My mukker came down from Inverness to visit this weekend We had been playing paintball side by side since the early 90’s so have good comms and knowledge of what the other is going to do. I got him into Airsoft about 5 years ago, and have been playing again together when we get the chance, obviously being a 3 hour drive away from me is a hassle. So he came down and we visited Battle Zone just on the north side of Edinburgh. The first couple of warm up games showed issues with non hit takers, so a little extra “love” had to be sent to them to let them know to stick their hands up ? it continued into game 4 of the morning, then the marshals announced a zero tolerance for non hit taking, intending to drag the culprit out of the game and stop them playing the rest of the day. (A few of them are known repeat offenders apparently) This dramatically improved the game play, funnily enough the offenders themselves stopped playing and sat and sulked in the safe zone until their parents/uber came to collect them at the end of the day. With the knobber’s no longer interested in playing, the sportsmanship massively enhanced, the games were superb, and my chum and I were on top form and worked like a proper small unit. (propaby helped by watching 13 hours - secret soldiers of Benghazi at 5:30 am before leaving for a proper buffet breakfast on the way to the site ?) Only one technical issue for me was my shots half way through the day started going haywire, had a Quick Look whilst under fire and somehow I was experiencing Muzzle Strike on my supressor (QD Angry Gun Surefire clone) So off it came, and my accuracy was restored. Cracking day, finished off with a lovely Chinese take away. Im hurting today, back & legs and woke up with a stinking sore head proving that I’m still not taking in enough fluids . Silly boy! But showed some of the kids that two duffers in their 50’s can still keep it up with them ?

It’s a shame that manufacturers don’t include npas as standard, as its genuinely a necessity (unless you are stateside where fps limits are much higher than ours) An opportunity I suppose for extra revenue for them, but really, would it kill them to install and charge like an extra £30? ??‍♂️

Keep your mags as close to you body to keep them as warm as possible. Make sure you have a hop rubber soft enough for dealing with the cold. To be fair, this weekend looks unseasonably warm, forecast for 11 deg here on Sunday ?

I hardly ever pull my pistol out of its holster, I only carry it due to engagement distances Me being a lardy, I seem to get taken out of the game before I’m close enough! My faithful tm g17 & emg hi capa, both work fine with .28’s My EmmmmmKaaaay - 23 which was heavily modified, would overhop anything below .4’s!! ( @The_Lord_Poncho )?

Ultrair green is my go to Its got zero silicon content, so won’t jigger your hop rubber Never had a hassle with mag maintenance yet

Strangely enough, the L1A1 mags look slightly different, appears there is a seam running down the entire length, and the mag retention notch looks slightly different

Yeah, I run a ghk m4 or the Sig I have 6 mags for the m4 - 35ish rounds each, the Sig I only have 4 mags for , they are 30 rounds each and super expensive to import from HK or Taiwan, so filling up as I go along is really the way The Odin with the adapter is good but it’s just too bulky for my dangler pouch at the front, so a smaller one is the way forward, it’s just getting feedback as the one I showed in the image above has a design flaw and jams almost every time They are total poop for gbbr mags as more force is needed to push in at a squonky angle

Thanks bud Its made by Torrey Pines I’ve never heard of them before, it’s long been discontinued But I feel I got it for a fair price, Doubt I’ll try it in the wet winter as I don’t know how IP rated it is. But makes sense that it’d be most effective on cold days

Thanks dude I was helping my buddy out, it’s his and got delivered to me ? Hes got an Ares also, but for some reason wanted a KA version. I couldn’t tell you the differences between the two of them. Hes got Ares mags , so fingers crossed for him Struggling to find KA mags for this in stock anywhere

Now the challenge is to find mags for it ?
