  1. I ordered a set of grips for my KJW M9. Took about four weeks as they were out of stock. Not bad if you need bits and don't mind a couple of weeks wait.
  2. Heh, Land Warrior is my go-to place if I need something. I was mainly asking because I was going to be in the area. Thanks though.
  3. Hi guys, I'm going down to Newcastle at the weekend to do some Xmas shopping in the town centre and the Metrocentre. Are there any Airsoft related shops still in or near the town centre? I know there was a shooting shop near the train station that did some Airsoft stuff before lockdown, but that seems to have gone. I know there's "Kommand Outdoors" that does some decent surplus stuff, but I'm wondering if there's anything else. Thanks.
  4. Hi guys, got anothet stupid question. I was looking at the group Cronoarms, and was thinking of buying their Northstar kit for my Hi-Capa. I was looking at some of the instruction manuals, and the one for the Endshot says not to rest the gun upright as it will break the hook on the bottom. I was concerned that the kits were somewhat fragile, so I looked up Youtube, but there's no review vids, most are of people using the guns. Has anyone here used one of their kits, and how are they? Thanks.
  5. That's the thing - I'm using it in a costume game where I don't have a vest on. I have a dump pouch and a speedloader, but that's about it. I was hoping to use a sling holder to reduce what I have on my belt. Sorry, should have mentioned it before. Thanks for the suggestions though, I'll look into them for using with a vest.
  6. Hi guys, hoping someone can help me with this. I just got a SPAS-12 for a game on the 6th November, and am looking for a shotgun sling with shell holder. I have 13 shells to use. There's one by some company called "Boosteady" on Amazon, but there's some reviews that say it's not that great. If anyone's used them, I'd like to know. There's one I've seen by G&P, but it looks like it was meant for their old mag-fed shotguns and only has 6-7 slots for mags. I have seen a Blackhawk one, but I can't find anyone nearby that has it in stock, so I might have to make an order through Brownells. Are those my best options? I'd appreciate any advice.
  7. I like his videos. Laughed my arse off when he was commenting on the flaws with the PSG-1 he had to rebuild. Got to admit, I was tempted to send him one of my projects to fix.

    TM SPAS-12

THIS ADVERT IS 'UNCOMPLETED' - THIS MEANS THE ADVERTISER HASN'T BUMPED THIS LISTING, BUT IT COULD STILL BE WORTH CONTACTING THEM.

I'm looking for a TM SPAS-12 to add authenticity to a Halloween game costume. With or without folding stock, I may be able to get hold of a third-party stock but it won't fit the other SPAS on the market because of differences in the grip. Preferably umodified externally. Not bothered about extras, though shells would be welcome. Thanks for taking a look.

This is kind of a long shot (heh), but I thought I'd try. I managed to use my Uzi for the first time a few months back. It stopped working after three hicaps. Nearby techie opened it up and said the sector and spur gears are shredded due to the piston rack sitting too far back. (honestly don't know anything about AEGs, so not sure what that meant.) Looking to see if anyone has spares they'd be willing to part with.

