Like I said, I just wanted to know. I'm not looking for anything from it, I'm not seeking a goal. I'm simply asking a question.
I didn't know if it was by posts or time scale, or if you have to be a supporter.
Asking google would surely contradict your post because as you said, every forum is different? This is the reason why I asked about this forum, on this forum.

I need to sort out my holographic, I was aiming at a caravan window, on site, don't worry, and could see that the bbs were ending up to the right and down...
Without the sight I can see the bbs traveling pretty straight so I know it wasn't the wind causing this all the time. Anytime I looked down my sight I was shooting off target.
My sight has windage and elevation adjustments so I'm hoping these actually work.
Has anyone got a good method for getting it close to accurate? I tried a bit yesterday but really couldn't do much with the wind and that fact I was in and out of games.

Quick update on what I said above, I got a chance to use it yesterday (if anyone is interested):
No click from trigger at all anymore.
324fps to 330fps with new barrel.
No more double feeding (Using 7.4vs compared to 11.1vs is the only change)

As far as I know (don't own an ICS but will do very soon) the gun needs to be put into safe or potentially the forward assist needs pressing to release the gear tension and set the gearbox into a state where it can be split and go back together. Its a problem particular to ICS and this split gearbox, the normal whole gear box has the other problem of pieces flying about when opened and its under tension!
PS Long barrels != range or accuracy in airsoft. Lengthening the barrel for a DMR will also mean you need a new cylinder to match the air volume, you can't just do the look as it will impact performance of the gun and its accuracy to not match the air volume.
I went from 263mm to 407mm covering excess with a 190mm suppressor. Just under 150mm extension. Can you see this posing any problems? Most have said it will be OK.
Also, I thought that a split gearbox (I.e. no parts to spring out) would have something unique that needs doing before opening up. I've had problems with it firing twice and fully auto in semi, so maybe this is what caused the gears to be out of place as it was definitely on safe, and is always left on safe.
On top of that, my trigger now clicks in semi as if its catching on the "safe" mechanism. I can see it physically catching with minimal pressure, then with the slightest but more pressure it jumps over the piece of metal it is catching on.

All I've ordered so far is a 6.03mm tightbore and suppressor to cover the additional length. My inner barrel is quite short, and I play mostly CQB but woodland always pops up once in a while and i find I need that last bit of range. I was told a longer inner barrel would help this?

(Laylax) Prometheus EG 6.03mm inner (407mm), purple soft nub and black dragon suppressor (190mm)
Current inner barrel is 261mm so you can guess what I'm doing with that extra length and the suppressor...
With the barrel I bought been labeled with "Laylax" in brackets before Prometheus, does this tell me that it's an off brand of Prometheus or... help please.

Am I OK in manually turning the gears? It felt a bit child like forcing and tugging things, but it ended in what I wanted.
I'm going to have another look tonight, with your info in hand, or on screen.

I opened up my cxp-hog the other night with split gearbox, and had alot of trouble putting it back together. I removed, moved or changed nothing before trying to put it back together. I was simply curious to see inside.
I think it was the tappet plate pushing against the gears. Could this be possible? I could see a slightly chewed piece of plastic that seems to fit in between the gears. Wise to replace?
The gun is all back together but I had to manually turn the gears slightly for this "piece" to fit. The gun fires as before, so presume all is well for now.
All help appreciated!

Unfortunately not no pal, I was going to go but I have a new job and need to focus on that for the first half of the month.
Me and my friend will be going to the Stan near end of Feb though.

Been looking into a few upgrades. I have a CXP-HOG with Electric Blow Back... Will this prevent me from carrying out what I have read on upgrading AEG's? Or will this mean there is a whole new field for me to look into?

I got the ICS-CXP-HOG, In the UK it comes with a M100 spring rather than M120 so it's around about 328fps. I clocked 324fps. (Bought from fire support)
The CXP was my first own AEG, its mint in my eyes, but as I say its my first AEG.One problem... Fires twice, in semi and sometimes fully auto in semi. As it says on the ICS website, you can use a 11.1v LiPo, but this is for the M120 spring. I bought two 11.1v's then got an email from ICS saying that I should use 7.4v's. The problem above stops after about half an hour, kind of like the battery is just too much for it to handle. Be aware of this if purchasing! 7.4v's on payday!
Hopefully going to be upgrading bits soon so will probably start a thread for anyone interested!

Rushed around on dinner to email about returning the mid caps, as I said I contacted wolf armouries... I don't know why I did that because I bought them from redwolfairsoft. Customer services had a laugh I can tell you that!

i have a set of the ICS 45 and 180 rnd mags, box of 6, work fine with my ICSCXP, as they are ICS, , there are probably cheaper ones but at the time FS didnt have any in and not yet had any need to look.
Let me know how you get on if you get another 'brand'
DjBen.... They don't click in, slide and fit nicely but don't click in place! :@ emailed wolfarmouries to get them returned. Only cost me £30 for 5 but I'd rather pay full whack and have them work.
On another note, WE 882 Holographic looks as sick as two hospitals on my CXP-HOG. And my stubby grip came today ready for weekend! Photo soon!

I want some mid caps for my CXP-HOG. I currently have 2 ICS hi caps that fit and feed, as you would expect, perfectly. Does anyone have experience with the mid caps as a pack of 6 is about £120 and don't wanna make the move if there are a load of cons.
Also, any other recommendations that may fit/feed nicely would be appreciated 😊
