Tfw you are explaining why heavier objects have more inertia than lighter ones, but the guy is basically a flat earther and doesn't believe in physics

There was a study done by some Belgian guys, they tested a wide (60ish) variety of guns with different hops, different power sources, different energy output, they tested about 11 brands of various weight bbs and done a fuckload of maths to come up with 0.33g being the "best" weight that gave the best compromise between range, time to target and consistency.

i do agree with the 0.3g range being a good compromise, but i have (being a mad bastard) ran .48's in an assault gun and it is supremely effective once you mentally block out the "ker ching" noise your wallet makes every time you pull the trigger.
but these days i tend to run .32's as my baseline ammo because money is a thing and keep the .48's for the dragonuv because if i'm only gonna have 80 shots total it's not so expensive

As said there will be variations depending on power/energy...
CQB 300fps then yeah 0.20 ~ 0.25
DMR/Sniper on 425/450fps to propel heavier ammo
but reckon 0.12's are unlikely to be used much
unless maybe if you are running Germany's sub 250fps limit
for auto peew peew but reckon they'd fly everywhere
and may not be felt unless the Germans play naked airsoft
Kinky...
