  1. Yeah I’d wait a while to see what the performance is like and the prices to come down a bit before I buy one. I might also wait for the CO2 version if that does become a thing.
  2. Interesting note in this article about a potential CO2 version of these Enfields from Ares.
  3. I mean S&Ts Enfield was originally priced at like £450, but then we get sites listing them for like 250-300 after the initial buzz, so I wouldn’t trust any prices for now and wait.
  4. Idk. If they can put out a gas rifle on par with something like the PPS Kar98, then could be even better than this and more realistic. But if it ends up just another standard G&G historic Gas rifle with crap performance then yeah maybe. Also this relies on Ares not making theirs perform like crap too and overpricing it to the moon.....
  5. No one makes Lee Enfield's for years, now they all come at once haha. Although knowing Ares, they will probably charge like £600 for it..... Though the No4T sniper version is ?
  6. Personally I would never put an optic on an SMLE. Historically this rifle was rarely scoped, and even though there was one sniper version it was not really favoured and rarely seen. An Enfield No4 on the other hand, i would love to see an airsoft version scoped one day (G&G im looking at you), but this isn't that model sadly. Also drilling some modern rails on this 100 year old rifle, is just a big no from me lol. But that's just my preference. If you really wanted it, at a push i would suggest this configuration but would be very difficult and expensive to fabricate.
  7. Advantage of gas is a much quieter, easier to pull and more realistic bolt action. However you may have problems in winter and have less rounds to hold, but shouldn't be unserviceable. Both have their positives and negatives. One of each i guess. I have the PPS gas Kar98K, which is an excellent rifle that really tuned me on to the idea of gas rifles.
  8. Haha yeah. Though i like that S&T went for the SMLE, while G&G are going for the No4. Hope they are still working on the No4 T sniper, that would be ideal for me.
  9. Found this vid on YT. Seems they are still working on it surprisingly. Also they have moved the gas port to the buttstock.

Not VFC, but just got this reply from King Arms.
  11. Anyone know if you need to lubricate the bolt at all (seems a bit stiff) or if it will just loosen up with use?
  12. Me too just now. Very much looking forward to it.
  13. Yeah man, never settle for something which is clearly overpriced. I always knew these were worth like £350 at the most (they are just a springer after all in a nice body) so was a clear no until i saw more realistic prices. Unfortunately these people know how much demand there is for Enfield's so will ramp up the price unnecessarily any chance they get, as they know people get exited and will pay way overprice to finally have one of these.... I'm not so sure about that. All their other S&T rifles have sold for about that price or less. So I'm pretty confident it will stay.
  14. Patrolbase have them "coming soon" up for £299.99. Much more reasonable price! https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/s-and-t-airsoft-lee-enfield-rifle-no-1-mk-iii-bolt-action-rifle
  15. Trench airsoft are releasing this soon. Check out Swift airsoft for more info. Trench airsoft are releasing this soon. Check out Swift airsoft for more info.
  16. With the S&T Enfield releasing now, I was wondering if anyone had info on the G&G No4, if it’s still even a thing?
  17. Well that sucks then. Guess i will have to pass on this then as just another overpriced airsoft Enfield.
  18. I hope so. Always seems to be the case with Enfield's... Jacked up extortionate prices for sub par rifles because they know people are dying for Enfields on the market so will pay...
  19. £450 seems a bit pricey considering their K98s and other spring rifles are like £250-350. Annoying as i was hoping this would finally be the affordable and skirmishable spring Enfield we all wanted....
