Up until quite recently i didn’t really have any interest and thought Airsoft was just silly fake shitty Chinese toys. This was further backed up by the Airsoft weapons we have at work in my armoury - a L96 and a SA80 that are both utter pieces of utter cheap rubbish. But then i saw some nice Umarex pieces and my opinion totally changed. Now whilst I’m still to do a actual day of airsofting I’m chomping at the bit to get going - as are both my boys but only one is old enough at moment. Luckily i don’t have to fork out on much gear as got mountains of kit after a long career in the infantry. Anyway hope to see some of you guys at a local event. Had a lovely omega sea master , got it back in 1997 for my 21st. However my delightful ex wife gave it to the bloke she was shagging whilst i was out in Afghanistan back in 09. Gutted as was gift from my grandparents and they died not long before i deployed. Hope to get another but prices have shot up dramatically since i got that one

Thanks for the welcome 😀 Cant wait to get started - just need to buy the boy a few little bits unless i can procure them through work . Luckily i have more combats / sets of webbing than you can shake a stick at so don’t need to fork out on any of that.

Hello I’m John from Aldershot. As my eldest has recently turned 14 we are going to start to attend some Airsoft sites in near future. I have a few weapons already as were procured for use as foreign weapon systems / training aids and stored in my armoury at work. Had thought about starting up the hobby years ago but as my day job involves doing this type of stuff i never bothered and spent my weekend either walking the dogs or being lazy but my boy really wants to get into this so thought why not.
