  1. Microswitch triggers go some way to giving you a proper break but it's still got nothing on a GBBR trigger
  2. Dunno about 600 but it's pretty fucking bright. Must have misremebered the price but there was an identical one for £50. Pays to shop around https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/401558273429?_trksid=p2380057.m570.l5999&_trkparms=gh1g%3DI401558273429.N36.S1.R2.TR5
  3. I picked one up off eBay recently for ~£50 and it's great. 600 lumens, sharp beam, solid build quality and tactile switches
  4. Well the M249 has turned from a do up jobe to a full blown restoration. First on the list is a new steel bipod mount to replaced the mulched aluminium one. Next is a new rear upper receiver pin. I've been searching but not found anywhere with one in stock. Any help locating one would be much appreciated.
  5. Well it's bee stripped down and it's not too bad. It's been abused and neglected but most of the problems are easy fixes. The state of the grease in the gearbox is disgusting and the quick change spring fell out at some point and wasn't put back so the spring is bent. Other than that new motor, piston, cylinder and TDC R hop mod on the hop up and it should be good for 25 rps out to 70m. A lot of the details need work though, the cocking handle assembly isn't an assembly anymore, the aluminium bipod mount has been chewed up by the stamped steel bipod, the locking assembly for the top heat shield has been bent out of shape as has the feed ramp. All the steel parts have surface rust so need stripping, cleaning up, in th case of a couple reshaping and repainting. Needs a new rear body pin and a new set of screws and various bits tightening up and it'll rock.
  6. Rescued a very beat up old Classic Army M249 Para. Needs a lot of work and a complete rebuild internally.
  7. Good point. I have a thing for guns that are barely longer than the optic as it gives it a really aggressive hunched look. I'm the guy who ran an ARP-9 with a short dot though so maybe I'm just a mong with a crush.
  8. Short dot would look sexual on that I'm thinking
  9. That looks like one of those dogs with the super short tails
  10. Apparently I hate having money in my bank account because I just bought a new scope mount and 12" skeletonised M-LOK rail.
  11. Well it's been a bloody long time coming but I finally got myself a WAS Recon along with WAS triple double mag pouches and a single double. Already loaded up with as much as I can fit on it. So glad I made the leap because my old condor PC doesn't stand up against it.
  12. I've learned everything I know from watching, talking to and helping out my dad as he worked it out as he went. We both got into it at the same time and both have an interest and understanding of engineering along with my dad's career in various engineering jobs. Best way to learn a skill like this is to watch, help and learn from someone who really knows what they're doing, multiple if possible as everyone has their preferred methods, techniques and parts and the wider variety of skills you learn the better you will be. If there was a course in it there is only so far it could take you. You can get taught what to do and how to do it but unless youre learning why you're doing it and given the chance to make mistakes there's only so good you can get.
  13. Finally got my old two tone WE Sig 226 painted and Doctor sight mounted. Next is some internal upgrades and a touch and maybe a tracer.
  14. Update. The boots arrived and holy shit they're the most comfortable things I've ever worn. Lesson learned buy good boots. They're so worth the money and no comparison between them and my crap £50 boots I still had from cadets.
  15. FRV Tailoring shooters belt and some decent hard knuckle gloves. WAS Recon to follow. EDIT And a pair of Altberg tabbing boots because I apparently can't be allowed to have money in my account. Thank God I don't have a credit card
  16. How much are you hoping to spend? I picked this one up for £35 but you'll be hard pressed to find them for less than £90 now and that doesn't include the mount.
  17. Thanks for the heads up. I was wondering if that might be a problem
  18. It's a BSA AD1 1-4X short dot. It's a great scope but you're looking about £90 plus a mount. I got lucky they were selling them for £35 when I got it.
  19. It's amazing how such a small thing really completes a gun. Got a bunch of PTS mag pull mag floorplates and it looks so much better
  20. I saw this and my only thought was Jesus Christ another one
  21. Whoever said I don't take airsoft seriously enough was right...
  22. Just got some extra pistol mags and a couple of taco pouches. Time for some pistol only runs I think.
  23. BTC Chimera for an upcoming bullpup project. Actually amazed I managed to get one. They're basically unicorn shit these days
