  1. This is my reasoning. I have 50 odd pistol magazines for Marui glocks and hicapas. I’ve ended up going with a PCC45 as it was £200 (without any upgrades), so even if I spend £400 on upgrades - it’s cheaper than buying a stock MWS with 4 mags… as the mags are a massive additional cost. I’ve also got an MWS AR9 and a GHM9-G which take Marui glock mags… so again, they’re quite reasonable in cost because I’ve already got the mags upfront. i love my AKX and it’s by far the most reliable and accurate piece of kit I have. But the mags are £50-70 each and they’re super heavy. I worked out the other day, for the weight of 3 AKM mags, I can carry 9 guarder lightweight hicapa mags. I only use 4 or 5 in a game so it’s much more comfortable in terms of weight and space. I’d really like to see someone do a purpose built PCC for glock mags built off the MWS. i have a few glock based PCCs. But none of them were out of the box ready to go. The GHM9 and TWS9mm required modification to take glock mags. The prowin AR9 kit is a fairly large undertaking and required fairly careful modification. It would be nice to be able to buy one that’s just ready to go. The Sekio quarter circle 10 looks cool, but takes proprietary mags… so defeats the point.
  2. Found a gold bolt!
  3. I have quite a few glocks. A lot of them branded with agent, salient and strike industries. So quite please with the end result, for example this Big A stand.
  4. Bought a rather beat up g19 off the forums here last week. a little bit of cerakote and I’m really pleased! it’s still a WIP - the lower was borrowed off another g19 for photos. I have a new steel internal frame coming to replace the old tired OEM frame. What’s left of my Savia PCC45 ? MWS AR that takes hicapa mags. I’ve become a fan of the SLR furniture!
  5. I’m fairly sure it’s one bloke and maybe his wife helping. In all the years I’ve been dealing with boomarms, I’ve only ever heard from the same person. Also his return address is a residential flat. WGC shop on the other hand is a multi person operation with several employees. Talked to a number of them over the years.
  6. What makes you think many people work at Boomarms?
  7. I’m being super lazy and waiting for them to release a new generation/complete lower.
  8. This. It’s quite hard to encourage people to post good reviews. No encouragement required for people who are disgruntled. As Bryn has shown us.
  9. Very standard practice in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Often the wholesaler can get the order to the retailer within the same week. In some cases, the retailer is literally down the road.
  10. Boom arms is basically a guy running a shop out of his flat in HK. So he’s inundated with messages, emails and all the admin of running a shop. He’s only human and misses the odd email and gets a few orders wrong from time to time. in my experience, he always makes it right. I did a massive order with him last year, and he got it wrong to the tune of $300. It took him about 3 months to source the parts (as they’d all sold out by the time we agreed a resolution), but he made good on all the stuff he’d got wrong. i suspect he’s made a typo on the tracking number or he’s holding out for the last item in your order to come in stock.
  11. from what I’ve seen on the GBBR groups, this will fit your saiga. But you need to use the original grip screw from your saiga.
  12. Magpul MOE K2+ for me. its a steeper grip angle which is good if you’ve got compact PDW stock. alternatively the MOE+ is very good. you have a rubberised grip and a compartment for skittles.
  13. Having owned both a WE open bolt and an MWS, I’d recommend the MWS. Theres nothing wrong with the WE open bolt, however it struggled with cold weather and the after market parts required a lot of grinding and filing to fit. My MWS runs fairly happily in the single digits we’ve had recently. My AKX has performed very well in sub zero where the MWS has struggled. However, by comparison, my WE SCAR L would have given up around 10-15C. if you want realism, then the VFC systems are much better. My bugbear with the MWS is that it takes AEG furniture so lots of the cool stuff isn’t available in MWS spec or is super expensive because it’s specifically made for the MWS.
  14. These posts always make me laugh. He wants you to spend nearly £1000 (more than retail) on a “heavily modified internally” AKX… but cba to list what he’s done to it to make it worth so much. Again wants near retail for the MWS and Kriss.
  15. I recommend you contact big Steve and see if he can help. https://bigstevesbuilds.com
  16. So I’ve almost finished modifying my PCC45 - most of the MWS upgrades have been drop in. The SD rail took a little modification but just a couple of minutes with a file as the rail interferes with the lower receiver.
  17. I hope you plan on giving the gas back after you’ve used it ? as people have said, green gas in fine. In my experience, the hicapa slides are robust - I’ve been running a DOR with stock slide for several years now on green gas. I just switch to ultrair in the summer.
  18. - clean regularly: wipe down surfaces and remove excess dirt and oil from all the moving part surfaces. - clean the barrel regularly (I clean the barrel after every game day) using a strip of microfibre cloth and an airsoft barrel cleaner. - reapply oil to the moving parts. Silicone oil for plastic-plastic or metal-plastic parts. Using something like white lithium or PTFE spray. You only need a tiny amount.
  19. Seen on a WhatsApp sales group - Someone else has defends the bonkers price by suggesting that Nicco is the Michael Jordan of Airsoft and that’s why you’d pay so much for a gun he’s touched!
  20. So mine arrived on the weekend. i ordered two however that hasn’t panned out. One arrived with a factory defect (cracked nozzle). The second one is below. I’ve put a SCW stock on it. Seems to cycle well on ultrair at room temp. Haven’t tested the power or consistency of shots as the one I’m planning on changing the inner barrel and hop rubber soon. largely MWS compatible. MWS hop unit, MWS BCG, MWS trigger box, MWS spec stock tube.
  21. Full steel Loki Tactical cerakoted in Armourer black by West Laser! the slide was lost in the post by RM… however Joe managed to get the whole job turned around and to my door in 48 hours after they found the package and delivered to him. its quite snappy for such a heavy (G34 length) slide and comp.
  22. tools I’d recommend: - Decent multi-head screw driver - I have a 100 piece Aldi one that so far hasn’t lacked in type or size of fixture head. - get two decent valve keys - not the all in one triangle ones: output valve key injection valve key - silicone oil for rubber and plastic parts. I use a GHK gbbr oil which I personally think is the best around. some sort of metal lubricant. I use white - lithium but that’s not the only option. gas wise - depends on the pistol you buy, but for plinking in the garden and a Marui. Ultra air is very cheap in bulk and will run the HK45 fine. 25s are fine as well. Never tried the brand you’ve mentioned but I assume they’re half decent.
  23. You won’t get 50fps increase. As @herosharksaid, you’ll typically get 10fps. depending on the shape of the nozzle, you can get negative efficiency effects as the nineball router is curved and maybe TM clones (like WE) use a flat router, creating an airseal problem. personally, if you’re experiencing things like hammer failures as stock, I’d avoid fitting the gas routers and look at upgrading the weak points of the pistol such as the hammer set.
  24. Another one I finished last night: 10-8 G19 Gen4. C&C Tac KKM barrel. Using the TTI hops in just about everything I build.
  25. Complete Guarder Steel G34. Built this from nothing with almost entirely steel parts. Went with a TTI hop unit as they’re substantially better than the OEM style hops. I plan on using this for CQB games, so it has tritium sights as well.
