What do you mean you don't want to get an improvised mortar round to the head?
-
It would definitely put airsoft into scrutiny again, as a whole. It’s already a niche hobby that many people are put off by simply because of the replicas being… well, replicas of real pews. If that was me, I would test the “mortar” when the field is empty and with nobody around at all. The argument of “but nobody got hurt” is simply ridiculous, because nobody got hurt… this time. Mistakes happen, very easily. Then all of a sudden your little bit of “fun” becomes a big headache for the site owners and insurance.

That's rather sad, was it due to people not being ready in time or just not planned out? The idea of cramming a whole team into a bus seems kind of... Silly?

Seems to be a reoccurring theme the past few months, sadly

Looks like older generation SOF webbing before they fixed the mustard yellow. Retail prices: .45 Pouch: £10 m36 Pistol belt: £12 If the suspenders are marked "CS" then: £15 Three cell thompson pouch: £18 1911 Holster: £18 Medium rigger pouch: £9 Total: £82 I would say more £50, excluding shipping.

Swapping WE G17 internals to G18 internals
JinxDuh replied to Johndaniel4863's topic in General Help
Looking more into it, I don't think it will work. WE Glock 17's have a different nozzle, hammer, BBU etc. Probably cheaper and easier to get a green G18 lower if you can, sadly. -
Swapping WE G17 internals to G18 internals

I believe you can run the 17 slide on the 18 frame, however you'll lose the full auto. -
If they seem dodgy and they send me an image of what they "have", I'll always google reverse image it as 90% of the time the original item will show up. If that fails I'll ask for more images, rinse and repeat.

I quite like the autobot, works well with GBBR/GBBP/Aeg. My only gripes are the small amount of BB’s it can have (1400), and the initial price
-
It seems at last I’ve remedied the random “pull trigger, pew goes bang, but no bb goes woosh” however unsure if the BB going up is resolved however I think I’m just going to accept defeat and buy an LCT if it still gives me issues

Cyma AK’s are absolutely amazing internally, from what I’ve read and heard. Never actually owned one, but know that a lot of people swear by them. Another good alternative is the specna arms J series with the gate aster etc, but patrolbase seems to have removed them from their site -

The majority of mine are LCT, my most favourable is the RPK & RPK-74 but I like running support weapons. Failing that, can’t beat a classic AK-74M. -

Assuming the "A2" is a DD rail, and the acog is a decentish repro, and the drum mag is from tapp you're looking at roughly £950 retail. Whilst it's a high price, it's still not too bad.

Majority of AK mags are fine, even some of the cheaper ones hold up well in Steel receivers. AK mags are available with ease. It's one of the main platforms nowadays. The best thing I can suggest is, take into account your play style and areas you expect to play at. I.E if it's CQB, possibly smaller and easier to manipulate pews. The joy of airsoft is there's so many options. Another good (Or bad, depending on how easily impressionable you are like me...) idea is to look at what others are using, maybe ask to get a hands on with their pew if it catches your eye? That's how I got dragged into buying and building my first AK, my friend had one and let me have a play with it and now I've got about 20 of the feckers! -
I was wondering about putting an o-ring inside of the cap so you can slide it on and hold it tightish. Or tape it on, I'm handy with leccy tape... 😂 Holy warrior say the lens is BB proof but, I'd rather not lose £185

I’ll give that a go, might be able to adjust it to fit the cone shape too
-
Honestly, as it is right now I would say it’s not worth it. The firmware was meant to be out last week but still isn’t available. The audio quality is awful, the image quality is odd and if you go through varying lights it takes a while to adjust so you end up with some bad brightness in footage (This is all on standard settings). I’ve heard from people that got a beta access to the new firmware that it’s fixed a lot of issues but haven’t seen it for myself. The build quality is decent though, the Velcro attachment is solid as well. I’ve had to run it off of a battery pack as the batteries die really fast! I paid £185 for it, and was very disappointed to be honest. Hoping it gets better with the update! I did think about 3d printing one but don’t have a clue how to go about getting something made. I messaged the guy on eBay that does the torch covers etc (People recommend him a lot) but he didn’t reply to either of my messages so guess he’s not interested. The part it needs to slip over is cone shaped which makes it difficult. Currently the best thing I’ve came up with is taping an eotech protector to it 😂 It’s not pretty, but it works 😂

I’m trying to work out a way to attach a replaceable lens protector to my Holy Warrior M800 camera. It’s off spec from a mohoc so the HAO lens protector doesn’t fit. I also need to keep the lens clarity. Looking for suggestions on ways to go about it? 🙏

I’ll take the internals out of mine and you can have it for a steal… £200! 🤝

Found a maple leaf 6.02mm inner barrel, paired it with the maple leaf (Green) and out of roughly 160 shots (All on semi), I had 3 “miss fires” so it’s getting better! Chronoing exactly the same as above (with the hop on 0), 52 shots and only one “miss fire” aka not firing With the hop set to 7 (half way) I got 7 non firers within 29 shots. So I’m assuming the hop rubber is the cause With the maple leaf inner barrel and black bucking, out of 85 odd shots, it didn’t not fire once (Hop set to 0), hop set to 7 with roughly 50 shots it didn’t fire twice. Very confused 🤔
-
Changed out the XT 6.00 inner barrel and maple leaf bucking to a standard brass 6.05mm and standard black bucking. No issues at all, so will now try maple leaf bucking on brass barrel and default bucking on XT
-
Tried all 3 of the “tensioners” and the issue still persists, so not those. I get about 4 bb’s before it starts to “dry fire”, however the amount of dry firing varies anywhere from one shot to four or five before a BB will fire out. Starting to wonder if it’ll be better to bin the E&L and buy an LCT 🤣 Really out of ideas, the nozzle seems to return fine and the FPS is consistent (When it shoots the BB) with minimal drop and it was working fine on Wednesday when I did the fps checks 🤔
