The 'What have you just bought' Thread

What Rig is this? Just got myself an Mp7 and looking at setups and this looks ideal -
Another "first gun" question, but with a twist.

So Tier 1 looks like a basic Titan and a barrel and hop rubber upgrade from the looks of it. At a rough calc, seems roughly half is cost is the parts and half labour. No idea on labour costs to say if that is reasonable as I do my own, but I would personally go for something like a Double Eagle M904 if you want some functions as a starter gun and learn to switch out a barrel and hop rubber should you feel the need. I have one, I'm still running the stock barrel, but switched the hop rubber, but that was just because I had a spare kicking around. -

I have the same pistol and had a very similar issue from new, it would vent after 2 or 3 shots, but was fine dry firing. I brought mine from Defcon and raised a warranty claim, I sent it back to them and it came back to me with a new mag, so I assume there was some mag issue, although they may of carried out other fixes also? all fine now and I can rapidly fire through a mag no issues.

Played my first game with my newly purchased MWS, first move to GBBR from an AEG. My play style needs some adapting, trying to suppress doesn't work to well with limited ammo, I was bingo ammo on a defend game and going toe to toe with high capped AEG's at an auto site felt like I was at a massive disadvantage. I need to learn gassing the mags better, first use of the day they were all fine, regassing/loading between games was a bit hit and miss if I'd filled enough to empty a mag, also the bolt didn't always lock back, but I put that down to not enough gas? I used 0.30g bb's, range was around 50/60m I would say, from the Chrono station. Magpuls whilst nice and I thought would offer some drop protection for the mags, get in the way of the fill valves, so need to come off I think. Overall, I liked the immersion of the platform though and look forward to using it again.

I've noticed a couple of my cheapish M4 mags (Cyma or BattleAxe) have started to lose compression, they're a couple of years old. I'm getting the odd misfeed and the last 15-20 BB's no longer feed, also noticeable that they come out with less punch when emptying mags after a game day. So is it worth changing out the springs and if so from where? or just replace the mags? EDIT: should add that I only load the night before a game and empty the mags when I get home from a game day

Just brought a MWS (my first GBBR), on the hunt for a sling plate and decent sling for it now. Great thread here, I've read a chunk of it 🙂

First GBBR, impressed with the feel and garden plinking, on the hunt for a sling mount and decent sling for it, before fielding. -
My son recently brought a Cybergun SCAR, it was a bit low on power 250ish on a .25. So I opened it up checked the airseals, regreased and put in a M105 spring (it's what I had spare). Put it all back together and chrono'd it a day or so later ~300 on .25 perfect, thought it may of been cutting it fine with the M105, but whatever... two weeks later we take it to a game and it chrono's at 335 and once we get home I get a similar reading. No change to hop, same BB's, the only thing I done in-between was change the Tamiya connector to Deans, so any idea's to why this has happened? I can only put it down to things have just settled in, as the FPS kinda makes sense on a M105 spring, odd though?

TAC41 vs Action Army T11 (+ mild upgrading)
SilentSparky replied to SilentSparky's topic in Single Action Guns
Quick update, used the TAC41 for one game at the weekend, Chrono'd at ~350 on a 0.4g BB with the 100N spring fitted. Was good to mix it up, two games of full auto fun, then decided to give the sniper a go. I played at the front with the rest of the team, got quite a few kills, accuracy was great and having that bit extra range was handy. I also had some sniper vs sniper battles, like a game within a game, which was fun. As a sniper, I seemed to attract team mates trying to point people out to me (manly kids), assume this is a normal thing? So overall, pleased with the purchase and look forward to using it for the odd game on outdoor days -
I generally run mid caps, but have a couple of hi cap's for full auto days or longer games or carry a speed loader. So I vote, 2 hi caps, 3 mid caps 🙂

TAC41 vs Action Army T11 (+ mild upgrading)
SilentSparky replied to SilentSparky's topic in Single Action Guns
Thanks for the responses, I went with the Tac41 in the end, just fir ease of using straight out of the box, brought a stronger spring and hope to use it next weekend, need to get some heavyweight BBs now 🙂 -

Boneyard G36, useful for some spares. Bit of a wreck of a gun, keep thinking of doing something with it, but it's been in a box in bits for over a year and likely to stay that way. Gearbox and motor work seemingly fine, but rear wired, so wiring would need changing to go back into the G36c. G36 body is pretty tatty and is missing front pin and one grip screw, outer barrel is also damaged. Hop until and inner barrel look OK. 2x Hicaps, no idea if they work. Price includes postage and fees£25

TAC41 vs Action Army T11 (+ mild upgrading)
SilentSparky replied to SilentSparky's topic in Single Action Guns
SRS just cost, didn't want to tie up too much cash in an occasional use sniper. So wondering if a cheaper base platform plus £100 odd for £250ish total or is the TAC41 worth the extra -
With spring on the way, I'm looking to do a bit of sniping. I don't want to become a fulltime bush, more frontline stuff, bit on the flanks etc... I've read about the TAC 41 on here and other places, minimal tweaking (just spring initially) and good to go, so am very tempted. But I'm not adverse to a bit of tinkering, so wondering how an Action Army T11 plus say £100 of upgrades be in comparison, any advice would be great!

Mine arrived today also, very speedy service. Here it is next to a real steel version; I think I'll age the wood at some point

Interesting, I hope TWG come up with a similar solution. I ordered from Gunfire at the end of May, took 6 weeks door to door. Was in the UK for 4 weeks and required a chase to UPS customs, but after that was fairly quick, paid fees at the door over the phone. -
Thanks for the reply, I'll grab some different BB's to see if that is the cause 🙂

I'm after some advice, my CYMA AK has developed an intermittent feeding issue. Last time out worked fine, just after chrono time last weekend and the issue started. I guestimate that the hop rubber and nub have had 3k rounds through it, so assume that's not worn out, visually they look fine when I took apart to inspect. Spec; Standard barrel, Maple Leaf Macaron hop rubber, Omega nub, Aluminum nozzle.. the only change since last game are the BB's, I've gone from Guarder non bio's .25's to Valkyrie .25's. It also maybe my imagination, but early in the mag it seems less of an issue. I'm thinking that for whatever reason the Valkyrie's are a fraction larger/tighter tolerances? so when there's more spring pressure from a full mag they're working, but as pressure drops, issues start. I happened to watch Negative Airsoft's latest YouTube yesterday and the solution mentioned was to take a small amount of material off of the hop rubber to help the BB's feed in some cases or is there something else I should be checking? Any advice would be great before I start hacking at stuff 🙂

Pretty conclusive, thanks for the recommendations, although they seem to be out of stock everywhere... 😞

My cheapio speed loader has broken after quite a bit of use, so I'm on the hunt for something more robust. It'll need to work on a variety of mags (M4, M14, AK, Mp5), any recommendations?
