TAC41 vs Action Army T11 (+ mild upgrading)
SilentSparky replied to SilentSparky's topic in Single Action Guns
Quick update, used the TAC41 for one game at the weekend, Chrono'd at ~350 on a 0.4g BB with the 100N spring fitted. Was good to mix it up, two games of full auto fun, then decided to give the sniper a go. I played at the front with the rest of the team, got quite a few kills, accuracy was great and having that bit extra range was handy. I also had some sniper vs sniper battles, like a game within a game, which was fun. As a sniper, I seemed to attract team mates trying to point people out to me (manly kids), assume this is a normal thing? So overall, pleased with the purchase and look forward to using it for the odd game on outdoor days -
I generally run mid caps, but have a couple of hi cap's for full auto days or longer games or carry a speed loader. So I vote, 2 hi caps, 3 mid caps ?

Thanks for the responses, I went with the Tac41 in the end, just fir ease of using straight out of the box, brought a stronger spring and hope to use it next weekend, need to get some heavyweight BBs now ? -
TAC41 vs Action Army T11 (+ mild upgrading)

SRS just cost, didn't want to tie up too much cash in an occasional use sniper. So wondering if a cheaper base platform plus £100 odd for £250ish total or is the TAC41 worth the extra -
With spring on the way, I'm looking to do a bit of sniping. I don't want to become a fulltime bush, more frontline stuff, bit on the flanks etc... I've read about the TAC 41 on here and other places, minimal tweaking (just spring initially) and good to go, so am very tempted. But I'm not adverse to a bit of tinkering, so wondering how an Action Army T11 plus say £100 of upgrades be in comparison, any advice would be great!

Mine arrived today also, very speedy service. Here it is next to a real steel version; I think I'll age the wood at some point

Interesting, I hope TWG come up with a similar solution. I ordered from Gunfire at the end of May, took 6 weeks door to door. Was in the UK for 4 weeks and required a chase to UPS customs, but after that was fairly quick, paid fees at the door over the phone. -

I done another order, after the fun of the first one. It wasn't as painful this time around, here's the timeline: 9th Apr - Order placed 12th Apr - Shipped 16th Apr - Arrived in UK 28th Apr - Voicemail left to me from UPS 29th Apr - Received RIF import doc (went in my spam so didn't return until 4th May) 4th May - Fee's invoice received & paid 11th May - Package received, no Border Force tape, so wasn't opened up/inspected (contained a RIF) So around 4 weeks, which is better than the 10wks odd when they first started back up. -

Yes I noticed they were taking UK orders again, maybe they're seeing movement of items getting delivered and issues resolved? -

From my parcel, one RIF was opened up and not packaged back very well, so obvious they had a look at what it was, one was seemingly unopened. -

So I just randomly had my parcel turn up, I had checked tracking this morning and saw the usual "Warehouse" scan ?. Tracking now shows delivered, but was never out for delivery. Info: Ordered 12th Feb, arrived in UK on 19th Feb. Parcel contained RIFs, it's been opened up at some point and has Home Office Border Force tape on parcel. No duty paid Edit: Firearms form completed on 25th Feb There's hope people ? -

I had a large order pre-Brexit, but there's always more stuff to buy right ? I knew there would be some charges and wanted to test the water with a smallish order, to see what they amounted to. I assumed there maybe a few days or maybe even a week extra in the shipping process, but I wasn't expecting a month+ with still no sign of anything happening. On the plus side, it's opened my eyes to how poor UPS are and shall now actively avoid them, prior to this I had a perception that they were actually a good courier... -

I've been wondering the same thing, if it wasn't a hobby purchase I probably would of already raised it. But like you, treating this as a last resort, as I don't want to cause TWG issues as it's not their fault. UPS seem to be doing just enough to not "lose" the item, I had another Warehouse scan last night, mine's been at Stanford Le Hope since 19th ? -

Mine hasn't updated since 3rd March, (shipped 12th Feb). Last update was just a Warehouse Scan. Status is "Held in Warehouse", no fees paid. Have tried Customer Service a few times, clueless to what's going on and to contact sender. Expected some delay's, but just coming up to a month and no sign of anything happening soon. -

Had a prompt response from TWG: "All our packages are held in a warehouse in the UK and we are waiting for information from UPS" Assumingly it's UPS clearing the packages through customs. Not Taiwangun's fault at all, feel sorry for those guys as it must be impacting them. -

Anyone had any movement, my order (placed on 12th Feb), has not moved from the UK Warehouse since 23rd Feb... EDIT: just got off the phone to UPS, no help at all, other telling it hasn't been scanned since 23rd, as per the tracking I can see and to contact the shipper -
My "stuff" was getting everywhere, so I picked up a cheap secondhand bookcase and turned it into a Airsoft storage unit ?

Just to echo the other comments great quick service from AK2M4, new ZCI barrel and Maple Leaf rubber new fitted ?
