  1. Disclaimer: I have never been a fan of, liked the look of or, fired a Glock before.

I have been running a TM FNX-45 for a couple of years and whilst it performs fantastic, the lack of all the attachments I could possibly want lead me down the Glock path. Having spent too much time reading and going round in circles and back and forth between the GHK Glock 18 Gen 3, Gen 5 and the TM one, I decided to take a punt on the TM G17 Gen 5 MOS.

All I can say is wow, I absolutely love it. It fits and feels so much better in my hands, not small by any stretch of the imagination, than the FNX-45 did, which just felt a bit too big all round. I have only fired and played around with it briefly when it arrived at lunch time today. But, I am a convert!

    Now all those extras...... 🤣

  2. Hi all,

I recently got a second MWS; a TM Mk18 MWS which, knowing the issues with the barrel nut, the shops tech loosened it for me before sending it out. I also purchased the nut tool from Black Rifle.

Do you know if it's possible to swap the barrel nut/spacer that it comes with as standard, for these two, so that the handrail comes apart as it was originally intended to?

What do you guys think?  The windage and elevation dials aren't perfectly centered in the cutouts, but it looks straight to me.

I suspect my quick attempt to wedge the sight protector into place had pushed it askew (which doesn't say great things about the screws fitting the hood to the sight, but hey-ho)

Yeah, in the bottom pic it looks a lot better.

  4. I am in a similar situation to the OP in that this is the first time I wanted to get a classic Eotech style holographic site for an mk18 build.

I have bought this site off fleabay (yeah I know...) but from a looks point of view it was the closest to the Eotech and that was in stock, without spending hundreds of pounds. At this stage I am not sure if I like this style over the red dots I have but, this was for the look: SOTAC EXPS 3.0 Holographic Red Green Dot Reflex Sight XPS3 558 £63

It looks Ok but, there is a lot of distortion on the lens if you move your head/view point from the very center and I am considering sending it back but, again, no where has stock of the HW S1 in tan in stock which seems the best clone even at ~£140

I just stumbled across this very good comparison video which also backs the claim that, out of the ones tested, the HW S1 is the best:

  5. I ordered from them two weeks ago and it/they arrived without any issues.

I have used them before and never had any issues or with them responding when I have had a concern (only once).

  6. It is very tight. I ran 3 stick lipos and if you held two together and got the perfect @2 o'clock angle on the right tube and about 10 on the left tube with the other one you could just get them in.

I tried the Titan ones in hope, but they were just fractionally too wide, only maybe by 1 mm but it was enough that even with trying to trim the internal fins, they didn't fit.

I avoided jamming them down the main stock tube as I didn't want to touch the mosfet and fuse in there.

I have switched to a GBB now, so don't have to think about it anymore 😉

    good luck.

Actually the min max difference is the same 17-18 fps ;)

Only thing to watchout for with some gas routes is that they do not force the nozzle up.

    Hi all,

    Looking for some help, 😊

Just purchased my first GBBR, (MWS) used, however great transaction from a genuine gentleman. Test fired on the day of purchase and all ok, no issues or regrets running through my mind at all.

Absolutely in love with it, however this evening I tried a few rounds on semi auto, all ok, switched to auto and it jammed with say 5 .25 bbs in the inner barrel. I naturally used a cleaning rod down the business end to push them back out, (mag removed). However on the removal of said bb’s, out appeared a broken small O - Ring.

I have looked at the upper and lower receiver, it looks ok, but I do not know enough, and although I consider myself practical… I am not confident to start in the deep end and take it all apart.

I have put another mag through it after clearing the bb’s, and it seems to be running fine. Although it’s a dark evening and I have firing into a cardboard box on my top floor landing. So not sure of anything has happened to power or range etc , or even accuracy for that matter.

But knowing this O Ring has appeared, I feel I need to ask the question 🙋🏼‍♂️

    Appreciate any help in advance..

Even though this little initial speed bump has occurred, I know that the MWS is the way forward for me , even though I just spent a fortune on a new TM recoil with all the upgrades 🤦‍♂️🙄

thanks all , Best regards, Andrew

Could it be the o-ring that goes on the outside, on the end, of the inner barrel to stabilize it inside the actual outer barrel?

  9. Welcome to the forum and airsoft, you will love it, it's great fun and a chance to met some really nice people.

We just played at Skirmish Billiericay site for the first time this weekend and it's a great site with a good mix of game types and is well marshalled. They also have a great selection of kit and accessories onsite to hire or buy so you shouldn't need to worry about gear for your first game, other than a some decent foot ware with ankle supp if possible?

On the whole once the games get going everyone is really friendly and up for in game banter and laughs without taking it all too seriously.

  10. I had a pair of Salomon boots that were very heavily abused in all sorts of weather and walking/climbing and dog walking conditions. No joking, they failed after about 20-25 years after the soles of both boots starting coming away at the same time. Ironically at one of my first couple of airsoft skirmishes last year. Read in to that what you will 😆

I immediately replaced them with another pair of Salomon's, but I haven't worn them in to get them to slipper comfy state yet 😉

    Expensive, but awesome boots!
