An extreme abuse case (intentionally) but an interesting video none the less. Looks like this version had the newer hammer. James

Taiwangun Shipping Disruption (Brexit Related Content)

So I got through to the UPS Brokerage (Thank you RebelScum). They just confirmed my shipments are in customs inspection and they can't do anything until they are released. I see TG are now accepting orders to the UK again but it is still via UPS so no order from me -

First was the 11th Feb, the second was 19th. Ordered as soon as TG has started taking UK orders again. -

Happy to see things moving along for some of you. That is good news. However not much progress for me. I had been in touch with TG a while ago and they have been in touch with UPS and provided them with all the information they needed (despite the fact that I had provided that directly to UPS my self many weeks ago). Still no sign of any movement on either of my shipments. In fact one of them has seen no update in over a week and they have started an investigation with no results so far. Again in seems to be luck if they manage to process your delivery or not. It is a real shame as there is another RIF that I would quite like and only available at TG but I will never use them until they offer another courier service other than UPS. Stock in the UK only seems to be getting worse. -

It might be for once that UPS are not telling lies when they say it is held up by customs. When you do open it let us know what state it is and how invasive the boarder force inspection has been. Did they just want to look at the box or have they been in there? -

I got exactly the same update and exactly the same time as well. All the more reason not to trust these updates. James -
If you could find a friend with a printer it would be about £1 in material and some postage. I would offer if I weren't waiting on a replacement control board from china. Commercial printing can be quite expensive as it is the time on the machine. Something like that won't take too long so I would hope £20-30. However prices vary wildly depending on how 'professional' the printing service is.
-
Agreed, that would make it stronger in the important directions but is a horrible print with supports. You can see it has been design to be printed the way it is. I am not quite sure I understand the question but this is a simple 3D print in its current orientation.
-
Yes, that and infill levels will all help. The design is simple so would be easy to replicate. Would just need to get a set of calipers on it.
-
That is not difficult but is not going to be very strong. Have you used it yet? The main load is in it's weakest axis (i.e. between the layers). Drop the gun on it's stock and I can see that snapping very easily. 3D printing is good for a lot of things but you need to choose carefully where you use it. Is there no commercial version you could buy? I would expect it to not be much mire than the cost of a 3D print.

I was told that for one of my packages but it seems like it depends on who you talk to at UPS. It turns out that both of mine are actually really with customs for inspection. This apparently can take 2-3 weeks and there will be little or no update on the tracker during this time. This again could be BS but the person I was talking to today seemed a little more informed and understanding of what is going on. I know that usually the import side is usually handled entirely by the UPS brokerage but occasionally they do get pulled for review. -
A little finishing but not much as it is a resin print rather than filament. I have sprayed in with a Matt lacquer.

Well, I have just hung up now after 4 hours 16 minutes. Did not get through to anyone and imagine they have gone home for the weekend. I am both laughing and crying but I will be invoicing them for my time. -

Just noticed this on TrustPilot: "UPS UK is 71 out of 71 ranked companies in the category Courier service on Trustpilot" Should not be surprised but good to see. Just wish it could get some national media coverage. -

Currently on hold to the UPS brokerage department. So far I have been waiting 3 hours and 7 minutes. -

Agreed. The vast majority of my order is just not available in the UK. -
So a used, worn and slightly damage pistol for £10 more than retail. Bargain.

I have had no movement or update on one package at SLH in 8 days and just been told it is just due to a backlog. On my second UPS claim they need the commercial invoice. This was already provided to them 3 weeks ago. Their incompetence is astounding. Both shipments have now been with UPS for over a month. In the meantime I have also been chasing Taiwangun. After my first many weeks ago they just asked me to wait as it was a issue of delays with UPS. Since then I have had no response to my emails to them. -

UPS support really are getting very deceitful. After just speaking to them further I put forward that I wanted to take my issue and complaint further and was given their 'customer support' email. To my surprise (perhaps I should not have been) I got an automated reply stating that this email is "not monitored or received". I have found another contact email address online and will see if that works. -

Well this is great and encouraging news. So my second shipment has not had an update for over a week so I called UPS. They have now suggested I raise a investigation request so they can start looking for it. Why the hell do I need to ask them to look for it.... They should not need me to ask them. I can't imagine how I will feel if they have lost it. -

Mine has gone through clearing and customs both in Poland and at Stanford Le Hope. Since then it has done nothing for days at SLH. The other was cleared in Poland but awaiting clearance at SLH, again for days. It seems to go through clearance both leaving Poland and entering the UK. This may also require a customs inspection which is usually part of the clearance procedure. James -
And don't she look purty. Yee haw

At the moment they are not shipping anything to the UK because UPS can not handle it. You won't be able to select any shipping option so cannot complete the checkout. Even when they do they will only accept orders over £135. This is because below that value they need to register for VAT with the UK and process it directly rather than letting you pay on import.
