  1. No,this spring is slightly longer than the original?
  2. As title, upgraded the spring in my TM NGRS MP5 and now I'm getting a slight "Twang" sound when firing the gun (used a CTEK 330fps spring for ngrs). I know one of my options is to try a spring from another manufacturer but I've read one way to reduce this noise it to fit a bearing spring guide. Is there any compatible spring guides on the market at the moment apart from the WiiTech one? After reading a bit more, seems like maybe a V3 AK spring guide will fit? Anyone have any ideas? Cheers!

As title Full gate eon gearbox. Only a couple of weeks old only used for testing but won’t fit the gun I wanted to put it in without modification to the riff (Krytac) but did drop into a VFC HK416 (Tested). Honestly the trigger response and ease of use of the gate app is excellent. The built in Bluetooth is game changer. Comes with expert firmware preinstalled and has a 2 year warranty from Gate. I have now purchased a TM NGRS so this needs to go so I can fund the upgrades to that gun Also have a couple of gate hop units for sale in other thread. postage included but PayPal fees will need to added. Collection welcome (Hull). Thanks for looking

  7. Check you have active braking set, could be the motor over spinning. Do you have a 7.4v Lipo to try?
  8. Hi All, So I bought the new Gate Eon Full Gearbox (Got it for a decent price so cant complain about that but I'll still complain.) Sooooooooo, I read a post that listed (from a gate employee) comaptibility with AEG's out there one of which was Krytac, so being a trusting sort of a guy I thought I'd take the plunge and get it ordered. So box arrives, opens it and to be fair it's nice, and went to install into the LVOA. Fire selector will not fit, Krytac have holes cut into the gearbox shell for the gears to fit, the EON does not. The EON selector plate fits flush to the gear box body so even if I modified the gear (Filing the bottom of the gear so it can sit flush with the gearbox recess) the actual gear would not fit under the selector plate. So that's a no-no. Also in the instructions for the gearbox it states that "The spring guide must be screwed to the replica's receiver. Shooting when the spring guide is not properly screwed on or not screwed at all, may cause damage to the gearbox, which is not covered by the warranty." You cant do this with the Krytac, even if I was to get a longer screw to go through the buffer tube, the thread on the spring guide is smaller (Option is to retap and thread? would that void warranty? I'm waiting from a response from gate) . So as you can probably guess, much dissapoint. So, I'll install it in my secondary (Old VFC HK416D) fire selector fits! (YEY!) mag release does not (Boooo!) it's one of those that you have to push in and screw mag release button onto the actual arm (It's doesnt use an actual screw if you get me), the gear box gets in the way so you cant push the mag release arm in far enough. Anyways I'm describing it poorly Next issue...the buffer tube screw, again thread to thick to secure the spring guide but got everything thing assembled and setup and it fires really nice...I've got a stand alone Titan 2 bluetooth (one of the new ones) that I installed in another build and thought I'd done a pretty good job with my shimming etc but the gate factory build is just a lot crisper (using same motor and battery) so yeah, the gearbox is nice but not without fitting issues on 2 guns, which I thought where compatible. I maybe able to change the fireselector on the Krytac but it was'nt money that I'd factored in and feel a pissed off to be fair but meh what can you do. I'll update the thread when I get a reply from Gate. Oh and the Hopup, well built, looks nice, does not work in the VFC not matter what I tried, about 60fps lower than stock , double feeding, just a shit show,. I've tried measuring the distances with calipers to get it as near as I can, used cut down springs instead of the supplied orings for spacing, I've used thicker and thinner o rings for spacing and still cant get the thing to work in the gun (I'm not a top tier tech but I've exhausted the time I'm willing to put in to get it to work) The thinking of GATE hop and Gate gearbox match made in heaven I have disproven, well for my VFC your mileage may vary. So, I justed needed to vent. The gearbox is nice mine came with the Expert firmware installed which is capped to 25bps (you can bypass this but it negates your 2 year warranty which is part of the reason I got the gearbox). It's snappy and consistant (warhead highspeed motor) but not without it's niggles which I can hopefully get some answers from Gate. Cheers if you took the time to read
  9. Thanks all for the replies! I do like the cosplay side of airsoft hence carrying everything but the kitchen sink My knee is looking like cartilage damage (3 weeks and still slighly swollen on the outer side) so deffo need a visit to a professional 😕 I'm not seriously overweight though losing a couple of pounds wouldn't go amiss (6ft 13 Stone 8 if I breath out ) . Looking at my rig and the positioning of the mags etc a lot of the weight is directly over my left knee so redistribution is on the cards I think. I use HSGI double tacos, so may switch to singles or just take two mags out. And 2 TRMR'S is just overkill I think? I have two SWAT tactical timed grenades that I gave to my lad and they are so much lighter I may have to sell the TRMR's and get a couple more of them...Still toying with the idea of the chest rig though as that should reduce the amount of stuff I carry by not giving me the space to carry it Thanks again everyone for taking the time out to reply, really appreciate it!
  10. Thanks so much for the reply! It really does help with my choices! The knee pain has been a long time coming. I just chose to ignore it so maybe time to visit some one and ahve it checked out! I'll take everything you've written onboard sir and update here with what I eventually went with! I agree with footware and always run high quality boots...but I suppose age catches up with all of us and now its just damage limitation
  11. Hi all, With my age rapidly moving on (50) and over the years having a pretty damanding worklife I've started to develop niggles and pains I didnt have before namely my left knee! I know that the main answer is to lighten my load and carry the minimum at all times which I'm looking to do going forward and even wear a knee support on game days but is there any rig that distributes weight better? My firing position always favours the left leg forward so that takes the most strain, I run a battle belt with yoke and I'm just curious to whether a chest rig (Mayflower or Warrior Assault 901) would distribute the weight better? I usually carry 4 hicap mags, 2 TRMR, pistol, bottle of BB's water bottle, pistol and two pistol mags and radio. I know this seems a lot but some of the fields I play the games go on for a long time and reverse so you can be out for well over an hour. So does anyone have any ideas? or is it just a case of reduce what I carry and it doesnt matter what rig I use? Thanks in advance!
  12. Cheers for that will gestimate what size I need looking at one with an intact tube! Don’t suppose you have info on what you use as the clear tube that protects the fibre optic do you? I was thinking maybe the heat shrinkable tubes they use for splicing but not sure? May have found something! Thanks again!
  13. I own a few Acog replicas with the fibre optic tube. One of my faves (wider field of view and greater magnification) Has lost its fibre optic tube and was wondering if there’s any where to get a replacement or if it’s possible to make my own? Or even if anyone has a smashed Acog with intact fibre they’re willing to sell? thanks in advance!
  14. What about when your UKARA was issued from one site but is now closed and you now play at another? Do you keep your number or do you have to reregister?
