Taiwangun Shipping Disruption (Brexit Related Content)

Well this really shows UPS up. While I am nearly at the 2 month mark for my second UPS shipment I ordered some Mask cases from the US at the weekend. They were shipped by FedEx on Monday and have arrived this morning, 3 days later. So 2 months vs 3 days!!!!! -

I would be interested to see if that actually happens. Mine has be in transit many times with multiple scheduled deliveries that have come and gone. Unless the detailed tracking actually says it has left SLH then it will be unlikely. -
Both are a coarse self tapping thread for plastic (different to wood self tapping screws). The trigger chassis is a 3mm x 8mm countersunk screw. The hammer chassis screw is a 2.6mm x 5mm button head screw. James

Organic BBs. Now that is the next airsoft marketing fad.

Eyepro - Ski-goggle Type or Glasses-type?
Piman replied to Little White Balls's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
While I agree point blank range is unrealistic it should still be close e.g. 550fps at 1m (hot gun catching someone just as they pass in front of a hidden sniper as they fire their shot). I is these unitended circumstances you want to account for. Sure you can ban someone for being over fps limits or shooting within minimum engagement but that will be after the act and too late to save your eye. Again it is a risk verses probability choice. While highly unlikely, if you are that 1 in 100,000 that loses their sight in one eye then the impact is huge. People do win the lottery even is most of us never will. For the sake of a little checking and the cost of a couple of bags of BBs why is there even a discussion. Just get the proper rated eye protection. -

No, I don't believe it. It is just a cruel UPS April the 1st joke! -

Although I got my first delivery I am still waiting for my second. The tracker still says it is due yesterday despite still being at SLH. Last scan was on the 26th. Hopefully yours will arrive soon. Although we are all happy to see UPS finally delivering I will not forget how much of a cluster F this has been due to them. I really would like to order from TG again, as they have an item that is not available anywhere else, but I will not do business with them until they offer an alternative to UPS. -

Got one of those as well. Apparently my second order is due for delivery tomorrow. Can someone check the temperature of Hell? Is it below zero? I don't actually believe it will turn up tomorrow though. -

Wow. My first shipment has finally arrived. It left on the 11th February so that is nearly 7 weeks. The delivery driver was sticking to the script with the customs delay excuse. For a package that was apparently held up by customs for inspection the box has not been opened and the TG tape is all intact. Now just have to wait for the 2nd shipment (5 1/2 weeks and counting). -

I have ordered from them several times this year and it has not been an issue. Next day or 2 at most. Yes, this was on the BBC website as a scam. Royal mail will never ask you anything like this via text. -
Been Thinking. Would This Be Allowed in Airsoft
Piman replied to Spartan09's topic in General Discussion
You will have to think about the liability of it and the insurance requirements of most fields. I know if I were running a field I would not allow 'home made' devices because of this regardless of how lightweight it is. -
As I said in the other thread: Having read the more detailed guidelines rather than the summaries in the news it always seemed rather optimistic to be opening up airsoft ahead of the 12th April. Nothing has changed but just a little more clarification has been provided.

An extreme abuse case (intentionally) but an interesting video none the less. Looks like this version had the newer hammer. James

So I got through to the UPS Brokerage (Thank you RebelScum). They just confirmed my shipments are in customs inspection and they can't do anything until they are released. I see TG are now accepting orders to the UK again but it is still via UPS so no order from me -

First was the 11th Feb, the second was 19th. Ordered as soon as TG has started taking UK orders again. -

Happy to see things moving along for some of you. That is good news. However not much progress for me. I had been in touch with TG a while ago and they have been in touch with UPS and provided them with all the information they needed (despite the fact that I had provided that directly to UPS my self many weeks ago). Still no sign of any movement on either of my shipments. In fact one of them has seen no update in over a week and they have started an investigation with no results so far. Again in seems to be luck if they manage to process your delivery or not. It is a real shame as there is another RIF that I would quite like and only available at TG but I will never use them until they offer another courier service other than UPS. Stock in the UK only seems to be getting worse. -

It might be for once that UPS are not telling lies when they say it is held up by customs. When you do open it let us know what state it is and how invasive the boarder force inspection has been. Did they just want to look at the box or have they been in there? -
Home Build M4 Overheating Batteries - Help/Advice Welcome
Piman replied to Caber77's topic in Electric Guns
Couple of key things here with batteries. 1. LiPos should never be fully discharges so using their full capacity in any calculations is not good. Aim for half to have a long life. 2. The issue is not the wrong battery. Don't just get a bigger battery. You need to find out why you have an excessive current draw. -

I got exactly the same update and exactly the same time as well. All the more reason not to trust these updates. James -

Agreed, check everything is free moving. You have checked the shimming but check the piston and tappet plate are free to move under their own weight when the gearbox is fully tight. Have you tried backing out the motor just a 1/4 turn? -
From my experience of building with 3 different G&P receivers they are OK. They are made better than most OEM receivers but are still expensive for what they are if you buy at retail and they do have their issues. As mentioned the barrel nut threads are a pain unless you use a G&P rail (However they do have some nice rails to go with their receivers). The ejection port dust covers do not close and the painted finish is average. The E&C are very nice for the money. I would say they are just as nice as the G&P receivers for less than half the cost and are a better fit for most other parts. It also comes with a lot of extras that the G&Ps don't (charging handle, mag & bolt release and fire selector). That makes it really good value vs G&P. I have this one and I really like it: https://www.begadi.com/e-c-m4-receiver-modern-schwarz.html?___store=en&___from_store=de Used with the E&C gearbox you will also get the locking bolt cover.

If you could find a friend with a printer it would be about £1 in material and some postage. I would offer if I weren't waiting on a replacement control board from china. Commercial printing can be quite expensive as it is the time on the machine. Something like that won't take too long so I would hope £20-30. However prices vary wildly depending on how 'professional' the printing service is.