    NO VALUE SPECIFIED

  10. I wanted that rifle. Ended up getting a Kart EBR as a freebie to use as a base before trying the weight and giving up. Wouldn't mind a G11. Impractical as hell but so cool. I would like to see a Bolter or Bolt Pistol. Armorer Works said they'd look at it if they got permission. I had written a letter to GW asking them to consider it, but don't know if I'd have any luck.
  11. Why did you start airsoft? I found out about springer pistols on holiday, and I liked guns, so I looked about and found a hobby shop near me that sold them. Never really bought one since that was when neds with springers were still a thing, but found out about SMK and "softair". Did a search online and found UKAN forums. Saw there was a hobby about using airsoft guns responsibly and was hooked. Started collecting with some cheap pistols and then eventually got into the game when VCRA came in. What do you like about airsoft The guns, lol! Seriously though, I love the sense of community here and at sites. Everyone's happy to talk about loadouts, guns or how to use equipment. Especially for someone like me who typically doesn't have a clue how some things work. What don't you like about airsoft (not including KM or non hit taking, something more substantial please) Back when I started, I saw stuff like AR-18s and Muzzelites. Today, it seems like most of the releases are about making every flavour of AR-style rifle. I love that we're getting stuff like the PP2K and the MG4, but I'd like to see a few different weapons from time to time. Do you think airsoft has any health benefits I.e keeping you fit etc I'd say that the game does work as a form of exercise, but on it's own I'd say it isn't frequent enough. It does make you think about fitness though - I was looking at some weights for improving my arms. Mainly because I want a LMG in the future and I'd like to be able to carry it without getting all puffy.
  12. I saw your project pics, nice work on the slide. I have an old NBB version too, but the laser grip doesn't fit it.
  13. Thanks, was going in that direction tbh. This should be fun, I haven't done anything like this before.
  14. Sorry, should have clarified. The kit I got was the version without the external controls, which was why I was considering the Nickel model. This is the one: Airsoft Global
  15. Hi guys, it's another silly question from me. I managed to get a Mafioso Arms Hardballer kit and laser from Airsoft Global. Took a while since they had to replace the kit, but it came in the end. I'm looking at working on the build for the end of this year, but I'm not sure what 1911 to use for a donor gun. I was thinking of using the Nickel Colt MK4 Series 70 from Marui, since the kit it supposed to be Marui compatible. Would this work okay, or is there a 1911 that would work better?
  16. Hi guys, was hoping someone could help with this. I've been using a CA SA58 for the last few years that I bought second hand. Wonderful gun, but it was missing the front sling loop. I've managed so far with a sling that can put a hook through one of the foregrip holes, but I don't think it's a good idea to keep doing that. I've looked, but can't find anywhere that does specific parts for the Sa58. I tried searching for the actual part number, but that just brought up the manual again. Does anyone know somewhere that I can buy specific spares for this gun? Thanks for reading, sorry if it's the wrong place.
  17. Kind of both for me. my TR16 was the first M4 type gun I owned, and it was a little easier to use than the MP5 I had - it was certainly easier to put in a battery! That alone pushed it to the frequent use pile right away. After eight years (IIRC), the only complaint I've had was that the hop pulled to the left after about 30-40 metres, which was fixed with the hop upgrade.
  18. Probably my G&G TR16 Short. Got it for a Fallout Vault 34 costume for the Halloween game, loved it so much I decided it was the one. Eventually got parts to make a Marksman Carbine out of it. Just got the All-American style paintjob and engraving done last year. Only internal upgrades are a flat hop mod and tightbore barrel. Still shoots like a dream, and I get people telling me it sounds great on full-auto.
  19. Yeah, I've used Scopeandlaser for the 1000rd hicaps. They're good, but shipping takes a while.
  20. Hi guys, need advice, I'm selling a pistol and I just noticed on another topic that Parcel Force is out as far as posting RIFs. Can somebody tell me the best company to ship with at the moment? Thanks.
  21. Did a once-over on all my guns. Silicone grease, maintenance gas, checking seals etc. Planned the eventual locker setup in the garage. Bought Weaver-to-Weaver adapters for my M37 to make it into a Masterkey. Got bored and decided to see what the Masterkey would look like on the SGR12. Looking at buying a KPS if I can get the 1911 gone. Thinking of making another build, maybe turning a 1928 Thompson into a Skitarii Arc Rifle. Nothing really interesting here.
  22. I bought mine for various guns from games and movies I wanted, or as close as I could get. G&G TR16 Short - Bought for a Halloween Game costume from Fallout New Vegas. Now upgraded into an "All-American" homage. CA SA58 - Based my black loadout on Tanith Ghosts, it looked like a good lasgun analog. G&G P90 (now sold) - Halloween again, went as Chief Tyrol from BSG. G&G TR4 Viper - MGS Patriot homage. Used a G&P frontend. TM SGR12 - "Abomination" from Monster Hunter novels.
  23. Thanks. I've tried my Nuprol batteries in other guns with the same result. At this point, I think I should try and get another brand. Can anyone recommend a battery that will fit the SGR?
  24. Hi guys, I had a game a couple of weeks ago where I brought my new SGR12. Given the limited battery space, I bought two Nuprol 1100mAH Lipos, and charged them with a Nuprol charger. The thing is, I barely made it through the warmup, as the battery ran out of charge about 2/3 of the way though a drum. I saved the other battery for the last game, and it ran out about the same time. The charger instructions said that the lights on it would go green when charging is complete, which was less than an hour. This doesn't sound right, as it's a 800mA charger. Is it a hardware issue, or have I bought the wrong battery? Thanks for the help.
