Thought I'd try this out on my M16 before I go cutting up my L96's hop rubber

It was 310 with .2s, so don't fancy lowering it any more. Over hops .2s loads, .25s loads. .36s quite a lot, and .4s are alright, but too heavy for it so they go so slow and it has hardly any range with them. Gonna just mess about with it until it's shooting perfectly, then gonna do the same to my sniper and pistol. Expecting good results from all 3 in the end.

Trying to install this hop up and get it set up properly. Whatever I do, it seems to over hop .36s with the hop turned off. I even took the nub out and it's doing it.

Is this a joke or something? I really don't understand it at all..

Received the rest of the parts for L96 today, minus one thing. Also, the piston head was a little squashed, so doesn't fit in the cylinder. Exchanging it tomorrow at Urban Assault, thanks to Fire Support .

Well enjoy searching/buying/doing all of that :L. Should be finishing off my L96 tomorrow (aside from the paint), ordered everything else I need this morning (well, yesterday morning now, but I haven't slept so it doesn't count!) for next day delivery. Awesome, well deserved you two .

I hate PTFE tape. I always make a mess of everything, put too much on, etc. and can never get rid of it.

What parts do you still need for your L119? PS. since when were you a moderator?

It took 7 days; That's from when I placed the order. Received invoice email with reference and shipping etc. the next day. Sent them the money via PayPal that day (Thursday last week). Then got an email Thursday saying it had been dispatched, along with tracking number etc. Received it today at about 2 ish. Really, really good service. They were helpful in answering any questions I had via email as well, nothing bad to say about them.

Got it done now, finally. With help from various people :L. Still quite stiff, but at least it holds in place well and there's no chance of it ever unscrewing as I use it!!

This lot just arrived at my door: PDI fluted outer barrel PDI L96 tightbore PDI AI flash hider 1 PDI L96 hop chamber Happy as it somehow skipped all customs charges, despite the full price being on the package, 33391 Yen + 2800 Yen shipping.. Having problems already - the outer barrel simply refuses to screw into the bolt housing. The threads on the original and the PDI barrels are exactly the same, but it does 6 and a half turns then stops. Literally ripping my hard apart trying to screw it in. Anyone got any tips? Anything I add, like lube or whatever?

The low mounts too low, so getting a raised top rail, was only too low by a couple mm, but stopped it fitting. 4-16x50, red/green illuminated, couple more pictures in my L96 thread.

Just three-four foot difference. Should fit to be honest. Not bought yet, but will tomorrow (I get paid ), the rest of my L96 upgrade parts.

I'll be photographing it as I go. And yep, that's the one I've ordered . Need to get myself some OD Krylon, although I may order a new L96 in OD if funds allow. I'm sure I've seen a 420mm 6.01 barrel somewhere before, other than the PDI one on their website.

Just ran AVG PC tune up on my PC. 20% of the items scanned had errors, 5GB of junk files deleted, and had 18% fragmentation. Now it should run BF3 a little better, as it's been getting progressively worse since I've had it.

Just had a really nice (looking) lasagne for tea. I got to taste the very first mouthful of it for about a quarter of a second, in which time, it burnt literally my whole tongue so couldn't taste the rest and hurt a lot to eat!!

Yeah we do, but it was supporting another store, so our clocking in/out cards don't work there. Poor communication between the managers and team leaders.

It's the wrong way round to be able to see the trades, they're on the opposite side.. You're gonna love this then: on G&P's website, the M4 commando (RIS version and normal version) both have Marine trades . Although Wolf Armouries may have removed the trades, I know some US retailers do (fill in engraved ones with wax and burn off others). If you need RIS, why didn't you get the G&P commando with RIS?

Yeah true, that's one reason my M4's going to be 95% G&P. It shouldn't be bad, I think the M16 you had was an older one as you seemed to have more problems with it than I did with mine. Also, yours had white trades painted whereas mine were engraved. It's G&P, it won't be a blank receiver! Why not build literally from scratch then, buy gearbox, motor, barrel, hop unit, everything separately? I doubt they are as true as everyone says, just keep it clean after every game and use high quality BBs.

Getting the gearbox in my old M4, brute force and ignorance didn't work for a change, it just scratched it and snapped the selector plate.. Thought you didn't like G&P?
