  2. A good find. Sounds like it'll be almost a drop in fit (if I'm lucky)
  3. Has anyone here used the g&p SPR front end? https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/gp-spr-full-front-set-kit-for-marui-mws-gbb How hard are they to fit, compared to say a Mk18 rail?
  4. Took out the mws to clean it. Found out why I was having issues. Luckily I’d bought an angry gun full nozzle kit. Removed the old tm one and installed the AG full nozzle kit. Only issue is I couldn’t find a firing pin o-ring on the TM one. When I tried to fit the AG one I couldn’t get it to fit with the AG o ring. I’m assuming it’ll be ok for my next game (This Sunday), but otherwise should I source a thinner o ring, or will I get away with leaving it as is?
  5. I've been there, only the once though. Site is set in a valley, with a lot of paintball arena style kit about. Big bridges and suchlike. Pros - Covered safe zone, proper toilets (with power and everything). Pizza delivered to site for lunch. Really well organised, games were well varied and thought out, marshalling throughout the game I found to be on the whole (however, see below) - good. Cons- Possibly harsh to blame the site, I don't know, but when I was there we had a ND with a loaded gun. BB just missed my mates eye. There was a rebriefing to everyone, followed by a warning that the next ND would result in the offender kicked off site. Less than 2 mins later, another ND. Offender was not even told off this time.
  6. Took the MWS out today for it's first game since I've fitted the new Brass nub. I found I wasn't able to reach out as far as my MP7 GBBR. Tried .36 and .32. running predator ultra, at 250 fps with the .36 neither were working well with max hop on. Is there something I'm missing/not doing to achieve at least the range of my MP7? Everything is stock inside, except for said brass nub.
  7. Went straight on. Probably about as easy as changing a ris rail would ever be. There was a shim that came with the barrel nut (which I’d not noticed when I opened the box, and had lost, for a bit). Once you’ve got the gold coloured shim on, the nut screws straight on and then you slip the rail over it. Tighten the grub screws and push the two bolts in. It was pretty easy. Worst thing for me was disassembling the mws itself, everything was threadlocked so needed a bit of welly to get it all apart.
  8. Ordered a mk16 rail from Hao directly, took a week to arrive from Taiwan. Finally got the guts to open up the mws, installed a sixg brass nub and fitted the new rail (not too bad to fit, even for a complete novice with gbbrs). Really happy with how it’s looking now.
  9. Both great guns. MP9 has slightly bigger mag capacity at 48 rounds, and is loud as all hell. Also as others have noted, you'll probably want a CQB bolt or somesuch to use in the UK, stock gun struggles to lift over .28 (in my experience anyway) MP7 range is about as good as you can expect from a stock gbbr, will outrange an MP9 stock, and will lift heavier ammo. I generally run .32's in mine, and get a lot of range for such a small gun!
  10. Best solution I’ve found for glasses are the Guard Dog Evader 2’s https://www.specs4sports.co.uk/evader-2-over-glasses-goggles--black-frame-clear-lens-5515-p.asp Myself and most of my airsofting bespectacled chums all use them now. As for fogging, they’re about as good/bad as any other goggle. The only thing I’ve ever found, over many years of trying to stop fogging is exfog.
  11. Got this today & 3 extra mags. Will spend time this week installing a bcm grip, brass nub and some other external parts. How many mags do folks generally run for a day? I’m thinking if I grab one more to take it to 5 in total, that should be enough.
  12. Joined the MWS club today. Skirmish day on Sunday, can’t wait to try it out!
  13. I should be receiving my 1st MWS CQBR this time next week, in the meantime I've been slowly grabbing bits to tart it up with. That said I'm a bit of a noob with GBBR's so I'm hoping someone can help with a couple of questions. I've read through the whole thread, but I'm just after some confirmation. I'm still deciding if I'll turn the CQBR into a MK18 or an URGI, if I go the MK18 route, I'm guessing that one of these https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/madbull-mk18-95-inch-daniel-defense-sopmod-iiris-ii-desert-tan and https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/pts-adapter-ring-for-marui-m4-mws-gbb plus a few washers for the screws for the rail would be ok? As for a mk16, if I grab the Z-Parts 9.3" handguard, I'm guessing I don't need anything else to make it fit?
  14. Had a quick blast with it in the garden. Grouping was appalling, was misfeeding badly too. Took it apart, tear in the stock rubber! Good thing I was planning on swapping it out anyway. Put the ML Yellow in there, works a treat now. Snappy trigger on a 7.4, I don't feel like I need to put an 11.1 in there. Will give it a proper go on Sunday.
  15. Mine arrived today. I’m almost certain to get into trouble as I was meant to be thinning the collection! Planning on chucking in a ML hop rubber and nub as I’ve got a spare one hanging around. Otherwise I’m quite impressed, seems like a lot of gun for little money, I’m wondering what the catch is?
  16. Don’t wanna name, but it’s in the SW. I’ve since been told by other folks that these few players have put others off going back in the past. In fairness to the site I’ve been there a few times and every other time I’ve been there the marshalling and players were excellent. I’ll chalk it down to an off day for now.
  17. How did my day go? Well I think I've come the closest ever at a skirmish to hitting someone. 3 guys in a tower, shot repeatedly at about 10-15 meters range on full auto, not acknowledging their hits. Even arguing with the marshall when he was telling them he saw them get hit. Finally they gave up (ran out of ammo I believe), after I'd guess 20 mins of just being shot at. Left the tower, and said to the 10+ guys who'd been shooting them "unlucky guys". How they didn't get chinned I've no idea. Ran into the same guys constantly throughout the day, who refused to take hits at various times. Saw lots of my team leave at lunch time due to the cheating, made the games after lunch even more difficult. On the plus side, I tried out a new leaf suit ghillie which worked really well, and when i wasn't encountering the pack of cheaters had a good time.
