Well my G&p buffer kit arrived today and it must be me but I've had a nightmare with it, I've two options: either no bolt lock as the buffer tube is wound nearly all the way in with two threads remaining or wound all the way out so it can move up and down and jam on the lower causing a gas out then giving me the final two finger salute by stopping me from lifting the upper from the lower by protruding too far forward and not catching on the spring buffer retaining (stop?) So I have to remove the buffer tube to get it out.

additionally the modify tan hop rubber with super G nub does not seem to be as good as the original tm one to me the best I can get is an 80 to 90 mm group at 20 m. I'm going back to the original hop rubber with super G nub.

    Winner winner chicken dinner!

    Suggestions, queries, comments? Or commiserations?

Well I have 4 different buffer tubes and all of the buffers I have fit G&P, RA-Tech, Prowin, Angry Gun the tube brands are Geissele, G&P, Hao, and stock so ether your doing to wrong or I'm just lucky.

Do you mean this dildo shaped object is giving you a mare? I read somewhere to swap out the silicon knob end with a harder plastic end. I'm not if the Marui buffer end piece will fit into it though?

And what are the differeces between them? Lenght, weight, stronger spring? These would increase the FPS.

Interesting results. I wonder what affect a 4.0 or even a 4.5 valve would have with a stock length barrel?

Well I have the G&P springs, watermelon spring, and the G&P 4.5 nozzle but I have another G&P 1.0 nozzle coming as well as a "few" other parts.

Since firefox doesn't like me I'll add a response lol

SAA pmag leaked overnight so i just got done putting teflon thread sealer on all the gaskets and valves but i would test the GP valve on the CAG 416D but its currently stripped down till i get a response back from blacksheep arms on cerakote prices....

Green upper/lower receiver and FDE on the rail, controls and buffer tube.

As it currently sits color wise.

I’ve got one of those but In black. Haven’t installed it though. I’m waiting to get a HAO bolt carrier group to chuck it into.

Mine come in today so I'll have it built tomorrow

  6. The quick change barrel system is a cool concept but not worth the $250-500 its priced at over 10-15 minutes of work it's not like the barrel gets hot in airsoft so i find it more of a novelty item for people who test parts over a game item its not like changing a barrel is going to make you able to CQB after playing with a 16-20 inch barrel so it's not really viable to spend that much time thinking its a game changer.

Well I'll be trying out .28G Elite Force BB's today so you night owls will see the results.

    28c temp? I hate you 😂😂

    Here in Blighty it’s well 8c 🥶

May I ask, how did you collect the stats like that? An app?

I wish i could see snow here but oh well...

    High of 31c today

And yeah Acetech has a app for the chronograph because its bluetooth

  8. I just used .20 as a standard because it's based off the stock mws. Shooting in 28.33 degrees Celsius and at 29.5inHG from 260 feet above sea level or 109 meters

Saa pmag 330mm barrel stock spring

    AVG fps/ms 372.83/113.63

    Joules 1.294

  9. So should i start off with .20's or just use the .28's i got filled in the mags lol and I'm starting with a G&P 330mm 6.03 barrel and bucking with super 6 nub stock everything else but i have a pdi 250mm 6.01 barrel that has the GM tan bucking, G&P hopup and s6 nub then 2 different buffer units and springs G&P/RA tech

It’s like 7-10c here during the day time at the moment. A tad colder than CA 😂. Of course any chrono tests I do I have to do indoors at 20c. Yup that’s the ambient temp in my house lol

Yeah I really didn't have a choice in joining a UK based airsoft forum as it had the best MWS thread and that includes you stormtrooper.

I will add my part to the spreadsheet hopefully today if I get access to a chrono. Would be interesting to see how it performs in your climate with different pressure gasses

Yeah we're anywhere for 16-24c in California right now and up to 30 in the summer. But what chronographs are you guys using these days.

  12. Probably not something you screw in/out with the spring under load.  and its a different design nothing is wrong with it if you just can't understand it otherwise we'd all be without cars or modern technology. I'd say do your own digging for information like asking G&P and then make a decision on it.

I haven’t unscrewed anything to see what the insides are like. To be honest I got it on a whim whilst waiting for my replacement marui nozzle to arrive. Now I’m thinking, I may as well get the G&P npas valve and shove it into this bolt so that I can swap to using higher power when needed. I’m on a standard length (CQB) barrel so either i get the 3.5 version of the npas or I just get a 4.5 and adjust the power accordingly and hope that version works with the CQB. Dunno yet. Any thoughts?

Now going back to the screw part it’s holding the hammer part of the bolt or whatever it’s called. Unlike the marui which has that bit forged as part of the bolt the G&P has it as a separate bit. See the pins below and you’ll see what I mean.

G&P  make two(2) different versions of this the long shown here is for barrels under 300mm the shorter for barrels longer than 300mm.

And as you can see here adjustments are possible and is a user replaceable part.

Sorry to interrupt the current line of conversation guys, just thought I'd give you guys a heads up.

Eagle6 have MWS mags in stock right now. I picked up four for my new MWS along with a nozzle spring set as a backup since I'm running green gas.

There must be a bug on the site because UK domestic delivery was going to cost me £55, so I ticked the box to ask for a separate delivery quote and they charged me £11 instead. Very reasonable of them to do that!

Lastly, this is my first GBBR and I love it, but has anybody got any tips for getting rid of the "mush" on the trigger before the break? Should I clean out my trigger unit? Its an expensive gun so I don't want to buy aftermarket parts for a long time.

    Thanks guys.

"Mushy" trigger 😑 I don't know how AEG guys expect a mechanical trigger system to respond more crisp than contact switches and electricity personally the trigger responses is quiet good its not going to be anything like the G&P, Guns Modify, Wii Tech aftermarket parts. If you want to talk about mushy trigger the Military Issue M4A1 is another story so its not going to be like a Geissele unit.

That’s a good point about cutting the syphon tube cleanly and of course removing the valve to prevent any debris contamination.

Regarding the bbs, I was under the impression that BLS, Geoff’s and Longbow share the same OEM. I’m not sure what the difference in Geoff’s precision  vs super precision is though.

I'd be willing to bet it's related to the polishing and shorting process.
