  1. Just gotten my gear out of long term storage, been away from it for about 3 years ish, what’s the points to check/replace before play. Haven’t gassed it up yet or anything just looking ahead.

clean it out, relube, I imagine the bucking won’t have enjoyed itself? Will it need replacing or?

    cheers

  2. Looking for a friend who’s no longer in the country. He has (well I have it now) a KWA Vector in so far as I can tell good nick, internal wear is minimum, it’s not been used in over a year, closer to two, and saw rare use before then.

it has one 50rd mag, one short, possibly 25/30rd mag, a laser(I think) in the torch/laser port, this doesn’t work as we could never find batteries for it AFAIK, and it has a Hephaestus recoil kit in it.

original box but it has seen quite a bit of wear (read target practice). Gun fires and cycles as it should, all modes work. No manual and no hop key. Anyone able to give me a rough idea on pricing?

    cheers

  3. Is the freeze up issue with the KWA a known thing? Or is it just because I’ve got th Hephaestus recoil kit in mines? It came with the kit already so I don’t have the original parts to swap back in but it freezes open occasionally and the recoil mechanism seems to jam now and then. The lube I cleaned out was like gum when I got it so idk if it’s done lasting damage.  None that I can see but I have this jamming issue

    cheers

  4. I'm just wondering if anyone could offer some advice. I've read that the Stock triggers are made from something akin to a hard cheese a few times, but mines has fired around 6k bbs and only just started double firing. Is it worth to replace it with another Stock unit? Or go steel? My understanding is that steel will increase wear on other parts, causing them to wear out faster and need replaced

    Thank you

  5. You need to be ready to spend a decent amount of money to get that true infinite depth from the parallax free ones. Skimp and it'll ghost or - worse - it'll break altogether on your GBBR.

I could probably go a little over £100 without being lynched, anymore will need a lot of sweet talking aha.. Any pointers are defintely welcome!

  6. Sorry if this is hijacking, but, even though its not strictly necessary, does anyone know of any decent and not stupidly expensive parallax free/corrected sights out there? I've tried a WE EoTech clone and its all over the place, and I doubt the cheaper ones would live long on my GBBR

    Cheers

  7. I'm just wondering what you guys have found to be a better gas for GBBR's in winter? I've used the nuprol 3.0 with terrible results, standard green gas gives decent results but after a few fills the performance drops off, I'm hesitant to try the nurpol 4.0 but I have heard that its a better gas for cold temps, just wondering what you guys have found works and gives decent results for a full days play.

    Cheers

  8. I fitted a winter spring and a new bucking and barrel in my m4 tonight and while I was firing it, it jammed with a broken bb. I pulled it apart and cleaned it out and noticed that the bit around the nozzle that looks like the m4s locking lugs has cracked and is lose. Anyway, long story short, there's two different ones on milspec. One has a flat opening and one has a slanted opening at the loading end. The one in my gun is slanted but is there a better one to use?

Edit: also, could the weaker spring have caused it to misfeed and break a bb? Or is this just part of the joys of airsoft guns?

    Thanks
