Refit and keep checking before you put it back together. Make sure you pair the TNT with the crazy jet barrel
-
Yes. That’s because the MWS stock barrel has different shape. You need to run a h nub, like so That way you get a nice concave patch. I’m trying a trimmed down Laylax nub now for more contact area
-
I’d whole heartily reccomend the TNT TR bucking. Run them in My KC02, HK45 and the MWS and with brilliant results
-
@MikeL you do need a barrel adapter to fit an aftermarket rail. I had to order one from Asia. As 99% of stores are out of stock here in the UK. I’m now sitting on it trying to decide what rail I wanna run. So update on my hop set up. Been running a 300mm crazy jet. Which I’m now going to polish up. TNT TR 50 degree and element H nub. These are plastic. And would work far better than the stock nub. As they are solid. And are cheaper than the brass SIGX one several here are using. Problem is the TNT is a R hop style bucking. And would benefit a larger contact nub. I had a chopped down prommy bridge nub. Some gentle sanding with a needle file. And she fits. A little snug but still will release the tension when the hop is wound down. The element H nubs still worked great. But now I should get full potential out of the bucking.

I run red gas currently as its a bit chilly in the mornings. So im a bit worried it will raise the FPS over the limit if I run a longer tightbore. My FPS dropped with the 300mm Crazy jet. If I remember rightly, stock barrel is 250mm too

Searching about, this is the only Laylax (Prometheus) inner barrel I can find for the MWS. https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/laylax-rairakusu-m4a1-mws-603mm-custom-inner-barrell-250mm Action army do VSR barrels in 6.03 but im not 100% on their quality.

I run a R hop prommy in my G&G M4, and that was silly accurate with great range. Might head back down that route I think. I personally think the Crazy jets are just a gimmick of a barrel. Specially when running the HK45 its not very consistent at all
-
What barrel are you planning on running? I run crazy jets in both the MWS and my HK45, but over time they just dont seem to be all that accurate to me.
-
@marine You can modify VSR buckings and run a R hop on a bridged VSR barrel. Failing that theres always the TNT TR hop buckings which simulate exactly that. Its what I run and does well enough for me currently. Other than that there are the Maple leaf buckings. But their QC is rather hit and miss currently. Bonus action shot from the weekend. Believe it or not but both my P mags work superb!
-
Thanks for the advice, I’ll have to strip the mags down and pop the valves out for a clean and lube up. Also Firesupport currently have MWS magazines in stock. Just bought a pair. @rocketdogbert pray for no leaks!
-
Stored with a burst of Nuprol 2. Was using Nuprol 3 on a cold day. There not brimmed to the top with gas. But saying that I have stored mags from Pistols and my KC02 full of gas and never had an issue
-
Has any one had any issues with the exhaust valve (Knocker valve etc) leaking on their Marui mags? If mine are gassed up, and you hold them to ear you can hear them slowly popping away. Its not a massive leak. And the gas will stay in a long time. So its only just a tiny leak. This has happened in both my Marui mags

Ill probably shelf the idea of the BAD lever and stick to the good ol' M4 slap/thumb. Thanks for getting back to me @Wo1f on buffer tube depth
-
Real life or airsoft? Or both even?
-
Okay! So couple of goodies arrived today. These are not real steel. The sling plate was a okay fit. Doesn’t mesh up with the buffer tube very well unless I push on it while tightening the castle nut. Time will tell how it fairs in the strength department. now the BAD lever. Jesus Christ I’m happy it was cheap. “Some fetlling to fit”. Had to use a different screw as the one supplied was about to round off. Then Dremmel a good chunk out of it for the bolt stop to even work. Then had to unwind the stock tube 2 turns for it to catch with the Marui mags. The P mags wouldn’t lock back with it on. So a wasted adventure. I’ll try the Laylax one once I have better funds. In short. Don’t bother with the clone Magpul BAD lever. Get Laylax. At least that’s a sling point ticked off my list Apologise for the double post. But could some one crack their receiver in two and just tell me how many whole threads remain between the receiver and buffer tube please. Mine has two. Wanna make sure the tube is in the correct amount. Should of checked before hand...

Looks really nice! Different from the norm. I’ve decided to keep mine on stock rails til I work out my build. sopmod esk with a few tweaks. Have some updates tonight
-
The TNT TR hop buckings are superb. I run a 50 degree one with a Element H nub and its sending .28's happily nice and straight. Best first mod I ever did the rifle!
-
Well worth a watch if you're thinking of a different bolt.

Excuse my crummy post skirmish picture. But wow! My G&G M4 crapped itself, jammed the gearbox twice I a row. I think the Mosfet has gone bad. so I had to use the MWS, two mags for short skirmish games. Ran it on red and the performance was at perfect. The TNT hop has to be tweaked a little bit as it bedded in but the range and accuracy was brilliant for GBBR. And only have two mags made you really think before you shot. Cracking gun ❤️

Hmmm. Once I get hold of them next weekend ill have to a chrono check with them then.
-
@Wo1f Your Mk12 is gorgeous! I ordered 2 P mags from Milspec last week. Knowning Dad would be home I was sure they would be there for me after work. As usual life gave me lemons, he was dog walking, and they had to be signed for. Looks like If I run the MWS tomorrow its down to 2 Mags on that, and 5 on the HK45. Pistol as a primary any one? Be interesting to see if it works in the cold. Ive got some Nuprol 3 in case

TNT TR 50 degree, 300mm Crazy jet, Element H plastic nub. Similar to your brass one. All spares I had about. The SRS nub wouldnt fit with out modification to the nub or chamber. I couldnt be bothered with that. I lost about 20FPS but I had the hop dialled on slightly. Maybe the MWS doesnt suffer much compression. The TNT rubber has a thin wedge on the side. So Im praying it stays seated and straight.

Ohhhh yeah! Can’t wait to try this! Hopefully it will be more consistent and lift .28’s like a piece of cake!
