Update on Flamingo buckings: Needs a the Laylax hop unit to work really. The stock Marui unit just pushes down on the first part of the contact patch, and not the whole area, regardless of nub. How ever, What I can tell you these do fit the stock Marui barrels. I've fit one to my HK45 with a H plate, and it shoots just as good as the mod tan currently. Ill range test it at the field Sunday

Remember you can remove the fill valve from that brass fitting to make life easier. Does any one know if the MWS is happy using Bio bb's? Theres a site near me thats running a day game for tenner, but runs bio only. And my AEG's mosfet is dead. All I have is GBBR's and I'd want to run the MWS if I can.

All these MWS newbies are making me so happy! @itsme you should hear gas fizz out the fill valve, and the spit once full. Its quite an easy difference to spot. Gas with silicone is always a plus as it helps keep the O rings lubed up a bit better. And saves having to strip the mags and lubing the gaskets and knocker valves

Tell me about it! Done this job once before but with only flap blade screw drivers. I was rushing and got quickly frustrated. First mag I did I kept calm and composed and got it all done in one hit!

Green gas mod done. And finally service and tighten up the knocker valves so they don’t leak my precious gas! Very happy I got the right tool now. in response to @Davegolf yeah, I had the whole tube removed from the lower. She’s stuck in there good!

Out of interest, has any one had it where their recoil spring has become stuck inside the buffer tube? No amount of pulling (carefully not the stretch to much) nor twisting will break it free. Im a bit baffled. Its not detrimental. I can still use the gun.

LUBRICATE the threads! Bit of silicone grease will help. Don’t cross thread and don’t force it on. Make sure your using the right barrel nut. my PTS nut was rough to fit first but a smidge of grease every other removal makes it slip on easy. Could make a sexual joke but I won’t.

Very good day today with my freshly R hopped SRS and the MWS. Mod tan and super nub working brilliantly. Gave the MWS to a friend and he said it shoots like a laser!

A lot of hop units are different. So it may or may not work (tighter or looser fit) Had to ask this they day after I put mine back together. Other wise I could of checked on my AEG M4.

Had a test fire. Running stock barrel, Mod Tan bucking and my shimmed hop arm on ASG 0.28's Shoots well, but the bucking is still breaking in. Might need to go back in and tweak the bucking alignment. My garden is only so long so longer ranges I cant account for. But short range its shooting like a laser.

Got my SixG super nub. Was about to have a heart attack as the envelope was torn. Thankfully it was in a plastic bag.

@Davegolf gave many wise words of wisedom The Mod Tan bucking and the SixG nub are a popular choice. Just ordered mine. Buckings in the gun ready for bedding in. Its a worth while upgrade as the stock nub wont lift more than a .28 if your lucky. Personally I was using a TNT TR hop, Element H nub and 300mm maple leaf barrel but im fed up of left to right inconstancy. And how can you not skirmish it?! Its so satisfying! Summer is here and it is perfect for gas gun use!

So this week has been 1. Shimming the hop arm 2. Cleaning the bb runners? Ramp? For the P mags as they where jamming 3. Testing hop buckings. Tried the stock bucking and barrel with the plastic H nub. Far better than the TNT but that’s at short range. contacted Six gun smithing and had no response... but upset with that but will try again!

I tried a different bucking combo last weekend. All I can say is the madbull red with the stock barrel is terrible. Went back to TNT TR and the maple leaf and it was much more consistent. Albeit with a rushed rebuild and not 100% perfectly aligned. Ive decided to buy a modify tan bucking. And emailed SixG to buy their super nub. I wanna give this popular combo a try. So what inner barrels are people using with said bucking and nub? Stock, Prommy or other? Bucking is advertised to be 60-65 degree hardness. Hope it can lift a .28 in the cooler weather currently. Failing that ill use the Super nub with the TNT and see how that fairs.

I personally run 6 main mags. And 3 secondary. Seems to do me well enough. 5 might just cut it fine personally but that's down to you.

I think you need some more mags.

Out of interest, does any ones nozzle return spring twang? Mines obviously seen a few game days and some red gas on the cold days. Its started to do the old springy twang noise. Normal or is it about to let go?

Fit my PTS Centurion arms rail today. I was scared it wouldn’t work but she fitted happily 😍 awaiting the the rest of my parts to come. Magpul stock, pistol grip and fore grip. Ive also returned to the stock barrel and bucking to see how that fairs . Might go down prommy purple, prommy barrel job. Keep it simple

I find it just as entertaining when you move up to a group of people on your team, you start letting rip on the enemy, and your team snap their heads round in suprise not realising its a GBBR and how noisy it is. 😄

Really well explained. You can also see in the pictures the different cuts on the barrel windows as well. @[Rogues]Loki let us know how you get on with the S+ barrel. Bit of a interesting set up.

Mines just a 300mm GBB/VSR CJ barrel I had spare when I tried it in my Striker AS01 I think Tokyo Marui cut their stock barrels differently. So after market buckings dont work with their stock barrels. I tried to put a TNT bucking on a stock TM HK45 barrel and wouldnt fit at all. This is most likely due to a stock barrel, being designed to with with a bucking with a standard contact patch, not one like Maple leaf, or TNT.
