & TM are the most recommended brands for gbb ARs. VFC advantages: -excellent gas efficiency -durable steel FCG/BCG -Strong recoil -real spec parts -Decent accuracy ootb -High gas capacity VFC disadvantages: -Expensive/uncommon in the UK -Little airsoft specific aftermarket TM advantages: -Very strong airsoft aftermarket -Excellent efficiency and cold weather performance -Decent gas capacity -High ROF -Good accuracy ootb -Materials design around their limitations -1/3 cheaper than VFC TM disadvantages: -Unrealistic/toy-like design & action -Mostly zinc alloy -short inner barrel, low fps -Aeg spec parts WE system is no longer recommend because their design have basically no advantages over the aforementioned brands beside being cheap. Even then there's better alternative(double eagle mws clones). WE: -Infamous cheese zinc alloy construction -unrealistic internal design -poor winter performance -poor accuracy -Little aftermarket (besides ra tech) -Bolt lock failure -unappealing externals(steel parts stand out from alloy) As mentioned, double eagle mws clones are best bang for your buck since it's a direct clone of the mws with steel internals while being cheaper than a TM mws. The N4 and Ghetto blaster are both recommendable. However you may need to shim the magwell and replace the nozzle.

Made four variants of the TM AKM GBB bolt shells, standard TM, MWS charging handle version, Galil, Type 3 AK47 (No lighting cut). The MWS CH bolt is used with the dust cover, and takes any MWS spec charging handles, CH does not reciprocate of course. The other bolt variants can be used on its own. -

Ghk has repeatedly shown that they can't make good aks as evident in their V3 AK launch. V2 production already has a boat load of problems which they promised to fix in V3 but somehow made it worse. I should mention that V3 AKs no longer have parts OEM by LCT which makes it entirely GHK's fault. If you haven't seen it already, Explosive enterprises have a video on the GHK AK V3 at launch. TLDR: The gun is inefficient, sluggish, has a high chance of parts defect, contains multiple unfixable design flaws, inauthentic to its real counterpart and expensive. Just to name a few. GHK also lied to their customers, they paid 4UAD to have a "early preview" video and likely told them not to talk bad on the gun/ don't talk about too much aspects. Which is shoddy business practice to get people to drop £600 on a gun that GHK definitely knows is half-baked.

VFC AK74-MN GBBR - one to add to next year's Xmas list

I think vfc went with 4.5mm pin so that people can still use the vast majority of airsoft aftermarket stocks. The aluminum mag helps with thermal transfer, which helps the mag to recover from cool down and allow a massive gas capacity. It's a trade off with realism, given how efficient the gun is, I think it's worth it. -
explosive enterprises, badabing pictures, jaegerprecision, middle age gamer, etc. Some of the youtubers you listed aren't actual reviewers, they do paid promotions which can mislead people into buying garbage.

I don't have a E&C gen 4 but I have a E&C gen 3, the extracter is moulded into the slide so I'd imagine it would be the same on gen 4
